I feel like we already can guess what games we'll be seeing on this system. I just want to know how much it costs.

1. Then you don't get to play the older generations' games. I understand not everyone here is tech-savvy, but this is not a new issue with gaming consoles. Short of putting PS2 and PS3 processor chips in the new PS4, there is no way to play the games on the system. Adding these chips raises the price of the system significantly. 2. Most boring thing in the world to you. They are tapping into a very large market by adding this feature. 3. We haven't even seen the console yet, I don't get what you are complaining about. 4. I was under the impression that it was built into the new controllers. I may be wrong on this point, however.

Drew Karpyshyn has come out and said he is not working on a KotOR movie (which doesn't mean he isn't working on a SW-related script), and this rumor definitely came out of the Bioware studious.

Except for the glaringly obvious, which is your example of GOG is completely irrelevant in this case. PC hardware != console hardware. PS2 emulation is dodgy at best, even on the top of the line hardware, and PS3 emulation isn't even a reality. So yes, the complaints about not being able to physically own these games--which you wouldn't be able to play on the PS4 otherwise--is rather short-sighted and silly (kinda like your use of sheeple).

Free will is an illusion. Every "choice" you make is pre-determined by human instinct/nature and prior experiences, removing any real choice from the equation. Just sayin'. Sheeple, very cute. During your rant, you completely ignored the fact that these services make available games that you can no longer buy for systems that are no longer made, at prices that are a fraction of what they went for when originally sold at retail--including rare titles that go for silly amounts of money on eBay.

There is only one trilogy in the works: VII-IX. And remember, KotOR is a time period, and is not strictly the Revan story.

Harry seems to be insinuating that this rumor is going around internally at Bioware.

I think like most things right now (and as pointed out in this posting), there is some kernel of truth to it because Lucasfilm is literally kicking the tires on everything. Throw it at the wall, see what sticks. Anyway, fun rumor worth sharing: Is Lucasfilm developing a KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC project? "Hey folks, Harry here... Consider this a rumor at this stage. Before I get directly into the rumor, which showed up in a rather elaborate email today, let me talk a bit about what is going on at LUCASFILM right now. When AICN ran this rumor by some trusted sources, the only thing we got was a statement that there is literally a ton of activity going on regarding a whole bunch of ideas for Lucasfilm. Essentially, we are living in a time - where there are multiple generations of filmmakers, screenwriters and artists at all levels of film and media production - that have a very real opportunity to try out their ideas. So yes, there's all manners of fantasy dream projects regarding a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. But the only project that has hardcore active development is EPISODE VII - it is the only STAR WARS project that is beyond the treatment stage. SO - even if this is true, there is zero guarantee that any of the projects that we're hearing about outside of EPISODE VII will actually come into being. That said - this is one of those dreams that seem to be being pursued, but isn't confirmed yet. Now for the rumor. Drew Karpyshyn - the man that created the scenario and much of the dialogue in the STAR WARS: KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC. He also worked on JADE EMPIRE and STAR WARS: THE OLD REPUBLIC. Along with writing MASS EFFECT and MASS EFFECT 2. Well he left BIOWARE back in February of last year to work on "screenwriting" and it seems that BIOWARE is a hot bed of rumor regarding the notion that Drew Karpyshyn is working up a screenplay for a film version of KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC. Is this true? Or just the idle gossip of hard working game designers at BIOWARE? I've reached out to Drew Karpyshyn and as of this posting I've yet to hear back. On his personal website he states that he has not yet produced or sold any screenplays and that he's nearly completed his first script and will be looking for an agent to sell it shortly. With his rather all-star status in games, I'm sure whatever Drew is working on currently is likely to be something worth looking at."

They've got a good team assembled for this first film, and I'm going to have faith in their ability to craft a hell of a film until they show me otherwise.

Alec Guinness and Peter Cushing were both in their 60's when they made Star Wars. I don't really see the issue, but maybe that.s just me.

Its hardware looks solid and you can play used games on it. Personally, I don' thave any issues with this thing yet. If it comes in around that rumored $400 price point, I'd say the system is right were it needs to be.

Why would they need to bring their youth back? It's pretty safe to say at this point this movie isn't picking up right after the end of RotJ.

http://www.theforce.net/latestnews/story/Mark_Hamill_Lucasfilms_Talking_to_us_150402.asp I'd do this post up a bit more, but I'm on my iPhone. Essentially, Hamil is saying they want them back (and that he's interested).

At the end of the day, it's all about one's personal taste in film. While I'd personally give T3 a 6/10 (I really dug the ending), I know some people like it more and some like it less. But when a movie (lIke the new Die Hard) gets a 16%, that's a pretty solid statement about a pretty bad movie. Keep in mind that the reviews aggrogated on RT comes from people from all walks of life. This isn't the NYT's movie critic and his circle of friends. RT works (and is popular) because it casts a wide net. It doesn't mean you'll always agree with it, and it doesn't mean that you should skip a movie that REALLY has your interest because it rated poorly there. But it's still a fairly accurate barometer of the quality of many of these movies.

When was the last time a Die Hard movie actually was good? Maybe the second one? And that's pushing it.

Why, just why? Let's say, for the sake of argument, the very idea of a 5th Die Hard movie wasn't enough to scare you away. And then let's say you completely missed the trailer--just didn't see it. Going one step further, let's say you completely missed the word of mouth on Facebook, internet forums, and the like. Taking all of those things out of the equation, IT GOT A 16% ON ROTTEN TOMATOES. Even worse, it was 11% on the day of release. All one has to do is look. You guys kill me.

I thought we had purged you folks in the last thread. Anyway, Az is right--who knows what they plan to do here. These could be little more than cameos, or smallish roles.

Now Keith, you know as well as anyone that the EU means jack squat when it comes to the movies. I wouldn't say I'd be shocked if they carried over stuff from the novels, but I don't expect them to adhear to whatever has taken place in them.

The Latino Review is reporting that Harrison Ford has signed on to once again play Han Solo in Episode VII. Of course, this is just a rumor until we get the official confimation, but it should be noted that TLR is pretty good when it comes to news leaks.
