  1. Eh, when kids these days have movies like "Spring Breakers" as brain fodder it's usually ME that's taken for a surprise or two...
  2. Yeah that about sums it up. They're not concerned about the aftermath, just getting us into the theater in the first place; they also know we'll keep coming back for more, regardless of how much we complain...
  3. I get the feeling that show might go the way of the Kramer show from Seinfield...
  4. Right about that. Ah well. At least the new BSG gives us plenty of fleet porn...
  5. ^^^Well, what can I say, lol. I could've gone for the figure if she was toned, fit, maybe even SLIGHTLY muscular (Powergirl?), but the way she is now she looks like she belongs in a rap video "shaking her money maker" or something, I dunno...
  6. All true. I just may have to turn my copy of 'Darkness into a table coaster like Redline...
  7. I could understand that in a television series, especially like TNG where money and time were as tight as Counselor Troi's outfits, but in a movie there's no reason why they couldn't have had just a coupla' ships loitering around. I mean, they had them just 30 minutes ago-where did they all go to?
  8. We brought that up earlier in this thread, and JJ's 'Trek is guilty of the "absent Starfleet" in the first movie as well. In the beginning of the first movie there are ships and spacedocks all over the place, but later in the movie and most notably in the second one it seems like the Enterprise is the only ship in the whole fleet...
  9. As did I, considering I haven't seen or heard of any toys for that ship yet. It's just a movie man, it won't kill you to try and watch it. Well, in your case you're sorting out much more than just a bunch of boxes. Hang in there. I'm not a fan of the forced raunchiness/borderline toilet humor but it's 'Trek for the Instagram/Facebook generation we're talking about...
  10. My initial impression based on the trailer is that they didn't dehumanize Frank enough. In the original, Frank Murphy was little more than a machine with faint remnants of humanity that would surface from time to time; you'd see this manifest itself in inexplicable flashbacks and "malfunctions" as his broken humanity tried to surface. It's also clear to the audience that Frank Murphy will never be able to return to his loved ones again. I don't know about you guys but I found that very sad and worthy of a few tears. In the trailer for the new movie, Frank Murphy just seems like an angrier, meaner, metallic version of himself; he even gets to talk to his kid? If the new Frank Murphy really is just an angrier, meaner, metallic version of himself I'll have to say "thanks but no thanks-I already own the Iron Man movie trilogy, and at least they have Gwyneth Paltrow and waaaaaay better special effects..."
  11. I get the whole "post-apocalyptic death metal car with just the parts we found" motif, but the new movie is trying too hard. Then again, it's just my take on the designs. My main concern is the story itself and how the actors carry it; like someone mentioned above, I don't want this movie to be a parady, a farce of the originals...
  12. I still can't believe that Walt fell for Hank's plan, I mean c'mon now...
  13. She really isn't that great of a figure, IMO. I might jump on that long haired version if I can, though...
  14. Asides from being HIDEOUS they don't make sense. A monster truck with speakers? Is that like an homage to Macross 7? Listen to my song, or some stuff?
  15. ^^^ Lol yeah, I was like what-did the person in charge of firearms training have a sick day or something?
  16. Lol I didn't know there was a Talking Bad. Gotta love AMC...
  17. Hank's a dork. I know he's sort of going rogue chasing after Walt and doesn't have a lot of support, but heading out into the middle of nowhere with no man or firepower, chasing one of the most dangerous criminals in his career is foolish. I don't see how they're going to get out of this one...
  18. Jesus, well that took me by surprise; I didn't think her pre-order would sell out. I'm having trouble finding her as well...
  19. Agreed. I was on my way to buy it when I had the sudden urge to check MW for any 'info on it. If it hadn't been for this thread I would've bought myself this "clip show," based on how HG was hyping this thing...
  20. No speed driving here, but I want to thank you guys for inspiring me to finally get new wheels and tires after 19 years of running around with those ghastly 15" wheels and 60 series bubble tires. Yesterday: [ Today:
  21. GOOD LORD that's the Yamamoto I've been salivating about-one with long hair! Too bad it's on the color-variant, as I'd love the original release version with longer hair...
  22. Wierd move. Are they doing a re-color of Yuki also?
