    Netflix has been humping this, and recently made the original show available for streaming. I don't really care about this new show, but I'm happy to see they kept the theme song.

    Thought: We'll get Bran's Ser Arthur Dayne vision and the Tower of Joy before we see Jon resurrected. For storytelling purposes, I would think they have to set up his true importance before his return.

    Sure, but they both fail in this regard. You could make the argument that the Joker is the only truly "name brand" villain to come out of comics. No other is known to his degree.

    Uh, The Avengers isn't a villain movie, I'm not quite sure I get your comparison here. And let's be honest, outside of the Joker, the vast majority of movie-goers has no idea who any of these characters are. Hell, I don't know who any of them are.

    He was long since gone by then. His Deadpool has very little to do with the one that became hugely popular.

    It's not a Batman movie. Man of Steel was also not a Batman movie. As to why we comment, it's because SDCC just happened.

    Preemptive? You know there was a movie before this one, right? Helmed by the same people? Not sure if you're aware of this or not. We know exactly what we're getting here. This isn't some new IP by a group of unknowns.

    Better writing and direction. Less dark, less brooding. It's just depressing.

    The dialog in that trailer is just horrible. It's the same super-serious, super-important nonsense that fell flat in Man of Steel.
