Somebody at the U.N. forgot to notice that Robotech depicts the U.N. as an aggressive military organization and an authoritarian one that ultimately gets the earth fried.

Where can one catch up on the actual series and plot? Don't have access to DVDs. In fact, all my knowledge of New Generation/Mospeada is from a Comico Comicbook which showed Scott crashing and looking at the hologram of dead Marlene in the rain. Pretty well done for a Comico Comicbook.

This is my first time checking up on this mod for quite awhile. It's looking great as usual. When it's done, a group of us will have to swap IPs and have a Macrossworld multiplayer space battle!

not sure it would work for the screen protectors but when Im putting decals on our mining trucks we use a hot air gun to remove all the airbubbles. Don't tell everybody, trade secret . How does this work? Would a blow-dryer suffice? As far as the PSP goes, this thing gets fingerprints so quickly. It would be a cool mod to take it all apart and respray all the black plastic with a flat coat of paint or vinyl dye.

As for episode 2, I'm not happy. I want to see more snobby people in big cresent outfits and more time lord trials and adventures on the most myseterious and powerful planet in the galaxy. To be honest, this series feels very cheap and I understand it is low budget but the CG is pretty poor. Even the opening titles are bland and look like they belong to the 1989 series in their technical sophistication. It's also a little too goofy (why did the garbage can burp?). I fondly recall the John Pertwee era Terror of the Autons and damn, that was frightening in black and white when the businessman was swallowed alive by the furniture. That was much more impressive than the garbage can (sorry - rubbish bin). The old Doctor Who managed to make campy special effects look absolutely horrifying and mystifying. The new one is just too goofy (I mean, how stupid does Rose have to be not to see that her boyfriend is now plastic?) and I really detest Rose as a companion. I've always liked the Doctor's intelligent women companions like Sarah Jane and Romana. Rose is like a dumber Ace. Back to my qualms about the pilot, when the Doctor visits Rose's apartment he looks at his ears and complains about them like it's the first time he's seen them - okay, so this regeneration maybe recent...but then the conspiracy theorist goes and shoes Rose all these pics of the Doctor (all Eccleston) from the past, probably long experienced after he met Rose...how would the Conspiracy theorist manage to track down only the pics of this incarnation of the Doctor which interestingly is pretty new in his time. There was a really intense quality to the filming of Doctor Who, this series seems too bland and digital. I also wish it were serialized.

For everything Media Player Classic -> opensource version of the classic media player with every option and function you can dream of. With right plugins, can play realplayer, quicktime, shockwave flash, etc. in addition to mpeg, divx, xvid, ogm, avi, mp3s, DVDs, music CDs, TV tuner, webcam, other devices well...basically anything and everything with full functionaility of amazing amounts of options. One small executable file is all (then get programs like quickalternative to play quicktime, etc.) Full control of everything, even zoom, subtitles, you can manually shrink or expand both horizontally and vertically, seriously, I don't have the room to fill in all the abilities. The only thing Media Player Classic doens't play is video game music files like nsf's, etc. so the best program for general music I'd have to say is Deliplayer. That thing has go so many features even I'm confused but it's infinetely expandable and has much better GUI that's completely customizable in more ways than I can figure out.

I HATE Basara. There is no other character that so completely encompasses "hippie with no real sense of reality or moral comprehension beyond his own selfish vanity clouded by self-disillusionment" The men and women of Macross 7's military put their lives on the line to protect the citizens of City 7. Here comes this punk recklessly flying into the midst of battle, endangering fellow pilots with total disregard for their well-being, safety, and whatever they were trying to accomplish. Instead, while the pilots of Macross 7 are dying horrific deaths around him, and explosions fill space with death, he zips around not protecting those pilots but rather singing his head off, vainly believe that everybody will like his music. What an intergalactic jackass. If they had written Macross 7 to show that he actually had concern and care for his fellow pilots, and that cultureshock did have the immediate effect of saving lives, he could have been a sympathetic hero. But no, he's always an arrogant snob, blasting into space and singing his jolly head off.

