  1. ^^^I'll say it; that's pretty damn cute...
  2. What if someone gave you the choice of one or the other, with no cost to you if you picked the '64?
  3. Wow really? I had forgotten that this '2199 version was supposed to be that accurate in design. In that case, I'm relieved that I never bothered with the previous versions of the Yamato. As for the light-up hangar bay, I'm sure a little bit of customizing, that's not too far out of some enthusiast's skills, will take care of that lacking feature. I just might have to keep this ship after all...
  4. Great video, man. I was certain that you were going to break him when you were trying to pull off his right arm, lol. In other news, I finally got and unboxed my GX-64. I love the sculpt, color, detail and the sound effects. I don't like how you have to physically turn the ship "on" after two minutes of inactivity, but oh well. Another thing that worries me about this piece is how fragile it is; this is NOT something you're going to be whooshing around in your mom's basement. Many people are griping about the styling of the wave gun/bow end, but the narrowed look makes it loyal to the '2199 reboot, and now the Yamato truly looks like it was a sea-faring battleship at one point in history. I really like the piece, and I'm curious how it stacks up to the classic GX-57, but I find myslef asking, "did I really just pay almost $300 for this?" Now I remember why I got out of toy collecting. Ah well; at least I finally have a solid Space Cruiser Yamato toy (display piece)...
  5. Good Lord, lol...
  6. Corny at times, but I always liked the Bruce Lee vs Chuck Norris fight in Way/Return of the Dragon...
  7. Just what you like and don't about it. I sort of feel "obligated" to keep the '64 because I don't have any of the other Yamato toys, but this thing is still about $300 or so, and at that price it better be impressive. It seems that early buyers of the '64 are just "meh" about it...
  8. Talk about a face and a body that could launch a thousand ships...
  9. Lemme know what you think of the '64. Your impressions of it may or may not convince me to sell mine that's still en route to me...
  10. And clearly lacking in taste. I will agree though, nice artwork. SHOOOOM!
  11. Yup, it was all over her face and with that "I gotta have a drink" nonsense. Silly girls, trix are for rabbits...
  12. I don't know about you guys, but my laptop has about an hour and a half before it dies; the power BRICK and the cord are never too far from me...
  13. Wow, that is epic...
  14. Lol, Metal Slug, I like that one. Those three new characters are the most inept additions they've made so far. Don't get me wrong, I love girls with as little clothing as possible but the one looking like she just stepped out of a Machete movie looks like she's there just for that: looks. In a world where murder, savagery and rape are the standards of every day I'm almost certain that a woman wouldn't be parading around as she was doing so. The scientist guy had nothing noteworthy to contribute, although that may be a plot point to be revealed in the future, but the Sargeant proved to be the most erroneous character of all; he was so gung ho about "going to DC" or wherever, to the point of almost beating Glen to death, but five minutes later he's trailing behind everyone else, trying to find someone who he is convinced is dead anyway? Maybe I just don't understand where these characters are going or what their intentions are, but like Exo's Metal Gear reference, I've got "?" over my head. Meanwhile, leaving Rick behind to sleep in an unsecured house was asinine; OF COURSE roving bands of people with various possible intentions could happen upon him as he lay defenseless. It doesn't take an AMC writer to figure that one out...
  15. Such a boring, plodding, uninspiring and lifeless movie that had only brief punctuations of action to break up the tear-inducing monotony. The original movie was a dystopian yet tongue-in-cheek story with tradgedy, humor and enough action to keep things moving. Did the remake even have a readily discernible villain? A hero movie like "Robocop" should have at least one, but this time it was just a bunch of nameless robots and some guys fresh from the set of Sons of Anarchy. Again, some things are better left alone, especially if it's from the 80's...
  16. I think it's time Glen traded in Maggie for the newer model (Tara); she's younger, smaller, cuter and has better hug bumpers. I'm wondering if they're going to have a love-triangle thing going on with those three...
  17. Carl is a douche nozzle but I agree with his rant 100%...
  18. ^^^Ugh, couldn't they get a better facial sculpt of Beckinsdale? Otherwise I'd be all over that one...
  19. So 'Hunter quit teasing us man, what games are you running? How does it measure up?
  20. ^^^Only thing worth watching during the Super Bowl; I just hope it doesn't turn out like Redline...
  21. Cool deal, thanks. I'll probably jump on this when a few more reviews come in...
  22. Anyone buying into Mania-King? Galvatron's one of my favorite characters of any franchise and I'm really interested about this product...
  23. I feel your pain; I crossed that path many years ago. I've been living vicariously through you guys and this thread, but at some point things change for everyone. These days I just buy once in a while. Latest one I picked up is the newest Psylocke Bishouju, and it'll be the last for a while...
