I wouldn't be surprised if buying a bundle for the '360 is mandatory; this was the same situation with the PSP and I'm sure the powers that be are counting on "new console madness" to easily guarantee almost double the retail price on launch day. People were lining up at 9am in the morning? You have GOT to be kidding me. Maybe I've got it wrong-it's possible that the '360 gaming experience is so astounding that the girls of DOA will leap off of our televisions and into our laps...I better get in line RIGHT NOW!!!!

That's seriously lame. I was hoping just to get the system and a game or two. I don't need the "EXTREME XBOX 360 GAMER'S PAK with limited carrying case, bust of Neo's head and whatever else, brought to you by BEST BUY..." Jeesh....

You have to buy a bundle? I don't want to drop X amount of dollars on a bunch of games and/or accessories that I don't want...

Gotta' have that Mark 7-it'd be a nifty piece to have.

Unfortunately, alot of 'porn tries to have some sort of story, for all of the couples seeking "inspiration" I suppose. Anyway, what's this Alien Vs Predator "Unrated" nonsense all about? Word has it that there is a substantial amount of re-integrated footage that should help the dismal story somewhat. This two-disc set comes out Tuesday...

I'm glad you enjoyed it, but I have to say I didn't. All FPS games are generally the same anyway, but I couldn't relate to the heavy praise and hype that was given to FEAR. I didn't find the game to be any more frightening than DOOM3, the scare factor being one of the more touted features of this game. The AI was more intelligent than what I'm used to seeing, but other than that the game didn't present itself as anything else other than just another FPS... -It was very pretty, I have to say...

Yeah, I've been looking for large retail stores with any plans to open early and have found none. Now that I'm out of work, I suppose I could camp anywhere as early as I want to, although even then I'm sure I still won't be early enough...

I remember a disturbing scene where they had captured some cute blonde girl and had her bound and gagged to a platform of some sort, and one of the leader aliens told the lesser ones to "take her away for live dissection..." I loved the series, and was sad that the Native American/Special Forces guy had to die...

Has anyone taken a gander at some of the outrageous prices on the 'Bay? If you can get over that, you begin to wonder how these sellers can even guarantee that they will even have a system to send to you... In regards to the camping, I was planning to hit a Best Buy after work, about 3am or so, but even now I'm beginning to think that won't be early enough...

Don't forget Red Heat!

Usually no more than a few hours with me. From the moment of knowing about a certain toy/object until finally purchasing it seems like an eternity of want and painful desire. After actually having the toy that passion dies down quickly. In response to the XBOX 360 thread and about how people resorted to violence, muging and other craziness to get consoles in the past, I wonder if these people encountered the same feelings afterward? I'd sure feel dumb if I had been one of them...

You know it's been so long that I forgot about the madness that ensued when the PS2 was launched. People resorting to violence and mugging is just a little far out for me-I might have to miss the '360 after all. -Christ it's just a video game machine...
-
Hmm...How early did you camp out in front of the store for your PS2? I'm just trying to get an idea of how crazy it's going to be...I bet people will start lining up at midnight at least..
-
Yeah, the kiosks are certainly causing me to think twice about waiting 'till next year to get mine. Thanks to Dave in the earlier post, I just might camp out in front of a Best Buy somewhere a la Star Wars movie premiere, just to get one...

If Tinsel town is going to remake/revisit/revise something, it should be the original Star Wars trilogy. I'd love to watch 'Lucas reap untold profits yet again while pissing off all of those obsessive fans that live for nothing else... Besides, an original trilogy done in the style of the new trilogy would be interesting, with plenty of room to expand on the Gungans and their contribution to the universe...
-
Wow-thanks for the info! I can only imagine the long lines of sleeping bags piled outside of the stores on that day..
-
Which is exactly my point. I personally don't care if I don't get mine until next year, but alot of hardcore blokes out there preordered AND prepaid eons ago and I hear that some of them may not even get their systems...that's what's ridiculous to me...
-
If I had a dollar for everytime I heard a sob story about some guy who had a cool car but sold it because of whatever, and now he's all broken up and whatnot.... Don't do it, you'll probably regret it later...
-
Copy that. I've got a friend who is a store Manager for Gamestop as well and he couldn't even stop telling me reasons why not to join up with the company; they've got so much turn-over that maybe they should start installing revolving doors in their stores...
-
19 of 24? I couldn't have cared less if I had gotten mine or not (seems like I won't now), but all of these tales speaking of bungled pre-orders is just ridiculous...

Aw, hey. Any program that can feature a variable-tank is ok in my book...Who doesn't love tanks? -
Point Break was, as far as I'm concerned, the best example of work for both Keanu and Patrick Swayze...Maybe for Anthony Kiedis as well? Nah, I'm just kidding...

Years later I still don't understand any gripes about the last two Matrix films; they continue and conclude the story of Neo and the neophytes to a logical, predictable conclusion in typical fashion. Well, MY only problem with the entire series is Carrie Moss-that's not a WOMAN that's a MAN baby...
-
Sigh...I was just told by my online e-tailer that I probably wouldn't be getting my pre-order...Oh well, Kevin, here I come!

The only point to consider here is that SOMEONE'S childhood or early adolescence is being raped here...
