Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
myk replied to Effect's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Heh. I camped out in my '69 at a local Wal Mart just to get the DVD. After all of the commotion I got it home and then discovered that I couldn't even watch more than 20 minutes of the thing. I enjoyed ROTS when it came out, but now it's just a really bad movie to me... -
I think that Kevin includes one of these things with Valkyrie purchases (?). Just goes to show how great of a vendor he is...
-
Good idea, but ultimately a man needs to have his Valkyrie like he needs his women to be-completely naked and ready for playtime...
-
Let's not forget Kevin at the 'Exchange. That guy'll cannibalize his own Variable Fighters to fix a customer's...

Soul is something that a human being ascribes and projects onto an inanimate object. Inanimate objects don't have soul unless they're Evangelions........or '69 Dodge Chargers...

1. My cars are VERY important to me. So important that my toy collecting has suffered immensely; I still don't even have the VB-6! I haven't bought a new pair of shoes since 2001... 2. My cars, a '69 Charger, '97 Z28 'Vert and '98 Mustang GT are hardly status symbols-in 'So-Cal they're seen as outdated, out of touch and hogging the roads. Personally, they are my only means of true enjoyment, and they make going from point A to point B something I can definitely, truly smile about. 3. Like anything else I buy or become involved in, I couldn't care less about what other people thought about my machines. 13 years ago, when I had to make the decision about what my first car would be, I decided that it had to be one of my own personal "dream cars," the Dodge Charger (2nd gen only!), Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro. Well, I never was able to pick just one, so I bought all of them. I love the way they look, ride, smell, taste, etc, etc, etc; I love them and there isn't a thing about them I would change, except for more power and refinement, obviously. -I just wish that I could have one damn week where one of them wasn't broken...LOL

Really? That's some self-control. 328234 I think she's smart enough to not get bent out of shape over something typed onto an internet forum-not that I'm belittling what we do here or anything, but over the last 4 years or so that I've been with this Forum and the other one I can't believe how worked up some people get over someone else's opnions... Life's too short... Let it go! Instead, go love your 'Low Vis Valkyrie....

It isn't blue at all. That's just a VF-1 in the shadows of something above it...

Yeah. The 360 is SO going to suck... You don't actually believe that, do you? All of this "versus" talk is pointless. Oh well, while people quibble and waste their lives arguing about which system is better, I'll buy each one as they're released and enjoy them all...
-
I still don't think I'm missing out on much by getting the "retard" pack of the '360. All of the connectivity trinkets that come with the Platinum system don't matter to me as going on the Live network isn't on my list of priorities. I suppose that the HD included in the Platinum system would be my reason for buying that particular package as it does cost $100 by itself...
-
Sigh...Despite what happened many moons ago, with the PS2's lack of must-have titles at launch, I went ahead and preordered a '360. I blame it on the DOA4 preview with all of those bouncing.... Anyway, I chose the Core system as I don't hold much of a value for the full system pack's online gadgetry, wireless controller or DVD remote. Should I have chosen the full package for the hard drive? What else am I going to miss out on?

Thanks for that tip about watching the news, never occured to me. Say, anyone hear this business about the WTC being obliterated along with a bunch of people? Must've been one of those nasty hurricanes. 331319 The terroist attack on Sept. 11 stirs up a lot of emotion (as it should) but I seriously hope you aren't suggesting that it justifies the rape of another person. All snarkiness aside, when I read bsu's comment the first thing I thought of was Okinawa. Maybe that's just because I live in Japan. Seriously though, if you are suggesting rape as payback, than how long until Japan is "forgiven?" Sorry again for jumping on you for this, but please reconsider what you're saying. 331350 It pains me to reply to this sub-topic as I fear that this excellent 'Galactica thread will become another political pissing contest. Call me evil if you must, but as far as I'm concerned ALL is fair in war. War is the agreed medium in which opposing political bodies agree to obliterate one another for supremacy and survival. To achieve that supremacy and survival any and all means to inflict the maximum amount of destruction and damage on the opposing side is the accepted method of war. Therefor, whether you're trying to efficiently conquer land by unleashing a weapon of mass destruction on its populace, or attempting to gain valuable information and intelligence by using rape and physical/mental torture on a female prisoner of war, there is no difference. The remaining people of the 12 colonies are at war and on the run from the Cylons-they should use ANY means possible to gain whatever advantage they can over their dominant enemy if they intend to survive. As for the Pegasus and her crew, I find no fault with the characters themselves, rather, with the way that the writers portrayed them. I find it hard to accept that most if not all of the words and sentiments of the Pegasus crew were excessively malicious and hostile towards the Galactica crew. Not having served aboard a military vessel I'm guessing that in actual navies there is a certain level of "competitiveness" between ships, however this episode featured a technologically superior ship with its high-browed Admiral leading a crew of bullies and gang rapists picking on poor old Adama and his quaint little Galactica. I guess I'm just saying that they shouldn't have been portrayed as being so "evil." I'm sure the argument could be made that they've "been through alot" and that would certainly change them, however Galactica and it's crew have also been through quite a deal, yet all they do is frak one another, drink alchohol and knock up the women of the enemy....
-
Who the frak cares about what other people think about what you do with your time. As long as you aren't killing anyone, molesting children or setting women on fire you should be left to your own devices. Besides, there isn't one single extra-curricular activity that couldn't be regarded as being immature from some certain point of relativity.

I'm not sure I understand. The basic character motivations in Metal Gear stories, on in any story involving people, are survival and the need to obtain power-what's contrived about that?
-
That's great news. I just hope that the next Cylon to be revealed isn't Kevin Sorbo, or something...
-
Guile had a Mustang in that movie? The movie was so painful to watch I didn't even notice...Kylie Minogue could have been NUDE and I wouldn't have noticed...
-
I would agree with you, but Kill Bill is one of those movies where you either "get it" or you don't....Fortunately, I do!

Anyone Else Have Problems With Shipping Carriers?
myk replied to DeathHammer's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
That's actually true, at least from what I'm told happens with the USPS. I had a friend that worked as a carrier for them, and he tells me that if they encountered a parcel that indicated fragile contents that, out of spite, they would treat the parcel with as much abuse and disregard as they possibly could. What the heck's wrong with these people...Being a restaurant Manager I can sympathize with hating your job, but you won't catch me or any of my employees spitting in people's food no matter how bad it gets... -
I really like the title of this thread....
-
That's almost as yummy as Yohsho's avatar...

Or an Aveo. 321669 Which is just a rebadged Daewoo. 321673 Those names (Aveo, Daewoo) should be forbidden in this thread. Though now that it's been mentioned I can almost guarantee blasphemous name reviving such as that to take place. What are your guys' opinion of the Cobalt? It may be American-rice but it can't be all that bad, can it?

My jaw hit the floor when 1:18th scale fighter planes started coming out almost 6 years ago, beginning with 21st century's P-51. My current 'fave is the P-47, along with the Corsair and the current BBI P-51, which I haven't de-boxed for the sake of space, or lack of it....As for the jets-too much money, not enough space, too many errors like Dave pointed out earlier... As for upcoming releases, the only thing I knew about was their TBF Avenger that has been delayed for at least a year now...
