The Trailer for Batman Begins is OUT!

One extra thing that shows the depth of detail and fan service in this film. Serious Bat fans realized is that Gotham City has been modeled true to the original comic book layout. -

Star Wars Episode 3 Spoilers Thread

In case he's not clear enough... Most scholars and historians agree that the Spartan army was all about man on boy sex. And why can't Jedi marry? Marry = more Midoclorians. -
http://www.thisislondon.com/showbiz/articl...urce=Metro&ct=5 I hope they give him a more fluffy haircut. He looks much younger and capable when his hair is longer and wilder like in his recent non-Bond films. The last Bond film had his hair way too short for somebody his age, made him look pathetic.

Revenge of the Sith has been seen!

Well, sounds exactly as the final script does. Lame duck with no surprises and not enough nods to ANH. As for the Death Star - it took them 20 years to build the Death Star??? And yet it took them like 2-6 years to build Death Star II? -
I could use more decals for my SDF-1. I did some custom work on my years ago already by cutting up leftover stickers. The but result is the carriers look empty.

Why is George Lucas considered such a big hollywood producer/director? When he started out he was supposed to be this revolutionary, cool, young director with projects like THX1138 and American Grafitti. Then he did Star Wars, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Indiana Jones, Young Indiana Jones, and then Star Wars, Star Wars, and this summer Star Wars, and in 2007 Indiana Jones. So like, what's the deal with this guy? His good buddy Spielberg's been cleaning up everywhere with hit movies one after the other. Lucas has collossal movie success but it's nothing but 9 movies made out of the same 2 franchises. Sure a lot of his money went into Skywalker Ranch and Industrial Light and Magic but they are parts of his company, not his personal projects with total involvement like film production. Maybe all these years of doing nothing is why he's gone insane and went and raped our collective childhoods? I guess maybe you can't fault him. If 1974-1983 was Star Wars. 1979-1993 were Indiana Jones. And 1997-2005 are Star Wars. He's keeping busy I suppose. Better than most of us. And raping the box office too.

Star Wars Episode 3 Spoilers Thread
ComicKaze replied to zeo-mare's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Like all the ships in Star Wars, the Blockade Runner is based on real-life naval ships. Civil War Era Blockade Runner http://www.wideopenwest.com/~jenkins/ironclads/famous.htm It's not a nickname. Star Destroyer doesn't mean "Ship that blows up stars", it's referring to the Destroyer class of naval ships...just in space. Destroyer, Frigate, Corvette, etc. all get their naval designations from this era also. Lincoln blockaded all the Southern ports so these blockade-runner steamers brought smuggling to a new level to supply the south. Geez, don't you guys know any civil war history? Lucas isn't just making it all up. Blockade Runners are the second most popular ships from Civil War history after the Ironclads (first ironclad battleships Merrimack and Monitor). Don't get your information from Star Wars games and books and argument about their canonicity. Star Wars fans get too caught up inside it all sometimes. Remember all the common themes in Star Wars are ones that Lucas uses from history. IE: Imperial Stormtroopers are equivalent to Nazi Stormtroopers. Heck, all the Imperial officer's uniforms are Nazi designs. -
So what was the question?

Doesn't Enterprise remind you of when anime series are ending and you know the last episode is coming up in 3-4 episodes and you're wondering how they're possibly gonna wrap it up? Nonetheless, yesterday's was the most original episode in years. Loved the intro of the evil Star Trek and I now realize just how much I'm going to miss it. The only problem is Bakula can't seem to do what actors love the most - play evil. This actually reminds me of TOS, more violence and scantily clad women. Archer would of course, stand no chance against Emperor Kirk and Spock the Merciless. I read the actors were all very hurt and angry at the last episode. They don't even get a proper goodbye together as a crew. Instead, they have to give their screentime to has-been TNG Riker and Troi seperately. -edit- just watched it again... oh my. Bakula is William Shatner ham acting x 100!!!

Hah! Archer wouldn't stand a chance if he met up against Emperor Kirk and Spock the Merciless!!!

xeno- or xen- pref. 1. Stranger; foreigner: xenophobia. 2. Strange; foreign; different: xenolith. morph Pronunciation Key (môrf) n. One of various distinct forms of an organism or species. It doesn't specifically relate to the aliens from the Alien series, just means aliens in general. Pretty sure the Marines in ALIENS used the word before even encountering the bugs. I guess you're not a fan of aliens or a good general scifi fan because the Alien IS called THE Xenomorph. I believe the corporation calls it that.

Great Moments in Science Fiction

Wow, that's amazing. He figured out how to do gradients in paint when I've been doing them painstakingly manually this whole time resulting in big blocks of color (I use line tool in different colors and then I use the fill tool, then I draw everything on top of it). -
it just me or robot chicken not funny...
ComicKaze replied to NERV's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Robot Chicken isn't funny. The insane cuts and all the short clips are just people smacking each other around and there is no creativity in it at all. AND YOU KNOW WHY??? It's because they aren't spending the time and effort to write good sequences as was done on "Sweet J Presents". Many RC fans know that Seth Green's first stop-motion toy animation project was Sweet J Presents which is 100x superior to Robot Chicken. In fact, if you go back and watch Sweet J, you'll see that all the good sequences in Robot Chicken are recycled storylines from Sweet J. Sweet J had awesome episodes that were just long narratives. You have an entire episode about the Justice League living in a reality TV show apartment for an entire episode...or you have an entire episode about "The Bible - EXTREME!", or the first episode which was all about Conon O'Brian going to a sci-fi convention with Seth. It was great. Robot Chicken, I don't understand why it's so jumpy all the time and lacks all creativity whatsoever! Nobody should judge Robot Chicken before seeing Sweet J Presents. That show is 100x better and had practically all the same staff so I don't understand what went wrong besides perhaps the rigours of producing a weekly series. -

So, fans of Penny Arcade...What is going on there?
ComicKaze replied to twich's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
That was beautifully done! I always thought it was done for comedic effect. As effectively demonstrated here. I don't think Tycho is taking himself seriously. And always just assumed that we shouldn't either. *shrug* -Al I just think he's a word whore and doesn't realize it Because if you're doing it for comedy, you really should go all out, but he holds back and sticks some regular words to try to pretend he'sstill on the same planet and level with everyone else everynow and then. When I read it, I find zero comedy and just a lot of frustration because I've experienced it myself and have met people in real life that do just this and thing they're all cool and everything but don't realize just how silly they sound. I have to admit, his grammar comics are hilarious and his uses his words well in them, but the newsposts just don't work and I don't think it's intentional.
