I've seen Zardoz. Its not as bad as Highlander II. NOTHING is as bad as Highlander II.

The Phantom Menace is NOT that bad.

Highlander II may be the worst movie ever made, period.

It didn't do well enough to warrent a big budget animated film.

I really don't think we need some direct-to-video quality Macross movie made. You know it would never been more than that. It would be the kind of thing shown on USA or Sci-Fi at 2 in the morning next to movies like Cyborg.

That would be a HORRID idea. I don't think Kawamori will be revisiting Macross 7 any time soon.

Couldn't the other staff members been influenced by Macross II in their development of 7? Kawamori didn't do the whole show all by himself.

They are when you throw in the fact that Macross II music is used in 7. I guess Kawamori had never heard that either, right? He just stumbled across the music and decided to use it, not knowing where it came from. Riiight.

I don't see how anyone could say Tatsunoko owns rights to the entire Macross franchise, when its quite obvious that Big West is continuing to pump out Macross products uncontested. I mean, HELLO, Macross Zero...

Exploring space is better than lost in space. We would not be having this discussion. Kawamori should have left the 2012 ending alone as it was.

You said it yourself that AFOS might be some sort of defensive mechanism. My point was there might be more to the whole "leave the miclones alone" now. The continuity keeps changing, who is to say? And you are assuming that Protoculture = miclones, which I don't think it does anymore. "Leave the miclones alone" may now mean more than just that the Prorotculture didn't want them to interfere. It might mean that the miclones were thought to be well defended and/or dangerous. Creatures like the AFOS could be the reason behind that.

Evil prototype... Remember, leave the miclones alone. Could be a good reason, perhaps the miclones were thougth to be left well defended by Protoculture weapons.

Why not just leave is as 2012 had, say they are out exploring the galaxy. He didn't need to have them disapear. We wouldn't be sitting here talking about any of this if he just had left the 2012 ending as it was.

Temple of Doom is a FABULOUS movie. I have found amongst many Indy fans it tends to be their favorite. No time for love, Dr Jones!
