  1. More like a straight to the garbage can deal...
  2. I don't play 'Final or WoW, but I still run into most likely those same whiny bitches in Battlefield 2. What is it with these guys, anyway? I once linked up with a server that had the following rules: no jumping (to avoid being shot at), no diving (to present a smaller target), no "stealing" vehicles from the other side's base, no ramming with vehicles, and a host of other things I can't even begin to remember. The worst of it was when people on my team complained about my constantly trying to revive fallen squad-mates. WTF? That's what medics do, don't they? I'd rather be revived and given a second chance at life than just be left to die and respawn again. I can imagine the next rule for the whiners: no killing with automatic weapons! These online experiences are just games, GAMES! These people act like it's their real life and have a standard of conduct created just for a damned game-pathetic... -Anyone else in here on Battlefield 2?
  3. Lol-what the frak is that all about?!
  4. Talk of Miami Vice always brings up an age-old point of disbelief about it: Crockett's always complaining about how little they make on a "cop's salary;" life must really suck when all you can afford is a Ferrari Daytona Spyder, a house-boat, race boat and all of the pastel suits you could ever want...in the 80's, no less...lol
  5. I don't see different factions of Cylons, rather, I see different levels of programming for the Cylons, based on their level of infiltration into human society. 6 for example, is 100% loyal to the Cylons. Her distaste towards humans is obvious and her desire to further the Cylon cause is also just as obvious. It would be safe to assume that you won't find too many of her among the humans. On the other hand you have Boomer, who doesn't seem to have the strength, either physically or in regards to her devotion to the Cylon cause. I believe that lack of strength and devotion to be part of her design though, to further her ability to infiltrate and gain the trust of the human race. To the humans, Boomer appears to be a conflicted creature who deserves pity and forgiveness; humans after all are always full of compassion and forgiveness. In the end, her Cylon programming will take over and she'll betray Adama or anyone else. Any assistance that she renders to the humans will only serve to set them up for a probably greater fall in the end. -Aren't there about 7 more models? There could be alot more story in the future...
  6. Well, in her youth she was "kind of" cute for her bit role in Hard Target. -I take that back, I think 'Van Damme was cuter than she was....
  7. We've had what, 3 celebrity deaths over the last few weeks-this is saddening, but definitely odd...
  8. They should give a 360 to Saddam-I wonder if he'd start a blog on it...
  9. Anyone remember a show called "Brothers," that featured 3 men, one of them being a retired athlete, another a bumbling construction worker and the final one a man who just came out of the closet? The show was originally aired on one of the premium channels in the early 90's, and was actually funny while it infringed on the taboos of the time... Oh, and speaking of the girl from Wings, Crystal Bernard is/was gorgeous, but in regards to Silk Stalkings I like Janet Gunn (s) much more...
  10. Seriously. Jessica's never really "done" it for me though-it's got something to do with her face, it seems odd or at the very least manly. Also, I didn't catch that 2.5 minute long drift scene in the dirt, as I only viewed the "unrated" out-takes and bloopers for their "adult" oriented content; I'm such a cad... Would you really have to put a 2:1 steering box to pull something like that off?
  11. Just found out the other day-God bless google! Elin
  12. I'm tickled to see that Silk Stalkings and Renegade are out. If only Counterstrike could join this collection of USA channel specials... $176 was the best price I could find for that wrestling thing; are people really that crazy about it?
  13. No kidding-I'd be wasting his time with my stupid little 700 scale Andromeda...
  14. Hmm...That does suck. How much are Bandai 'Strikes going for these days?
  15. As you can see, you have the option of adding weapons, or even larger breasts... Those legos are awful...
  16. Now THERE was a game. In fact, I'll get that ROM right now...
  17. That movie made little sense, as I found it trying to be a parody of the original series while including the crassness of the American Pie generation, so 99% of the jokes fell flat on their face and the movie just felt DOA. I do recommend watching scene 20 though, as Rhys' drift is absolutely incredible; he does something in a car that was never meant to go in anything other than a straight line. I wish my 'Charger was set up like that one, and I definitely wish I had a fraction of Rhys' skills.... The unrated bloopers have countless nude scenes that to any red-blooded male look good, but once again appear to be senseless; I suppose that's why they wound up on the cutting room floor.
  18. Those pictures ARE mega creepy. They belong in some teen slasher movie, or something...
  19. He was here earlier today... Anyway, DOA has been pushed to the 22nd? I read somewhere that Tecmo was working on last-minute online tweaks. Silly me for placing a pre-order...
  20. The new Lotus' aren't my cup of tea either, but I admire their handling prowess and other attributes...
  21. Copy that. Giant ape running amock in a city, trampling the arrogance of man and his mailbox? Not too interesting to me. How was that 'Fitty-cent movie, anyway?
  22. 'Jem, I understand and agree with your point, but at the same time you can't deny the abused and tired trend that I've spoken of, and this very same trend is also being used in the movie; I can think of few other reasons why they would make such a change to the original story. Movie studios, both live action and anime, still think that girls gritting their teeth and saving the universe is a fresh, hot idea and it isn't; the performance of recent works insisting on this formula has been less than stellar. Now, it's not as if I don't approve of a female being the crux of a story, but it has to be deeper than just having an unstoppable woman with a weapon for the sake of it; exploitive stories such as those make me ill... In addition, I've come to admire your knowledge of the things that we speak of in the 'Forums, and respect your opinions and laugh at your wit; at the very least please show me the courtesy of a kind neighbor and leave the baseless attempts at scathing remarks for.......MGREXX. Finally, thank you, but I've already learned the identity of my avatar as well. I could definitely use your help in determining the identity of another possible avatar, if you're up to it....
  23. Scene 20 is the movie's saving grace, I have to say. I didn't know a car like that could be driven in such a manner... I'll try this with mine...
  24. I've got a '700 scale Andromeda I picked up at the Comic-con back in '99 that I'm too afraid to touch. Having a skilled modeler on hand would be nice... Andromeda, not Kevin Sorbo!
  25. People think that pre-Yamato days are the Golden days because they're giving in to excessive feelings of nostalgia. Not to resurrect an old and pointless arguement, but I will always regard the '55s to be a solid, excellent representation of Macross toys-legendary to be sure. However, I certainly don't want to return to those days, where prices for pieces like one of my Strike Valkyries cost around $1200. The market was out of control and I regard those days as the darkest days of Macross fandom. Memorabilia was rare and in usually bad shape, and it was far too costly. These days, are the true Golden Age. Not only can you buy factory new '55 Valkyries, but you can opt for 2 other scales of detail. Sick of the VF-1? Go hunt down a 'Plus Valkyrie; they're expensive, but not nearly as bad as it was in the "Golden Age" of the pre-Yamato days. Don't like 'Plus-style-chunk, then go for the Monster-who would have ever thought that mecha could become a variable fighter. And now with the 'Zero on the horizon that's larger than the '48, things have NEVER been this good.
