  1. I've been spending some time on that site as well. Like you said I'm not sure about the Qosmio's looks and like I said earlier the 1600x900 resolution bothers me also, even though it "shouldn't." The 3D units have a higher resolution but they're in the $2K range...
  2. Yeah they are Pro-car seats. I............will say that once you're in that particular seat, the Procar Rally 1000/1100 is absolutely supportive. I haven't had the chance to try it out yet but I'm sure if I try to put the G's into the Charger the seat will keep me put-a far cry from the "bucket" seats that originally came with the car which were flatter than the desert on all surfaces. Because the bolsters on this seat are so pronounced getting into the car requires brushing up and over the humps. There is no adjustable lumbar support. There is no height adjustment either. The most I've driven the car is about an hour both ways and I felt very comfortable and secure in the seat. The vinyl seating surfaces themselves are soft enough and do not feel cheap. Ultimately only time will tell how this seat will hold up. More experienced asses will know they are sitting in a $400 Pro-car seat and not a $1100 Recaro or whatever, but for the money I am extremely satisfied with what I purchased-and they look great IMO. Another added bonus for me is that these seats match the dimensions of the original seats of the car right down to the inch so it looks stock-ish. Pro-car sells adapter brackets to bolt the seat into the car, but experiences from other buyers including myself have shown that they needed some modifications to fit, such as extra bolt holes drilled into the floor, etc. What car are you considering these seats for?
  3. OUCH. I want to laugh but I probably would've done the same thing lol. Talk about a glass jaw, though-he couldn't have hit that concrete with THAT much force right?
  4. Lol I hate you. I don't even have one Space Cruiser Yamato. Cool shot with two classic space ships though...
  5. I see. Well looks like they were clamoring for an encore but didn't get it, lol...
  6. WOW nice. Those are some really beautiful examples and personally I prefer the fastbacks also. I especially like the newer SVT wheels on the orange one...
  7. That's true, it did; more than once if I can recall...
  8. Yeah, you wouldn't want to be running your pride and joy in one of those things. As such, unless it's solo auto-X there's no way I could get into it. Even then, the cost of brakes, tires, and everything else just to be a qualified auto-X'er would be too much...
  9. So, am I justified in screaming out "Bring back Toby" during trailer screenings in movie theaters?
  10. Not a fan of the Toshiba laptops? Just curious because I'm still sniffing around...
  11. Yup. I consider it to be one of their highly honed survival traits-being able to grow to a fully capable organism in a short amount of time. The only time Xeno's have had to eat is in the AvP games which are obviously non-canon...
  12. If these things were only a little cheaper to import. Guess I'll be waiting around like Keith for a proper US distribution...
  13. Cool, let's see them! I was planning on getting my Mustang set up for that but it's just too expensive for me...
  14. Love 'Eva but...what the heck was going on?
  15. Yeah, yeah, Iscandar, that place. It's been awhile since I've seen the series. Well, they didn't have much of a choice about the single woman thing considering she was the only girl on the ship, lol...
  16. Cool deal. I could never understand why they never had more girls on the crew back in the day. Remember the episode in the original series when deserters/mutineers ran off to some random planet and kidnapped Yuki for fun and games? Well they can at least liven up the party with the new talent...
  17. Charger's back from vacation! Well, actually I sprung the car out of body shop limbo like them good 'ol Duke boys would but anyway... Before, with about a dozen rust holes and two decades worth of door dings: Today, perfectly flawed but the love of my life:
  18. I can see Dave's point of view, but then I would say that they didn't do nearly enough to establish the conviction of the Prometheus' crew to prevent those horrors from reaching Earth. They attempted to do so with Shaw and the Captain's scene in her room but that was SO weak. Finally, what the hell kind of ship wanders out into the middle of nowhere with NO weapons of any sort? I realize it's a science vessel but c'mon-we're talking Weyland Corporation here; those mother f'ers think of everything 100 steps in advance...
  19. That IS nice. Guess we'll just have to see these girls in action to see just how great they are. To anyone that's seen the episodes, do any of these girls have any screen time? Asides from Yuki/Nova?
  20. I agree with everything you posted, especially the parts about the white snakes and the 'Xeno at the end. The film leaves you with more questions than answers, and...I get that it's supposed to be like that but I still think it's unsatisfactory. But again let me say this, I liked the movie and will definitely be blu-raying this thing. Now, I'm just as confusing as the movie...
  21. Check out the wave motion guns on the medic...
  22. This probably sums it up best. To my non sci-fi friends I had to try and explain why characters did the thing they did (which is never a good thing). Another example of random creature action that I still can't explain are the white snake-like things that attacked the two scientists and then just disappeared. Finally, I will always think that the 'Xeno appearance at the end was both unnecessary and unfaithful to the "this isn't an Alien prequel" statements that Ridley Scott had said...
