I agree completely with you on FFII, David. It has always been my least favorite out of the entire series. Abombz, neither game is available for us to play, why oh why would anyone include them in a poll as to which is their favorite... there would be no one to vote on them.
-
Considering you left out VII, that leaves you with 10 slots for 9 games. Tactics makes it an even 10. Another thought on the original Final Fantasy... I was fairly unimpressed with the remake, and I don't quite now why. Everything is how it was in the original for the most part, and I just can't put a finger on what it is. I can still play the 8-Bit original and absolutely love it.

Ok, since ya got me here Abombz, I should also add that neither Crystal Chronicals or X-2 are out in North America, where a vast majority of the members here are from. It would be foolish to add them as an option to the poll.

Almost forgot, but judging my the interest shown in Final Famtasy on this board, I would say yes, it matters, Vostok. Considering there are 10 main games in the series, and 10 choices you are allowed to set in a poll, I felt the main series should get the most attention. The original poll lumped some of the games together, and left out another, and I felt it was simply badly thought out. Nothing against the original poster, I just thought it was poorly done. The mods will kill one of the polls (if not both), as there is no need for two. Just wanted to state my case.

Abombz, you haven't a clue what you are talking about, and your inability to comprehend what I said amazes me. I understand you have this thing against me, and that's fine, but do yourself a favor... don't respond to me by asking questions that have already been answered. It will only make you look even more like an ass than you already are by attacking me.

The original poll was a very poor one, the choices made available were a bad. I put up my own poll, and as you can see, it is simple and to the point, and gives a proper selection of choices for the question. I know you will kill one, I hope you look at both before deciding which should stay.

WTF kinda poll is this? You CANNOT lump Final Fantasy I, II, and III into the same choice, they are COMPLETELY different games. I is my favorite, II my least out of the series. And how can you not include VII? Poll for poll's sake, I say dump it. You can do better than this.

Easiest thing to do would be to create a MacrossWorld Paypal account.

The original Punisher (along with his current incarnation) was not muscle bound. My problem is not with his look, its with his age. The Punisher is in his 50's, I always thought DeNiro would be the right choice.

Do you have just the inks, then?

Pencils please!

The real problem is they stuck it in a time period where not much can change. The Rebels cannot beat the Imperials, and vice versa... you are stuck in a state of constant war. They would have been better of putting it in a setting where you can have major changes to the game's playing environment.

You know, I had to go with the NES here. While the Atari 2600 really started it all, the video game industry was in a free fall when the NES first came out. We would not have the current video game industry we have today if not for the NES. It saved the entire industry, and then blew the roof off of it.

Traveling through hyperspace ain't like dustin' crops, boy...

Ace Combat 4, now that is one hell of a game. I beat the living daylights out of that game. IMHO, Xenogears is the best RPG I have eve rplayed.

Ranks are lame. Why not just let us edit out member titles like we had it before. For those who don't know who Duke Togo is, having "Golgo 13" as my member title told them.

Have Graham sell off all of the free Yamato toys he gets for doing nothing around here. Give that money to Shawn.

One of the reasons why Square and Enix merged... its quite clear that Square had a much stronger presence in the internaitonal market (something Enix was sorely lacking). Dragon Quest is an institution in Japan, no other game compares.

They can think what they want, its still a fact.

Ruins of the SDF-1 in The Robotech Masters

Of course, you then get into the argument that the SDF-2 appears nowhere in the animation, which it doesn't. -
I accused you of being an elitist, Jem, I know you said you didn't hate it. And Skull, the only thing I'm implying is that I think you comprehension skills are severely lacking. Why put quotes around something if your intention was not to quote me? You want the thread closed because I just made a fool out of you. Whether you like the game or not, you cannot deny the impact Final Fantasy VII has had on the gaming industry. It put the Playstation at the top of the console list and it bought the RPG genre into the mainstream, opening up North American and the world to countless RPG titles that would never have seen the light of day outside of Japan otherwise. Oh, and Skull, I know what I typed and I know what I meant. "Maroon"

LOL, what a maroon. I NEVER said Final Fantasy VII was the best in the series, or anything even remotely close to that. Why don't you pull your head out of your backside and try READING what I am saying before you react to it.

You aren't getting it, JV... Studio Nue owns the story, characters, designs, etc... meaning they can do with them what they want, EXCLUSIVELY. Tastunoko only owns the the original series footage. They can't develope derivatives based upon it, because they do not own the story, characters, or the design rights. Tatsunoko could never have sold the rights to these designs to Harmony Gold, becuase they never had them to begin with. Based upon the ruling, if Hamrony Gold were to go ahead and develop any properties containing any designs or characters from the original Macross, they would be breaking the law. I'm sure there is some "fair use" in there somewhere, but you can count out seeing the characters from SDF Macross as you know them in say, a Sentinels setting.

They aren't in MOSPEADA. SURPRISE! I think we are seeing a pattern here. -

Mechamaniac is 100% correct. Debate on the mounds is pointless, they have nothing to do with SDF Macross.
