Not really, and his argument is total nonsense. Fact is we have 25 years worth of animation, games, and print that cover some 70 years of Macross history, and yet not one single mention of another Macross class ship launch.

Sorry, Zin, gotta call you out on this one. You guys are coming off like a bunch of Techies arguing about the existence of a second SDF ship in the original Macross animation. All evidence points to this being the one and ONLY SDF-1. Next episode preview leads one to believe that the ship either went back into service, or was moved. Its not a Megaroad, and there is no Megalord.

You've played the third one, then? Diablo III will be a good replacement for those of us who have moved on from MMO's (WoW, in my case), but wouldn't mind having a game to run around with a couple of friends in, killing stuff for an hour here or there.

Correction, it was the SDF-2. They did not drop the SDF designation for the Megaroad class ships.

That is what they say, but he been sneaking it in ever since. Hell, we even had Macross II music show up in Macross 7.

Kawamori has been trying to incorporate bits of Macross II into the franchise for over a decade. I don't find it surprising at all.

That would surprise me, as its been seen on Earth as late as Macross Plus.
