  1. So it's what-$60? Shipping's probably another $15 or so. Hmm...Well, it's better than the prices on ebay but like others here I can only hope a stateside release becomes a reality...
  2. What the hell? What about the other volumes?
  3. Wow really? Is Yuki one of the hottest figures to hit the market recently or what? Edit: Gotta give thanks again to MW member Major Focker for letting me know that HLJ got a restock on her a few weeks ago that sold out in minutes; I've got my Yuki!
  4. I'm sure Initial D has quite a few offerings for you. I only have one 1:24 scale AE-86 Panda, Tak's first car, but it's pretty cool...
  5. GOOD. I would love to be wrong about the matter. Christ man, that's the most intense preview yet. Lol. I remember in the original when the drill missile appeared in front of the Yamato, they panned over and zoomed in on Yuki who was on her knees and just flabbergasted by the appearance of the drill missile-gotta love the phalic stuff...
  6. Lol, to each their own but Excelsior was hideous. Galaxy class all the way!
  7. I'm hoping for that too, but I think someone here said it wasn't likely to happen...
  8. Agreed. In this movie Kirk doesn't learn a damn thing about the burdens and responsibilities of everyone's lives under his command, because he sacrifices himself instead of having to finally deal with death in the form of his best friend. Quinto's "Khan" just sucked. His voice cracked and wavered as he yelled, and I just don't like a Spock that's more emotional than his........"girlfriend." I want to see how they're going to deal with the miracle blood-thing; like someone has said earlier, no one ever has to die in their stories again...
  9. It is a fun little car, and like the Cobalt SS and other cars like it, it will take on established performance cars like Mustangs and Camaros and give them a surprising run...
  10. Wouldn't that make them Misato's melons?
  11. Yes she was, too bad we didn't see any more of her. And, no disrespect intended but what the hell was up with the 'Ops officer though? Lol, good point. Maybe Robocop was hoping that once the Enterprise was stranded in Klingon space they would've been destroyed before they had a chance to see the torpedoes were altered. Sorta' reminded me of the scene in ROTS when Anakin walked in on Palpatine while he was studying blueprints of the Death Star...
  12. I can't say I agree about Monica being a "new" character. Her appearance in Fast 5 was just long enough to introduce the Lety angle; why go through the trouble of bringing back Eva Mendez if they were merely going to introduce a "new" character? Bringing back the same actress says to me they're bringing back Monica Fuentes from '2 Fast. I wrote off Brian's return as a law-man as either bad story telling, or a defining feature of his character, in that he's a man of honor and continues to be a law-man because law enforcement allows him to deal out honor and justice as he sees fit. One of the many themes that this series heavy-handedlty feeds its audience is honor, duty, obligation, etc. In all reality, it's probably just bad story telling, and I regard the Tej's garage continuity error the same way. Edit: Actually, I'll attribute the continuity issue to something else: they didn't know they were going to do any movies after '2 Fast so that's why that movie ended the way it did. When they decided to pick up the franchise again, they just said to hell with it, continuity issues be damned, so in that regard '2 Fast would be just an anomaly; these movies are largely disposable anyway. Thanks for the youtube links btw. My complaints aside I still love this franchise. Hell maybe I'll do up my Charger like the Day-clona they used in Fast 6...
  13. I agree with you on the CGI bit; as soon as they started that crap in '2 Fast the series left a bad taste in my mouth. For me, the "special effect" of blocking out the machine that allowed Dominick's Charger to do a wheel stand in the first movie was already too much for me. It's funny, but when Fast and Furious, movie #4 came out, they said to "forget" about 2 Fast 2 Furious because it was lowly regarded but then they came out with Fast 5, which brought up more questions about continuity by bringing back Tyrese Gibson and Eva Mendez. Also, are you sure about the amount of CGI in Fast 6? I'm pretty sure that opening race with Vin and Paul, the race between the Day-clona and Michelle, obviously the plane sequence and even the first chase sequence were mostly done by CGI. If I'm wrong I pre-emptively stand corrected...
  14. Depends on how much you love that particular figure. If funds are an issue I would avoid variants so I could keep my collection diversified. BUT, if your mouth waters at the mere thought of a particular girl and her figure then give in to the lust and get the variant. I "sort of" felt the same way about that one Mai Shiranui statue from Max Factory; the standard red Mai is the woman of my dreams, but having her again in a black or blue was almost too impossible to resist...
  15. Spoilers? Truly disappointed with this movie, which was supposed to be the last in the franchise. I appreciate that they had plenty of tie-ins from previous Fast movies; bringing back old characters that helped to create a story that spans the entire timeline of the series. However, the defiantly ridiculous stunt/action scenes and far too many implausible plot points just wrecked this film. Obviously, this story and others like it aren't Hamlet or Othello, but we have to draw the line somewhere. What I liked: *I absolutely love how this series started with a Dodge Charger, and ended with a Dodge Charger, one of the greatest cars ever built. *Liked how they tastefully handled the "two girls, one Vin Diesel" dilemma at the end. *The inclusion of past characters and other touches that verifies story continuity, as well as the emphasis of a group of people learning to call one another family. What I hated: *Despised the ridiculous stunt/action scenes that were too much for even THIS series. The original movie was great in that there was little to no CGI car-action; most of the races, crashes, etc were done with real cars and real drivers. *Secondly, they had said this was the last film but apparently they've left room to dilute what little good this series has to offer. *Finally, I absolutely HATE the introduction of this new character, the actor of which has been in the most brain-dead and ridiculous movies of all time. If you thought the 'Fast series was devoid of redemption the addition of "this guy" just damns the franchise altogether. Seeing my Fast & Furious shirt on the night of the premiere I was asked many times which movies were my favorite ones. If I had to rank them I'd have to say this: #1, #4, #3, #5, #2, #6, or The Fast and the Furious, Fast and Furious, Tokyo Drift, Fast 5, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Fast 6...
  16. Didn't even know about that-thanks for the heads up. On another note, anyone else here think that the mother of the sick child in the beginning of the movie, Nanzeen Contracter, was the hottest girl in the whole film? I thought she was adorable in 24 but now she's a little older and sexier; the boob-job certainly helped too...
  17. I went and saw this Friday. Good summertime action flick. Didn't think it was quite as good as the first, but a solid entry. I give it a B-. Benebict Mr. Badguy whatever his name is, is freakin awesome as is Peter Weller!
  18. ^^^That's a hot score man. The guy who didn't like the price probably doesn't like girls or something...
