    I feel the same way about Skyfall and 'Casino. Maybe I need to see Skyfall again, but I might say I was underwhelmed by the whole thing. Other than that I agree with idea of 'Casino and 'Golden being the better regarded Bond movies. I've never seen Goldfinger or the Majesty's Service (or whatever it's called) as I'm definitely not a fan of old-school Bond, but I'll definitely take a look...

    The underestimation of the Cosmo Navy is something I really never considered when trying to question the idea of one small ship accomplishing so much; if that concept was touched on in the original series I totally missed it; then again, I was like 6 years old and watching "Star Blazers". In 2199 however, I feel that the over-confidence of the Gamilas will be a major part of their downfall in the story. But yes, I want to see that ship f*ked up............well, I mean to some degree anyway...

    Yup. Ever since I took up shooting I can't watch any indoor gun scenes in movies or whatever and not roll my eyes at it...

    Yeah, the always-frown that Michonne wears is so badly done that it's almost comical. And yes, ninja/samurai roaming the apocalypse just seems odd; not saying that it wouldn't happen because at that point anything's possible, but on t.v. it's just weird and I know I'm not watching Ninja Scroll...

    Well on the bright side it saves me a lot in electric bills, and I don't have to worry about neighbors complaining about the sound system anymore!

    That's a nightmare, to be sure. I wouldn't make a move towards getting your $50 back until they've fixed your issues. I hope they do fix it right. What Toshiba product do you have? My X505-898 has been exemplary so far...

    Doesn't bother me, because I can clearly see that George Lucas did not have episodes 1-6 thought out in advance as he'd have everyone believe. Additionally, it's fun to torment SW fanbois by pointing out mega plot holes, inconsistencies and just sloppy storytelling. I have to give credit where it's due though; Hayden chopped off Samuel's hand, and any time someone chops off Samuel Jackson's body parts it's a winning thing, in my book...

    I was refering more to production values and style, not the actual equipment in the story. Blood and Chrome "looks" and "feels" newer than the BSG that spawned it but, like Azrael says, it's because of our advancing cinematic technology...

    Tell me about it! They showed that Viper Squadron landing sequence EVERY EPISODE; you know, the one that had the one Viper bouncing as it hit the deck. Anyway, it's 5am and my head hurts-how, when does this thing air/stream?

    Lol, yeah I love how the further we go back in any sci-fi series: Star Wars, Star Trek, BSG, etc, the better everything looks. It was great seeing the Galactica again though, and I missed hearing the audio report of the Dradis...

    I grew up loving all forms of 'Trek up until "Enterprise" but by then the franchise had gotten very stale. The new 'Trek isn't what I'm used to or fell in love with but it's breathing new life into the franchise and you have to give it credit for that much. Will this new interpretation have the staying power that Shatner, Stewart and the rest of the Tribble pack ruled with? Maybe, probably, but I'm personally enjoying it...

    Finally, someone else agrees with me on that; I've never understood the worship over those particular versions of Bond. To me, they were about as awe-inspiring as Austin Powers. As for Skyfall, I'm glad to hear it's a direct sequel to the first two films...

    Finally had a chance to watch the current episodes and I'm in love with it, just like I knew I would be. My only gripe is, just like the new 'EVA movies, the story's condensed and feels rushed, but I realize that this project will have less episodes with higher quality than what I grew up with, so I'm not complaining. Additionally the girls, especially Yuki, are beautifully rendered. I just might have to break my no-overpriced-anime-statue doctrine and buy her figure when it comes out...
