I had pretty much given up on this project. When HW2 was announced, I was one of those who came out asking for them to finish the original HW mod insitead of starting over for HW2. Here we are in 2006 with a mod for neither.
-
Actually, no. Moore stated in the last podcast that the New Caprica situation will be resolved in the first 4 or 5 episodes of season 3, before they are back off on their way.

I dunno. I buy into the whole 12 Gods/12 Colonies/12 Cylons thing. I don't see this as coincidence.

Well, this is only what I have been begging for since season 1, LOL. You know, I still don't see how this doesn't end up with some sort of civil war. Whether it is Human & Cylon vs Cylon, or Human & Cylon vs Human & Cylon, it has seemeed to me that there is where they were taking it. I guess we shall see.
-
And here I was hoping this would be one of those cool "Macross vs Mr T" type threads.
-
Well, I gotta say, I have no clue where they are going with this. Everything I had read had me thinking Cylon civil war, a la Macross. Well, looks like the are all on the same page to me. Now we have to wait 7 months to find out where this is all going. Thank God The Sopranos is coming back this weekend.

Hurin is working on Macross Nexus, and Agent One has been busy at work.

The Official Aim for the Top! Gunbuster Thread
Duke Togo replied to Noriko Takaya's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
You know my opinion, NT, I don't see it as a sequel. -
Whatever side the Punisher is on. Honestly, I haven't been a collector in over a decade. I used to work in a comic book store. I got out when the comic market crashed in the early 90's. Now I can't get rid of these boxes I have sitting in my closet.

Excuse me, BSU, but I believe you mean The Official "Guess what I'm touching right now!" Super Thread. -
So This Is A No Sports Message Board?

Its hypocritical, but I appreciate how you've handled it, JsARCLIGHT. I'd just like to see an even hand, as I am sure the others would as well. Of course, as always, its administrator's prerogative. -
Its my ujnderstanding that it has not. FM3 takes place after the other FM games, including 5. The beam weapon with the Hoshun Wanzer was a prototype.

So This Is A No Sports Message Board?

Doesn't bother me that it got canned, but there is a point to be made here: The MW Automotive Thread, All Car Discussions Posted Here Official - Weapons Banter Thread, Swords, Guns, SCI-FI, Other...... The WWE and Pro-Wrestling Thread, All News and Results Posted Here These are all grossly off topic. The "SCI FI" in the Weapon thread is a some poor attempt to pretend to be on topic. Following the reasoning behind the closure of the Baseball thread (which I agree with being off topic and removable, by the way), all three of these should be locked, and/or deleted. -
It was originally given a NA release date in March by the gaming press, retailers, etc. There was no official anouncement to this affect. They since backed off of this date, and no one really knows what the status is. They now list it as not having a NA release because they simply don't know one way or the other. FM4 was nowhere as good as 1 or 3. This is not to say it was a bad game, its just not as engaging. Its a bit like playing a SRPG version of Armored Core, the story is rather irrelevant (and it hurts the game experience).

It wasn't expected it to. The craft of clay animation, especially with the long running quality and success of the Wallace & Gromit series, is tough to beat.

The one thing Robotech has going for it is the BGM.

No, the Academy dropped the big curtain on Star Wars. The thing is, the work is there, its not like the Academy can nullify that. You don't need a statue or an "Oscar" title before your work for it to be good (or, the best). And let's be honest, here, everyone has seen some of the absolutely screwy decisions the Academy has made over the years. I'm still trying to figure out how Return of the King won Best Picture, Director, etc, considering the overlong mess that it is. The Two Towers was the best effort of the trilogy.

Its quite amazing, in my mind, that the prequels didn't sweep the technical categories in the years they were released. No matter what one may think of them, there is no denying what ILM did with those films.
-
Wow. That's a shame. Too bad for you. 377209[/snapback] I agree.

This was one of those years that we didn't have one really overpowering film to beat us all into submission, forcing us to worship at its altar. This was one of those years were we will not remember who won what (or care, for that matter). The only thing that really stuck out to me was the near shut out of Episode III in the technical awards. I'm not 100% sure on the statement that was being made by this, but it certainly wasn't because it didn't deserve nominations.

They had little choice. They couldn't milk it forever, it had to have some conclusion. I doubt its the last we've heard of it, though. I don't know exactly what you were expecting here? She had a longer appearance than the original Cain. Again, what were you expecting here? The mission briefing took place aboard the Pegasus, not the Galactica. I don't recall seeing Apollo aboard the Galactica since being promoted. And if he was, it was very brief. And why was it silly? I agree with Moore, keeping characters in the same roles for however long a show runs shows a lack of creativity. Was Apollo to be nothing more than a pilot for the rest of the show? Is there someone else who you thought was more fit for the position? Ah, we agree on something. I truly thought they were setting up a re-occuring character when he was introduced. Who is to say what season 3 holds, though? Even Arthur had to wait to grow up before pulling the sword from the stone. This will be a long running plotline. I'm not 100% on this, but I do believe we'll be seeing her again next week. Can't say I totally disagree with you. What we are dealing with in BSG is something that was really a one shot min-series with hope for the future, but with no plans for it. Next thing they know they are planning to start production on season 3. From the sound of things, season 2 was really when they laid the groundwork for the series in total.

Jesus, I've got the same stuff on my iPod, too.

Macross Plus and II are both widely available. Check out Amazon.com for the easy purchase. I wouldn't recommend buying the bootlegs of 7 and Zero, the subs stink. You are better off downloading the fansubs online.

The main problem they never resolved (and I don't know if they ever will) is the fact when the mini first came out, then a good chunk of season 1, the general idea was "Cylons try to kill all humans, humans on the run". Remember when the colonies unconditionally surrendered in the mini? Remember when the Cylons didn't care and kept attacking? The Cylons could have had all the human guinea pigs they wanted (which is all they seem to want now). Admittedly, Moore and company had no idea where they were going with the show until well into season 1. Problem is, they left this huge, gaping continuity error. Well, its a good thing they wenty and rescued Anders, cause now we have a resistance leader handy!

I could be wrong, but from what I have seen, I'd say next week's episode has parts that take place perhaps months after this week's episode. Either that, or someone is having some sort of premonition/dream.
