  1. Maybe it's even more sinister than that. Knowing that 'Evo or other Mitsu' brand "performance" owners would probably be running their cars hard, combined with Mistu's reluctance to honor warranty agreements, I would say that Mitsu's got themselves quite a cash cow here..
  2. YF-21.....The idea of not having to lift a finger to maneuver that beautiful ship is unbeatable...
  3. That's great, although I've heard plenty of horror stories about warranty situations such as yours; even situations where modifications that had nothing to do with the failed system on the vehicle were attributed to the failure... The whole idea of providing a warranty, or conversely, denying warranty coverage for a "performance" vehicle is ridiculous though. What do they think is going to happen to their "high performance" vehicle when it hits the streets? I suppose then the public should buy high performance vehicles, then store them in a garage or relegate them to grocery shopping, or something...
  4. Sounds to me like the warranty should cover the expense of repairs-it's not as if they could prove that you were treating the car in any way other than the manufacturer intended..........which would be racing?
  5. My avatars are leftover weapons from the days when innocent Forum members were terrorized by horrible "Lebatars" that assaulted our heterosexual mindsets. Now, they serve no other purpose other than to bounce indefinitely...
  6. Cool stuff...I was heavily into that until I crashed my SIG Kadet Jr. a few years back.... Cool video also, but lose the "Danger Zone" track....LOL
  7. Nah, can't think of any good ones...
  8. So were you running it hard, or something?
  9. Ah yes, the price of gas. At $2.95 a gallon the pleasurable drive to work is starting to lose it's luster. I try to look at it this way though: the cars are a passion, passion being something I feel nothing else for in life, so even if $3.00 or higher becomes the price for enjoying myself then so be it-it's a price well worth paying...The exhaust kits for the Z28 and the GT might have to wait, though...
  10. Limited or not, just be sure to buy at least one of 'em...
  11. Nothing glamourous, to be sure. I got these cars through lots of good 'ol fashioned hard, hourly employee work. My first car was the 'Charger-back in '94 a bunch of us from high school slaved away at a McDonald's. They all bought into the booming import scene, while I happened to catch a late night showing of "Bullit" and decided that was how I wanted to go. In '98, after driving around in an older car for 4 years and being the laughing stock of the dominating import scene in San Diego I just got sick of it and convinced my mom to co-sign a loan for my then-new Mustang. Six months after that, my mom died and I freaked out and bought the Camaro-I spent the next few years paying everyone off. I love these things more than life itself but they're not getting any younger, or cheaper to fix. It may be time to move up to something like this:
  12. Right. So when are we all getting together to frag the hell out of one another?
  13. I can imagine discussions such as this one taking place 20 some odd years ago, when the original '55s from Bandai and Takatoku were new and plentiful. I'm almost certain that questions such as these floated about when Star Wars toys initially invaded the market a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.... Chances are that modern Macross toys will appreciate in value, but it will take time... 'Low Viz, anyone?

    Futuristic Jetfire?

    Amen to that...
  15. Maybe he thought she was bad in bed? 319178[/snapback] That's just a ploy to get a girl to want you more...I'll bet anything that she was CRAZY for him...
  16. Thanks for the kind words, guys...Long ago, in a galaxy far, far away I really wanted to do the General Lee thing, but considering where I live in 'So Cal it really wouldn't be a good idea-LOL...
  17. Ah hell... It's 3am and the neighbors are freaking out but I couldn't help myself...Here's another picture of my 'Charger and my other two trouble makers: My GT My Z28 'Vert Once again, 'scuse me for the dismal picture quality, but after all I'm not Motor Trend magazine...
  18. Finally got around to buying a digital camera... Finally got around to taking some pictures.... Finally, here's one of my hunk o' junk... I'll take better pictures in the daytime obviously, but I just got back from Wal-Mart and couldn't wait to post my very first 'pic; and besides, everything looks better in the dark anyways...LOL
  19. All this talk about raping is making me feel....uneasy.... Now if I could only find my Cool Devices boxed set...
  20. No no no...The ideal female is an entry-level/lowly skilled professional who is mundane, loyal to her partner, easily impressed and persuaded, yet drop dead gorgeous and well endowed... Lucy McMillan... I mean, who the frak wants to deal with a woman that actually has a comparable intellect and ego to your own, not to mention a line of work (such as a pilot) that bears significance to the universe? Lucy McMillan...
  21. I'd actually like to see something like that. A live version of Princess Lana might prove to be entertaining...

    First time 1/48 buyer

Sounds like you're planning on just buying 1 or 2 of these things. If that is the case, I'd definitely recommend getting the 'Fodder with packs, and then maybe one of the M & M's or the 'Low Viz. As expensive as these things are, it would be better to pick up one of the aforementioned "limited edition" variants, as opposed to the other "mainstream" Valkyries such as the DYRL models for example... Go for the unique!
  23. Point Break, Fast and the Furious, Star Wars....
  24. .........I wouldn't know what a bittorrent was if it fell on me.
  25. That was enough to pique my interest...When is this thing supposed to materialize?
