  1. That's a beautiful child-congratulations...
  2. PRE-ORDERED...
  3. The special effects are irrelevant to me; it's the fantasy of the story I find compelling. How many of us here have fantasized about being picked out of our mundane lives and chosen to wage an interstellar battle for the cause of good behind the stick of a Valkyrie, Gundam or whatever? For the countless daydreaming and epic space battles and satisfying love stories that The Last Starfighter inspired me to create in my dreams, I'll forever be a fan...
  4. Thanks for the tip, I'm going to buy it now...
  5. Not worth the savings IMO. I mean, we're already spending big bucks on girls and bots, I don't see the point of skimping on the shipping...
  6. Why do you guys use SAL if it's such bad service?
  7. I'm a big fan of this series, and I have been since the beginning, however I have to say that this latest installment bored me to tears. Now, I'm not into gonzo fight extravaganzas, and I don't care about Rhonda Rousey, UFC, Dwayne Johnson, fake-wrestling or glorific Hollywood gun battles and Michael Bay sized explosions which, unfortunately, seems to be the focus of this movie as opposed to the cars and the street racing culture/fantasy that gave birth to the franchise. I mean where were the cars? Sure, there were the token car chases and the gimmicky off-road nonsense, but the spirit of the movie, the cars, were more like an afterthought. I found myself hoping that a score of Ricers would show up with fart cans, neon paint jobs and under-car lighting just to crash the quasi-global terrorist plot nonsense and "steer" the movie back onto the path of making a movie about.......CARS and the Fast & the Furious, instead of an Expendables rip-off replete with lame one-liners and tough guy faces galore. Just like everyone else though, I absolutely LOVED the Mopar presence in the movie. Anyone who says Fast & the Furious is about fart cans and Ricers clearly isn't paying attention. The tribute to Paul towards the end of the movie was well done. I wish they had replicated the first Charger and Supra that Dominic and Brian faced off with in the original movie, but I get that the white Supra and the silver Charger were done to say farewell to Paul Walker; I loved how the Supra goes left and drives off into the horizon and into the beyond. In any case, I'm glad that some of you enjoyed the movie. If anyone asks me, I'll keep with my original recommendations of which ones to watch: parts one, four and three, and in that order. IMO they had the proper mix of car action and the loose semblance of a plot/story...
  8. ^^^^At this point she'd better be wearing nothing but her sidearm and holster. Well my favorite space-ditz Yurisha showed up. Anyone else get her also?
  9. True, they havent done a good job of building up the Wolf pack people, if there's even anything to build up. I think the saddest thing about that episode is Morgan finally finding Rick, but then also finding that Rick has/is changing from the man that got him out of that isolationist funk...
  10. I was wondering where you were boss, I thought maybe you'd abandoned us lol...
  11. I agree with the above statement. Show Mad Max to the typical movie watcher of today, and they'll generally agree that the original Mad Max movies are very plain, uneventful and generally boring. A new chapter driven on story alone won't cut it in this day and age. Personally, being in my 30's, the desolation, danger, hopelessness and evil in a post apocalyptic world with only ghosts of its former machine and consumer based lifestyle is fascinating to me. A movie will have to be very loud and bright in order to distract the instagram/selfie generation from their phones; this latest installment looks to do just that, if only for a few minutes at a time...
  12. Bah. It was a fantastically imagined movie and I'm going to enjoy all of its wonderfully flawed bits on blu ray, time and time again...
  13. I can't believe how relatively uneventful the finale was; I expected a lot of "gasp" moments that would have me stewing for the next 7 months or so...
  14. What's with this Book of Eli crap?
  15. Twin Peaks. I hope they resolve the Dale Cooper/Black Lodge situation...
  16. Very cute, but the lack of nudity/cast off is a bit of a disappointment. Still, at that price I think she'd be a good addition...
  17. I'm Koo-koo for Yuki but with all of her different figures I can't shake the feeling that her face is wrong or off on all of them, somehow. That bikini version has a fabulous body but it just doesn't strike me as being an accurate "Yuki..."
  18. SHE WILL BE MINEWell....I'll wager the cast off portion only involves the lower dress, if they remain faithful to the anime...
  19. Bio-digital JAZZ man!!!
