  1. You do realize Bruce Lee was born in San Fransico, right?
  2. Except they don't. And yes, they did say your choices over three games would lead to wildly different endings, and there would definitely not be an "A, B, or C" type ending to the game. The ABC line is directly from Bioware. For me, the biggest problem is the entire Normandy sequence at the end. It makes no sense at all. Had that simple been cut out, I'd be far less bothered by it. But it's still far short of what it should have been (and this is coming from someone who used to defend the ending).
  3. More implausible than what he/she was able to accomplish through the three games up to that point?
  4. Except that entire theory went out the window with the release of "The Final Hours" documentary/document. That ending is exactly what it seems to be, and it's the reason why it's the hardest to get.
  5. The entire episode was a mess. Hell, the show is a mess at this point. I guess this is where I check out of this conversation, as I won't be watching season 3.
  6. Never read the comic, and I have no desire to read the comic. There isn't any "fan boy rage" going on here. I watched the show on it's own merits, and the show just lost me.
  7. From a post on AICN: "Why not introduce Batman to The Walking Dead? It would be just as realistic as a tiny black Ninja chick with a pair of armless zombies on a chain.......for frakk sake...."
  8. Yeah, maybe in the comic books. She seems grossly out of place when she appeared in the show. What's next, a time traveler?
  9. On the nose, Fly--she seemed WAY out of place.
  10. But The Sopranos ending makes sense if you paid attention to the conversation Bobby Bacala had with Tony a few episodes before the ending. Their life goes on--it's the viewers who got whacked (hence the sudden cut to black).
  11. The Normandy scene makes no sense whatsoever. No, you're still not getting it. The level of trauma is completely different.
  12. You're missing the point, Beyond. You can kill someone with a knife, and you can kill someone with a bullet, and they're going to create two entirely different scenes.
  13. Scream, you missed my point entirely on number 1. You also missed what the game itself has been telling you since the original. And your analogy is way off. Something newer and better will fill their role. And no, there aren't any heavy hints of another ending--that was all fan-driven speculation that has pretty much gone poof. Whether they change something at this point is unknown. And Beyond, that was an entirely different circumstance. It's nitpicking by the fanbase because they can--not because its logical. Doesn't take a rocket surgeon to see why it's different.
  14. So disheartening... "The Final Hours," a documentary and document on the creation of ME3 is out for iPad (other platforms coming soon), and it pretty much confirms
  15. Well, you have to admit, Eugimon, it is a wonderful setup for the next game in the franchise.
  16. Ok, so I'll address your points one by one:
  17. I now have to admit that the fan reaction and media coverage has turned me. I'm no longer satisfied with what they gave us.
  18. A member of the Bioware staff has pointed fans to this thread on the official forums. Definitely starting to feel like something is up.
  19. I can't confirm this, but I've read that Bioware will have more to say on the ending at the end of the month.
  20. From the official Mass Effect twitter On the ending: "if the fans knew what was in store, the reaction would be different." On your save game: "We're keeping our saves, that's for sure."
  21. I agree. One thing that puzzles me is why some people see during the Red ending, and some don't. I saw it when I played out all three endings on my Paragon male Shep (though only during the Red ending), but it seems many don't.
  22. I'm cool with that. Again, it's not how I would have ended the Shepard trilogy, but I don't hate it. My biggest issue with it is the plot hole that involves the It's like there is a missing scene somewhere.
  23. I have to say, the level of stupidity surrounding the discussion online over the ending is staggering. If you didn't get it, that's fine, we'll talk about it and explain it. If you didn't like it because you wanted/expected something different, that's fine, to each their own. But if you hate it and think it's stupid because you don't understand it, well, you're just an effing moron. Do I personally like the ending(s)? Yes. Do I have any issues with the ending(s)? Yes. Per my previous post, I think I prefer the "Red" ending over the "Blue" and the "Green," simply because of my time invested in this series. It doesn't really fit in with my Paragon Shepard, but it gives me the final scene I want. That said, Bioware is on the record as saying that Shepard's story is over, and any new games set in that universe will not involve him.
  24. I beat the game last night using my Paragon Shepard that dates back to ME1 (I have a Renegade one as well that I have yet to play in ME3). I got to view all three of the "best" endings by getting my total military strength up around 7,200 (which is about as high as you can go), and my effective military strength over 5,000 (through multiplayer). That 5,000 effective stat is key; though, as I understand it 4,000 may work as well, it's just slightly less forgiving if you make some bad choices at the end. As far as I know, there is no other way to view the best endings (regardless of what Bioware says). Bioware may view the 2,800 ending as the best (it's listed as "Green" in the spoiler section bellow), but I am not sure I feel that way. Also, something I'd like to let everyone know up front: your choices in the first two games have little-to-no impact on the end of the game. You can come into ME3 having never played the earlier two and still get one of the three best endings. There are some 17 possible endings to ME3 (of which there are three "best"), though they only have three main variances: Imported saves from the previous game and New Game+ saves are treated to a secret post-credits scene that takes place sometime in the future. The "best" endings are: Minus a few missteps, I loved the hell out of ME3. I wish the ending gave more answers (i.e. backstory), but it was a hell of an adventure with some truly epic moments.
