  1. Looks like we still need a threat title name change.
  2. Stunned. Wrecked. Crying. That was episode 5 for me. I'm going to put this in spoiler tags because we appear to be the only active GoT thread on this forum, and book readers are in the same boat with the show watchers now. 24 hour spoiler tags is probably not a bad idea for the benefit of both camps. Edit: Also
  3. This episode floored me and seriously shook me up. One of the great ones. More to say tomorrow.
  4. I went from having no interest to having interest. The trailer feels right.
  5. "Two years after Commander Shepard repelled invading Reapers bent on the destruction of organic life, a mysterious new enemy has emerged. On the fringes of known space, something is silently abducting entire human colonies. Now Shepard must work with Cerberus, a ruthless organization devoted to human survival at any cost, to stop the most terrifying threat mankind has ever faced."
  6. It's being widely reported that the title of Episode 8 is Fall of the Resistance, based upon a leaked video of what is purported to be a poster for the upcoming Star Wars Celebration in London next month. I'd argue that the title is too on-the-nose to be real, but this is Star Wars we're talking about. The stronger argument against it being real is that the Resistance is far smaller than the Rebel Alliance was in Star Wars--it doesn't have very far to fall. The Republic is most definitely on the ropes, which means the Resistance is likely to be more relevant than ever. If I had to put money on anything, I'd say it would be a title that is Force-related.
  7. This is what happens when you dare to venture beyond the Omega 4 relay. Significantly better trailer than the original. "From Justin Lin, the director of Fast & Furious" made me chuckle; that's not this audience, dude. And am I seeing things wrong, or are there three different Federation ships in this trailer (one of them being the Enterprise)?
  8. There's nothing stopping the next Macross production from being more in tune with Zero than Delta (though I found Zero to be a bit boring, I am thinking more in terms of overall tone). In the grand scheme of things, 7 and Delta are the outliers in the franchise. You have SDF Macross, DYRL, Plus, Zero, and Frontier on one side of the spectrum, and 7 and Delta on the other.
  9. Sometimes going simple is best. Given its past history, I think it's time they got back to basics.
  10. You missed my point, as you did with Kalv's post. I'm not even going to bother to respond further.
  11. I really enjoyed Frontier, and I'm not so much a fan of Delta. How is it they are supposed to feel similar, because I'm missing it entirely. Wait, nevermind, you said that Delta doesn't feel much different than other Macross productions, but also that it's trying to do its own thing, which is a contradiction. Just saying. There is plenty of modern anime out there that isn't focused on "magical" idol jpop groups, so no, it has nothing to do with that. And please, don't move on to "you just don't understand it." That's always a losing argument. Fact is some of you guys like the idol group stuff, and some of us don't. And that's fine. But for the 100th time, please stop with the "but it's always been this way" nonsense.
  12. Better trailer, but I feel like it's showing too much. You could cut 20 seconds and have a much better trailer. Marketing department continues to crap the bed on this one.
  13. Here we go again. It's like people want to believe people like myself, Roy, and some others haven't seen all of the Macross productions several times. Somehow we're only casual fans who haven't really been in touch with the franchise for a while and don't really have a good grasp on the material. Please, give me a break.
  14. I don't love it, but I definitely don't hate it. Actually, I find it kind of interesting. I like this better than Frontier's Quarter design, for sure.
  15. Henceforth, the Aerial Knights shall be known as the ADS.
  16. I'm sorry, but what does your reply have to do with what I said? It doesn't even make any sense.
  17. Not even really magical in the book, though. I'm a bit rusty here, but can someone else confirm my memory that Mel wasn't all that sold on Stannis behind Azor Ahai, and she was helping him along with her bag of tricks?
  18. A planet full of cat people, exactly what Delta needed to help ground it a little! And that's the most realistic visual representation of hacking since Hackers came out. Zero Cool, indeed. NUNS sure is lucky Scooby and the gang were able to solve the mystery of the Var. They'd have never figured out without Wulkure's crack infiltration unit.
  19. No, they'll need an army--and they'll get one. Becsuse season 6 trailers. Also, Stannis's "Lightbringer" was nothing more than an ordinary sword. He wasn't Azor Ahai. The thing wasn't even Valyrian steel.
