  1. Wow, that's really cool. Too bad we can't have animated avatars anymore... As for playing "what if" with Apollo, I had sincerely hoped that the surviving Cylons would have picked him up before FTL-ing. He would have then returned to the humans in a state of confusion or one of absolute evil, ala Tekkaman. At this point however, the only way his character can go is the "trying to find himself" route...
  2. Seriously. 90% of Jack's crisis' revolve around people that he knows and or cares about being held hostage somewhere. See? Having friends is bad for you!
  3. Mmmm, good. Hopefully they'll have plenty of closeups of that loud-mouthed cutie, Amy Sparks...
  4. If I could give LA Blue Girl a look, the least I could do is have a shot at this anime...Bring it on!
  5. Apollo just needs to get laid.
  6. I'm not too keen on the MP Voltron, but I'd have to go with a biased vote to Voltron, as he was a part of my childhood. That GGG does seem like a little much...
  7. Maybe it's an expose about our stubborn devotion to Macross and the refusal to let it pass away into anime history...
  8. Ah, what better way to answer this thread but with a breakdown of monthly expenses... rent: $600 auto insurance: $200 gas: $200 cell: $50 multi-media (cable, high speed internet, phone): $120 guinea pig supplies: $150 Being a member of Macross World-priceless....
  9. I hear air-raid sirens going off.... -Metal, that's a funny 'sig...
  10. Would you wind up in like, UCSD or something if you did?
  11. Based on reviews that had circulated at the time, I was under the impression that DAD was a flawed but entirely enjoyable and worthy film in the series.
  12. "Why's he getting headaches?....Spoilt for choice? Or is this another "head" we're talking about?" From my experience, a little bit of both. Working and having fun with these young chicklets is alot simpler than managing and having fun with them. Actually, managing and having fun with them just leads to problems...
  13. So, what did you guys think?
  14. Did the original have it?
  15. Sounds like a great job, to me...
  16. Oh, hey! I've never seen that Medicom deal before. Now THAT'S how 12" is done, although you get what you pay for; those MGS 12" like 14.99 or something last time I checked...
  17. Too old?. That didn't stop 'Connery, back in the day. I liked the Brosnan Bond, I believe his demeanor and presence were perfect for the role...Oh well... You're right about Chekov, though. What an ungrateful little man...
  18. Aw, that sucks. Does the lack of diecast detract from the toy at all?
  19. Well, if Brosnan's not happy with the script there's not much more to be said on that. As for Stewart, it's a shame to hear that he is rather "unpleasant." I guess he really knows how to work in front of the camera, as every interview that I've seen him in portrays him as a jolly 'ol English fellow who you'd wanna' tea-up with; he seems like such a likeable guy... I worked at the San Diego 'Con in '98, and had the distinct privelage of helping Walter Koenig check into the grounds. The hatred that he felt for the entire occasion was as plain as the nose on his face. When I asked him for his autograph, he replied by saying, "Oh God, why the hell not." He rolled his eyes, scribbled on my program guide and stomped off. His wide eyed assistant just smiled, tried to apologize and scampered after him. What is it with these guys anyway? Talk about biting the hand that not only feeds you but makes you, too...
  20. I've been thinking along the same lines. The older versions look beefier and I appreciate that, nevermind that when it came to poseability, merely standing up straight was a challenge sometimes. Looks like the arguments that developed for the Valkyries, Chunky old vs. Yamato new, would apply to the Voltrons as well. I like the poseability of the MP Voltron but I'm sure there's an issue of less durability and playability. With the older toy, you could drop it, transform it, whatever, just don't expect it to pose anything other than waving goodbye... As for vehicle Voltron, wouldn't any bias against it be from the "Go Lion" group of fans? I would hope that American fans would appreciate a new rendering of vehicle Voltron, and maybe that odd Voltron II as well...
  21. I played the 'Cube version of MGS, and I can't seem to remember if they upped the IQ on the AI, or not. What I can remember is all of the "extreme" action video sequences, with Snake jumping in between missiles, kicking them away, etc...
  22. The rig itself is also rather expensive, isn't it?
  23. Regardless of the success it usually brings, don't actors dislike being "typecast" anyway? Isn't that the reason why Pierce Brosnan no longer wants to play Bond, for example?
  24. Ah, everybody goes through phases, especially the car one. At some point in our lives we end up losing interest in whatever and move on to the next thing...
