We're probably all wrong, but our conclusions are fairly logical.

Most everything we've seen so far as SMS on it. I don't think its likely at this point to say its just "special forces".

Oh, on the heavily armored VF-25, reminds me of the Stampede a bit, with a touch of Metal Siren.

The VF-25 might be specific to the Frontier fleet (developed and deployed there). We already have the mystery of what exactly "SMS" stand for, and what it means. The Frontier fleet, numbering some 10 million people, may be, in some sense, independent from UN Spacey. Or maybe they just wanted to get new fighter into the series. They've been playing fast and loose with Macross for a long time now. Something seeming not reasonable, not probable, or just not fitting in, doesn't mean it is not what is going on. Yeah, and that picture Valkyrie addict posted has me a bit worried. I could really do without Spiritua and the mystical mumbo jumbo from Zero. I still think the series would be alot more fun if the Frontier had been a Megaroad class ship still looking to settle some 40 years after its launch.

Just because 1 to 2 Megaroads were launched a year, doesn't mean they were together. Ok, so, the Marcoss 7 was of the 37th Colonization Fleet. The Frontier is part of the 11th Fleet, but takes place after Macross 7. Or we are assuming, because of the mecha we see, but the year given is 20XX. Oh, and they seem to have lost the UN Spacy kite. This is all very strange.

If I like it, I buy it. No different than any US TV series or any movie I see in the theaters.

You have to assume, having seen the trailer, that the Frontier is the 11th Macross class colony ship, not the 11th "Super Long Distance Emigration Fleet". That would make it a Megaroad class. The numbers don't jive. And then we have the issue of 10 million colonists, which is WAY over what both class ships can hold. According to the Compendium, Megaroad class ships held 80,000 colonists, with the Macross class (the 7, atleast) holding 350,000. I guess this is where those colony pods that we see in the trailer would fit in. Which again makes it a Macross class colony ship.

They're pretty good about pumping out TV series subs these days.

We need a fact sheet on the top of this thread that is kept updated.

The point is a large majority of what is being fansubbed and downloaded is NOT available domestically, and won't be for years, if ever. Its easier for me to watch a Yankees game in Japan that it is for me to watch Gurren Lagann in the US. We cannot buy a product that is not available for us to purchase.

QFT. That's all there is to it. Macross F will most likely never see the light of day outside of Japan. Am I supposed to not look to fansubs?

If this breaks down into another one of those Macross 7 threads, I am going to scream. Its called retcon, it happens. Its happened in Macross.
