The new sculpt is better but it really doesn't honor the impossibly sleek profile of the "real" thing. In regards to the landing gear, aren't the wheels supposed to come out of the wings or wing roots instead of the fuselage, as it did in the anime?

Macross Plus 'pods for me. If we could include other animes, I'd like to mention Voices of a distant star, or Yukikaze....

I harbor only a slight disliking towards Macross 7, although I feel that way about all of the Macross stories as I don't particularly care for the anti-war/pacifist message that they're always preaching. War and all that goes with it is generally a good thing...

What's even nicer is watching Italian exotics dominating a track with Japanese all-star-cars. I'm not into any of the foreign stuff, but seeing a copy of "Best Motoring International" was rather entertaining. Anyone else into those dvd's?

Totally off topic but I couldn't resist-the Monster is just more beautiful, PERIOD. Paris has to be one of the most unattractive of all females that I have ever seen.

You know, I was wondering about that. I had been trying to think of what the Monster's landing gear would look like, perhaps like a multiple wheel arrangement such as on a jumbo jet, the B2 or something like that. Of course, Yamato cheaped out and didn't design any landing gear at all. The lack of attention to something as remedial as giving an aircraft landing gear is almost as inane as selling the original YF-21 without gunpods. I have loved Yamato and their efforts, but this is getting ever so slightly ridiculous...

Who cares......Just release the damn thing already...

What really sucked about that toy was the landing gear. Just retracting the rears would often result in broken landing gear...It was pretty heartbreaking for me back then, as that abomination was the closest thing to a Valkyrie I could have...

So some of us have a problem with capitalism now? First off, it's not the fault of the vendor for the lack of initiative that those collector's showed in buying their 1S's. You snooze, you lose. Secondly, what's wrong with making a profit? A low supply creating a high demand and then finally an opportunity to make a good profit (for both Tisinc AND Yamato) is what modern economics is all about folks... Jesus, this ain't a charity drive. Should these 1S's be given away then?

I personally felt more inclined to care about the story and characters in the first MGS, but as far as my opinion goes #2 just gave us the same end-of-the-world-story that was made more "complex" to keep pace with the obvious technological advancement in gameplay, graphics, etc.

What? You can't pilot an Alpha? Oh no. One of the main attractions in the Macross-Mospeada/Robotech worlds is the fantasy of taking flight in a fully transformable Valkyrie/Veritech. To be stuck on the ground in a Cyclone for the duration of the game is, to put it lightly, one of the most droll and ridiculous ideas I have ever heard of. Say what you will about Battlecry, but being able to buzz around and shift on the fly while duking it out with other mecha with missiles flying everywhere is more fun than anyone here is willing to admit that they had...
