Yeah, as I understand it, everything about her is artificial except for her brain, which in the manga was modified(?) but not replaced. I would like to infer that for the movie as well, except for Ido stating about her 'very human brain,' which would imply that it was not. But who knows? He may have been simply implying that her brain still at least organic even if nothing else was. As for how long she was in there... (shrug) Depending on how long her brain could last without sustenance, and being modified it could have lasted for a long, long time, she may have been in the scrap pile for three hundred years. Yes, she was found near the top but we can see the cranes that fish through and redistribute the pile around, and assume that she was stirred up from the bottom.

I do hope it gets a sequel. If not that then I would love for Netflix or Amazon to pick it up. Not for gore, but I just want to see Alita's story continue.

Saw this today, and I think it is a great movie. For me, it didn't feel rushed at all or jumbled in the least. In fact, I wouldn't have minded it if they had added an extra twenty or thirty minutes to the run time. My bladder may have complained, but not me! It came across as very direct and yes, fast-paced. The CG is outstanding, especially for Akira. Despite it all being computer work, Rose Salazar played right through it, and those big beautiful eyes were just so very expressive! But despite all the CGI and cyborg fights, I feel that this is a love story at its heart, and that is romantically with Hugo and paternally with Ido. Both were very well done, though I feel the Akira/Ido dynamic came out the better of the two. In the end, I was left wanting more, which is always a great thing. Basically, I want a sequel! So, anyone not sure or dragging feet, don't! Go see it, for me at least, cause I want to see more! And I will see more, as I am seeing this again!

I wonder if that F-14 might be for flashback scenes? Maybe Mav has to get over some trauma that happened a decade or so earlier, and now he's just getting back into the hot seat. As for flying F-14s, it's a shame we can't buy back the ones from Iran and get them flying the airshow circuit.

I'm all for building it in flight. At the center is one tiny aircraft that everything else was bolted onto.

Loving the instrumentals! A nice progression from the previous version. I also like seeing how the characters have 'grown' and I certainly don't mind another adventure, esp if the sisters are together on this one.

According to HLJ, there is only enough plastic for one plane, but with decals for either. So it's a good bet it'll be molded in good old white plastics like the original release.

Hmm. I wasn't wowed by this one. It was only thirty seconds, so they couldn't do much, but I think showing a little more of her personal interactions would have been better than simply repeating Higher, Further, Faster over and over. Oh well.

It's a thirty second spot, not a full trailer. For what it was, there was a lot more energy building up in this than in the first trailer. We also got glimpses of the world after the Snap, from ships clustered around Ellis Island which I imagine are abandoned ships, and cars just left in the stadium lot where their owners left them. And Steve was looking pissed! Looked like some kind of help group. Also a nice shot of Stark and Nebula working up a storm on the Milano. Can't wait for the next trailer!