Does anybody remember this series from 1993? I have to say, in the face of all the cartoons and anime I have ever seen in my life, nothing quite grabbed my attention and really stays as one of the best series I have seen out of everything. Seriously. The animation was spectacular (might have been a Japanese studio, the composer was certainly Japanese), the music was awesome, and the story was really gripping and pure science fiction. Does anybody have copies of this on tape? I'd die for it, there were only 13 episodes produced which is quite sad but there is a comic book that it was based upon. It's set in the Xenozoic era, 600 years in the future in an era where ecological disaster and human wars have really messed up the earth. Civilization is separated by rising seas and knowledge of technology, science, etc. have been mostly lost. Huge ancient metropolis's are covered in vines and growth and somehow, the dinosaurs have returned. In this era, people are still relatively modern but they have little knowledge of what happened in the past and why the earth is like how it is now. They constantly finding the technology of the ancients and misusing it or trying to simply survive in their giant cities with little knowledge of how they were run. In this time, a mechanic named Jack Tenrec operates his own shop/base where he has a passion for rebuilding ancient cars (Cadillacs in particular) and is joined by a beatiful woman who was an ambassador from another continent, trying to make contact with lost cities. They fight Dinosaur poachers, Sharnhorst - corrupt officals in the large totalitarian military cities, and generally try to survive in an insane ecology and environment, or prevent ancient technology (satellite weapons, ancient dormant robot armies, biological weapons etc.) from being misused to obtained by the madmen who rule the cities.

There was recentely an article in a Canadian newspaper about the police arresting a man for "importing illegal pornographic material" and he was basically a manga importer from Japan and there was hentai manga in there. Somebody at the customs office reviewing incoming parcels called the police. The journalism editorialized a bit and went to the point where it said: "animated underage characters in pornographic situations - often called anime" (or something like that). I think the article was later recanted but it was pretty bad, still this guy was arrested for possessing hentai manga which by nature of it's medium cannot possibly be animated. But this is stupid, a guy importing manga, illustrated depicitions of sexual situations involving characters that appear to be minors can get arrested and charged with possession of child pornography? Aren't child pornography laws designed to protect against real children being abused and depicted in such things? How does illustration, art, and other media even fall into the same catagory? Or are they being proactive now, deeming that posessing illustrations of minors means that you'll later elevate yourself to real children?

It'd be awesome if you could find a Gakken toy and get him to do it for you like that custom one we saw earlier.

I'm not buying this until the analyst speculated 50GB harddrive version in 2006. It'd be a total waste of money at the current time since I have much more interest in it as a portable media player and homebrew software/games player than playing official PSP games.

Lowell from Wings is cast as the villain in SM3. When I watch Spider-Man, I'll be expecting him to say: "Duh...uhh...Joe...umm, I have no brain. Don't worry about that giant hole in the wing, your plane's fine. That Helen shure is hot!". And I sure wish Mary Jane would die in the movies, I'd much rather see Felicia Hardy!

Uhh, the Testarossa in Miami Vice WAS DONATED TO THE SHOW BY FERRARI in the 3rd season. I don't know if any misrepresentation fears had anything to do with the replacement of the Daytona Spyder which was indeed kit car.

K.A.R.R. was devastatingly cooler in the ill-fated Team Knight Rider. K.A.R.R. was a modern modified black Ferrari 355 GTS with missile launchers! I wet my pants! That's seriously one good vehicle and would be great in a new series. -edit- Actually, it was renamed K.R.O. KNIGHT REFORMULATION ONE The driver was Martin Jensen and it was supposed to replace KITT and Michael Knight, except the car went crazy like K.A.R.R. and killed 6 people and Team Knight Rider (all 5 ugly vehicles) had to team up to destroy K.R.O.

I watched the first episode a few weeks ago. It ain't too bad. I don't like the girl companion. She is too much of a British bimbo. I've always prefered the intelligent women the Doctor had as companions like Sarah Jane and Romana. This girl is pretty much dumber Ace #2 if such a thing is possible.

Especially those Gundam girls that have their armor breaking off by accident! Like in the Sentinel art book that I can't seem to find at the moment. And I really don't like the style of character design on that website. Gundam girls are always best in the 80s style.
