  1. It was so poorly edited, I was shocked. They even butcher the the Genome "Spiral Champion" prequel story that opens to movie, taking all meaning out of it by removing the sequence where he gives in to the anti-spirals and turns against his own kind. One minute he's fighting for the spirals, the next thing you know he's killing them all.
  2. Underwhelming. Not quite sure what the point of the movie was.
  3. When a title has the words "Live Action" in it, you have a 100% chance of it being horrible.
  4. There is a link in the original article that takes you to an english mail form on the japanese Konami site where you can send in your support for a new ZOE game.
  5. Joystiq.com Kojima gauging gamer interest in new Zone of the Enders by Randy Nelson { Apr 22nd 2009 at 9:30PM } PlayStation Six years after the release of the last console game in the series, Hideo Kojima is talking Zone of the Enders. Specifically, the Kojima Productions founder (and creator of a little series called Metal Gear) asks if gamers are really interested in a Zone of the Enders 3 during a new episode of MGS4's in-game "Integral" podcast. Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner -- the, well, second game in the series -- was directed by MGS4 co-writer and director, Shuyo Murata, and remains a fan favorite in addition to a critical success; we're surprised it's taken Kojima this long to broach the topic of a sequel. In closing out a discussion about the demand for a follow-up, Kojima and his podcasting partners ask gamers to email them if they'd be interested in seeing it happen. Kojima-san, about your mail server ... we're sorry about its imminent death under the weight of all those emails. Surely you can buy a new one with profits from ZOE 3?
  6. Sounds like Disney is co-producing this. I would assume this would mean that it'll be shown in the US, so don't expect the usual anime torrent sources to carry this.
  7. Not cool, and grossly overrated. Dark City does that story much better.
  8. Just watched the first episode of Shin Mazinger, perhaps the most absurd anime I have ever watched. Not quite my taste.
  9. Yeah, seems like they are "re-telling" alot of anime lately, which I find disturbing. Very Hollywood of them. Where have all the good ideas gone?
  10. Not going to pay for something I can watch on TV for free in the fall.
  11. You thought wrong. The pilot was always slated for release on DVD before the series aired.
  12. Finally finished Casshern: Sins. Started out really strong, dragged a bit toward the middle, and a disappointment by the end.
  13. I'd rather he put out ZOE 3, but indeed, that was a great segment.
  14. I'm over halfway through it, and its dark. Check that, its REALLY EFFING DARK. But its good.
  15. I am thinking that is perhaps what it really is.

  17. Fixed! Though, its possible they were simply Homo Sapiens Sapiens. Modern humans are not genetic decedents of Neanderthal, nor is there any evidence of cross-breeding.
  18. I don't like these sorts of threads, because what they really are asking is "what's your favorite 'x' ever?" Its based solely on personal opinion, there are no facts involved. My favorite anime? TV Series: Macross OAV: Gunbuster Movie: Nausicaa Honorable mention: The first 27 episodes of Euerka Seven is probably the best anime I have ever had the pleasure of watching.

  20. The Earth that they settle is not the Earth of the 13th Tribe. This is made pretty clear. Also, Galactica sent out a Raptor to the rendezvous point, which is what leads the fleet there. The Galactica was not capable of making another jump.
  21. Fact is, no one knows who owns the rights to the DYRL animated outside of Japan. I do recall HG making some vague comments about it, but I am fairly certain they don't have them.
