    They had six episodes, which was more then enough time to do a good story, without the needless side-quests that added nothing to the overall plot. I did like it up until about episode 4. As usual, their character interactions were great as they are truly at their dysfunctional best. But then... A lot of potential, but this is like the runner just about to win the marathon, and tripping over his own feet.

    Which just goes to show that when you try to make the good guys just like normal folk, rather than living up to their ideals, you make them the enemy. I am sick of 'gritty' heroes.

    Her fight was the best part of the show! As for forgettable versus memorable, the bar was set pretty low.

    No surprise. A rather uncompelling tale, with the only real standout being killed off, Jecki (along with most of the rest of the cast.) I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you are going to do the High Republic era, do it in the beginning, not the end.

    Expositions done right are more than acceptable, especially if they further the story in a way that works into the mystery, in a good way. Obi-wan talking up Luke's dad as a hero while still telling his family history, from a certain point of view, was good exposition. It told one side of his father, hid the other Dark side, and worked to further the story by telling both a truth and a lie at the same time.

    If they do a Macross-themed crustacean, I wonder if it would be close enough to mistake for a Vajra?

    And for the rough stuff! It looks bad now, but it can only get better. I have since taken the housing off of the hull and, after dousing it with super glue to fill gap and help solidify things, I'll start sanding the roughness out and the smoothness in! Thom

    Starting the rear shroud. I need to leave a gap in the middle for the bay doors, so I cut two walls to frame that and to give a basic shape to the rear. Those were glued on. And after some error and trial, I got some curved sections to help shape out the sides. Despite how much I curled them, they were still pulling up from the hull, so they were superglued down the scotch tape that had been laid down just for that purpose. Now they won't flex when I starts skinning them. More updates to follow. Thom

    Lots of cool models on the table there @sketchley! I would love to do a YF-24 in 1/72. Nice looking mods tot he Macross @nonner242.

    First, I laid down some tape to keep from prematurely gluing it to the hull. Then I started roughing out individual panels on thin cardboard before transferring those shapes to blank styrene. Still a little rough, but once I start sanding it'll smooth out. Before that though, I need to do the rear shroud. Thom

    Mine was that Deadpool is fun, and that easily overcomes fatigue. Kraven just looks like a retread of all the superhero-tropes, whereas Deadpool literally breaks all the walls along a wild ride that breaks expectations.

    Me neither. No interest in Joker/Panguin, et al, unless they are being chased by the Bat. . Yeah, but that's Deadpool and this is... Kraven... A guy who gets bit by a tiger and gains super powers, like Spiderman, just not as cool... And, of course, there is another superpowered enemy for him to fight, this time Rhinoman! (I guess that's his name, I don't know.) Heck, even if this was another Spiderman movie, I wouldn't really be all that tempted anymore. Yes, you can tell the same basic story a hundred different way, but pumping them all out within a few years was, though fun, a bit excessive. I can see doing a trilogy of movies and then relaxing for a few years to let the audience recuperate, but, esp with comics, there are so many character tie-ins, and the urge to hit while the iron is hot and while the casts still look young enough to fit the roles (and the costumes,) that that momentum drives it more. And money. Grab the money while the people are spending. If they were smart they would do it in 'spurts.' Make two or three movies and then let it rest, rather than the cash-grab of the last few decdes.

    I know most would as well, but I wouldn't use Tamiya panel line without a good, solid clear coat under it. That being said, Flory's is great stuff!

    She also played Lyra Silvertongue on Max's 'His Dark Materials' series. And very well at that, IMO.

    The characters have to start from someplace, and being a kid show, the 'suburbs' (basically any area around the outskirts of a city and we know those exist in the SW Universe) is a nice and safe looking place to start. It's another thing like the Goonies, where we start in a peaceful town before tossing the kids on a dangerous adventure, or ET, or even Poltergeist, though in that they didn't have to go anywhere for things to get freaky.

    Looks good. A live action remake of a cartoon original should try to emulate it's look and feel rather than try and be too different. Looking at you Mulan...

    Prodigy was a good show, so if they can do this at the same level, I'll be happy. As to the 'suburbs', why wouldn't there be some on some planet in the vast universe? As said above, we've seen the real ugly parts, now let's see the parts that are symbolic of everyday Republic-life. I got no problem with it. And as to this being a 'kid show,' really, so was ET. Not to say that I'm expecting ET, but it would be nice.

    Haven't seen the trailer yet, but is this is a mix of Star Wars and Goonies - then AWESOME!!!
