  1. No, I think its more of a "right place, right time, right person".
  2. Oh, the Space Monsters didn't enter the main colony ship to check out the shops. They were looking for something. And I don't think it was any mistake that Sheryl was brought to the Frontier when she was.
  3. Is that just the ripped version from the epsiode?
  4. Wait wait, there is a HD subbed version? Edit: Nevermind, I found it.
  5. I am just not seeing it. I've heard a few people say that, he's angry, yadda yadda. Makes me feel like I'm watching something totally different, because I don't see it at all. If anything, he reminds me of Milia.
  6. Or most anime. If he doesn't like it, he doesn't like it. Doesn't really matter. Hell, when this series comes out, there may be more people not liking it for one reason or another. I don't see the point in debating a technical issue like this. Its not like he's missing a plot point, and he'll like the show better if he understands it. If he doesn't like the animation, he doesn't like it. I hated M7's animation. We can't make him like it.
  7. Coincidence? Most likely not. Is she Mao's grand daughter? We don't know.
  8. I was assuming, since its a new fighter, that it had to do with the availability of equipment.
  9. Something else I may have missed. When was the center of the galaxy ever said to be the "heartland" of the Protoculture civilization?
  10. Like I said, watch the first episode.
  11. I suspect it also goes along with the joke of the screens in the original SDF Macross having all sorts of nonsense on them.
  12. Yeah, he is a tad senstive about the "Princess" nickname, but I think any of us would be.
  13. Alto doesn't seem like he's mad at anyone. He comes across as a very confident young man, and a bit cocky. Cocky, but not careless. He is obsessed with flying, and really seems to care for little else. But I don't see him as some angst ridden anime cliche.
  14. Which, *I believe*, is considered canon. But, canon in the Macross universe is constantly changing.
  15. Brera Sterne... alien pilot? Rival star singer? An unused character design from FF XII? You decide!
  16. Nice pickup, Cyde. Certainly does look like it.
  17. Actually, Alto is *supposed* to be the genius pilot of this series. "Trainee student pilot (main character?). 16 years old. He was born in the lineage of Kabuki female role and is a genius pilot, so he went against his father's wish and hopes to become a pilot."
  18. My guess was the thing around his neck had something to do with his kabuki background. I could be totally wrong, though. Could be school ID tags. I dunno.
  19. Those who actually watched the episode pretty much figured out that there is something shadowy going on behind the scenes. That the APHOS left Earth explains NOTHING. That anyone knew of its existence, ON EARTH, explains nothing. Your reasoning and your conclusions do not make sense. At all. If they were expecting an alien attack, I would assume it was because of THE NEAR TOTAL ANNIHILATION OF EARTH BY ALIENS. They know aliens are out there. They know the legacy left behind by the Protoculture. That they were expecting these specific creatures speaks to something else.
  20. It was recorded both ways. Its explained in Dangerous Days, I'm pretty sure. Or maybe Ridley's commentary track.
  21. LISTEN TO MY SONG! Stage fright, go away This is my big day...
  22. You stated it as having been released, as if it were a known fact. It is not. It hasnt even been hinted at. Did you actually watch the first episode, or are you guessing about it as well?
  23. There is a third sub out now, I'd rate it as "good" as well, but it has differences from the other "good" sub. Neither one is perfect (for instance, the third botches the lyrics to 'Don't Be Late'). All three subs use different names, but having watched both good ones and doing some careful listening, I do believe Ozma's wingman's name is 'Gilliam'.
