1. That's just plain odd then, that they wouldn't release a "new" MKII to go along with the rest of the lineup. Ah who cares, it's the MK7 that I want to hold in my hands...
2. Well, I suppose these companies have performed research that indicates people would be inclined to buy a retro-themed modern car. I don't understand it, and I would never follow suit with their plans and buy such a car for the sake of it's nostalgaic value; I would buy the new "Super Bee" for example, just because I happen to like the platform and the sheetmetal...
3. The Joyride Studios Viper toy is the 1978 TOS version, not the new 2004 MKII. As of this moment, there is no MKII toy, just some resin garage kits. Graham 364349 Wow. I had no idea that they were different Vipers. What are the main differences?
4. It couldn't have been THAT bad...
5. Lol...Who am I kidding-I'm going to watch this as soon as I can...
6. Asian, as in somewhere else other than China? As far as I know, 360's will be manufactured out of China. As for disc trays, my first unit's tray actually popped out at one point... Mike, I didn't mean to generalize. Knowing that you're a professional in the industry I just assumed that you probably had some SLI equipped, liquid nitrogen cooled, Skynet-like computer at your disposal.
7. Maybe they figure we've already got the Joyride Studios edition Viper MkII, so fans don't need another version?
8. I'm not familiar with NASCAR history, as the idea of driving in circles really fast doesn't do anything for me, but weren't the cars from the 60's and 70's just race-prepped versions of the production cars? Obviously, the cars driving in circles really fast in today's NASCAR have nothing to do with production cars, other than being made on the same planet...
9. Huh?! Expanded what?!
10. Maybe........Bandai could just cheat and reissue the 'O and 'Elint with regular VF-1 noses? I'd still buy it. Although if they're willing to tool up for the specialized pieces that go into both fighters, the nose shouldn't be too much trouble...
11. This variable fighter is supposed to be....."odd" looking, as it's the predecessor to the sleeker, ideally proportioned and arguably better looking VF-1...
12. Kite? What is that? I've never heard of it. Oh wait let me guess: It's a story about a young or young-ish girl in school, who wears cute little outfits, doesn't talk much, has a fraked up past, no familiy, and is an EXPERT killer, right? -Hollywood isn't the only entertainment medium that lacks originality. There's another thread here somewhere about how most of us have lost the urge to watch new anime, and the lack of originality or anything groundbreaking is the problem. As a matter of fact, I'm going to start my own anime franchise. The story will begin with a spaceship that appears from seemingly nowhere and crashlands in the Pacific Ocean, as the world is destroying itself in a brutal world war, sometime in the year.................
13. That's cute. I would've ended it with Galvatron executing 'Prime, though...
14. I have NO problem with Toyota and Honda getting into the NASCAR mix. Most people consider NASCAR a dead spectacle anyway. I'm curious to see how they will do. Anyone who feels that NASCAR should remain "American," to the exclusion of any foreign entities, is probably registered with the Klu-Klux-Klan registry in Mississippi...
15. The Cylons are idiots then. They would merely have to bombard the Galactica with missile fire as the Colonials waited in futility for a gun-range encounter. I do remember that in the mini-series the Cylons jammed the heck out of the Colonial's combat systems. However, suddenly the Cylons are incapable of doing that now? If the combat systems of the Colonials are such that the Cylons are incapable of affecting them, wouldn't the missiles apply to them as well? I was just stating that Viper and missile computer systems can't be that far apart, and that there is no reason that missiles would be problematic now. As for producing fighters and missiles, you're not refering to the Blackbird, are you? That is the corniest part of the story to date, a definite mistake on the part of the writers. It would get even cornier if the Galactica is supposed to be reproducing fighters-a carrier would not have the resources to do that. All of this is just speculation, anyway. Missiles are probably too expensive to project, FX-budget wise, as we hardly see the Cylons ever using them, and who knows how the writers will eventually explain how the Colonials keep coming up with more Vipers, pilots and equipment. Realistically, they can't...
16. They did do that, back in the mini-series. They got out of that one by reverting back to an older software suite. One that wasn't as complex and less networked. Hence, they have to dumbfire the missiles. The Colonials are the most fortunate creatures of creation then-all the Cylons have to do is sit back and pepper the Galactica with missile fire. The Colonials can merely wait for gun-range in futility. They can always try to fabricate new missiles. They constructed a fighter, why not missiles? Are you refering to the Blackbird? That whole bit is probably the corniest thing I've seen in the entire series, a definite mistake on the part of the writers. If Galactica is indeed reproducing fighters, where would they get the parts? I'll say again that making gun rounds is one thing, manufacturing missiles and fighters with complex engines and management systems is something else. I recall but one squadron of Mark II's on board when the Galactica first started running. If we put this all together, it sounds logical. Missiles may be better at long range, but if the enemy can jam the guidence, then that makes them combat ineffective. If they are dumbfired, then the enemy fighters can just avoid them, at long range. This would apply to the Vipers. Vipers would also have to fire them blind. They can't waste missiles like they do with their bullets since missiles are a bit more costly, resource-wise. And if the enemy can jam them, what's the point of wasting missiles on small targets when they could be saved for the big ones. The Cylons are dumb then-they just need to use missiles to overwhelm their hapless fleet... 363649
17. I believe that missiles are too difficult to manufacture. As for constructing fighters, are you refering to the Blackbird? That was...corny, to say the least-a definite mistake on the part of the writers. I don't recall any instance that shows the Colonials are reproducing fighters. How could they? Where would they get the parts?
18. Did you get your money back?
19. If aviators are numbed to high pitched sounds, then the military had no reason to disqualify me then... 360's are slowly becoming more available. People at my local Targets have stated that the frequency of shipments and the quantity in those shipments is slowly starting to increase. Considering that there is at least 1, if not 2 new Chinese factories beginning their production of 360's, shortages shouldn't be a problem within the next month or two. As for the recalls, that's another issue...
20. AMX's are cool, and from my point of view very tempting, however I've already got my hands full. In addition, sourcing parts is even more difficult than it is for my 'Charger...
21. Those colors aren't accurate at all...
22. True...Soooo true...
23. That should be good. I was wondering though-does Chloe have any other facial expressions other than that "concerned, deep in thought" look? Considering that she's been having an affair with what's his face, I wonder if that's the face he saw when they were together...
24. It's a big, akward looking bird-I love it...
