  1. I think this is a big mistake. Sure, it'll be great and look great, but we still have these gigantic plot holes left over from the series with no answers in sight.
  2. Currently listening to the Guitar Hero III rip of Death Magnetic by Metallica. The CD release is a mess. I rather like the album, best they've done in a very long while.
  3. I wouldn't say a "true goddess", but she is certainly a very different character.
  4. No, did it seem like I was? The only connections between the two series were that Mao Nome is in both of them (though she has no speaking role in Frontier and only appears in a few flashbacks), and that the Birdman design was based upon the Vajra Queen (though no character discusses it in the series). They are weak at best. As I said, its very "Darth Vader built 3PO".
  5. Ooooh, ok, gotcha. For the record, all information we have right now has this game being called "Star Wars: The Old Republic".
  6. Its Old Republic, and I don't get the Matrix reference.
  7. All of the first episode subs were screwed up, because they didn't know alot about the series at the time. Most names were best guesses.
  8. Go there, and it can't be based on Macross, neither WB or HG have the rights to use those designs.
  9. I've only seen the first episode they did, and it seemed that atleast on that episode they were using the Shinsen script. I could be wrong.
  10. Archaic lossless.
  11. .ape is NOT your friend!
  12. Are you just guessing, or have you heard something?
  13. "Because its anime" I mean, really, do you think Kawamori gives this any more thought than, "I need to do something new"?
  14. No no, I meant calling Luca the Nene of Frontier. I really feel you guys hit the nail on the head with atleast Side A of your review.
  15. Wonder who started that...
  16. I also agreed with just about everything said in Side A, I've either thought it or been saying it for months. Can't wait to hear Side B.
  17. Frontier had very little to do with Zero. It was more of the "Darth Vader built 3PO" type of connection. Zero bombed because it took too long to get all of the episodes out, and it retconned what we thought we knew about the time before SDF Macross.
  18. Once again, that's a very post-Macross 7 way of looking at things, and it really has nothing to do with SDF Macross. There is no "power" behind Minmay's music.
  19. 12 came out last week.
  20. Well, the notion that Minmay's singing made everyone all lovey-dovey, dreaming of butterflies and pretty flowers, and that they all just laid down their arms and said, hey, screw this, lets hold hands and sing koom-by-ya, is totally wrong. There is no magic involved with Minmay, this isn't Macross 7. For the Zentradi, Minmay was simply the face of human culture, and it worked. And then they beat the snot out of the ones who resisted. SDF Macross did not have a "peaceful ending", the war stopped because the UNS and its Zentradi allies won by killing the rest.
  21. No, I said watch SDF Macross again. How you got your statement out of that is beyond me. Unless this is "Make Random Statements" Day? Minmay's singing (representing human culture) helped divide the Zentradi forces (while throwing the "loyal" faction into disarray) , which allowed the UNS and their new Zentradi allies to blow the hell out of the Boddolezer fleet. That's not "love and peace", son, that military might. Breetai and Exedol didn't start making out when Minmay started singing. They opened up a can of whoop ass on their brethren. When exposed to human culture, the Zentradi realized there was more to their lives than constant warfare. To some this was extremely shocking, to others it was enticing. I suggest you spend less time reading what Carl Macek has to say, and more time watching SDF Macross.
  22. "Shoji Kawamori is the George Lucas of anime" ON THE NOSE
