395964[/snapback] Yup, my Super Milia and CF, both '48s, arrived without heatshields. Back when the '48 first debuted years ago, I staunchly defended Yamato and their grand undertaking of a "perfect transformation" 1/48 VF-1; if any of you guys remember there were plenty of quality issues and whiners to match. But with the Super J's and the CF? Gimme' a break, Yamato's had years to tighten up their production techniques and it hasn't gotten much better, this being supported by the VF-0's already problematic launch...

I hope the english dubs are like the Australian accented actors in Clash of the Bionoids...

Unfortunately, I don't think that more time producing the VF-0 will greatly decrease Yamato's QC issues. For example, my Milia Super J and CF came without heatshields and we all know that the VF-1 isn't a spring chicken anymore. At this point I don't think that they really give an F...

Whoa, Andromeda II? I had no idea that there was such a thing. That design is cool, but a little "overdesigned" if you know what I mean; almost like the latest Space Cruiser Yamato incarnation that features a saucer section in its midsection. As for favorite ship designs, I would have to say the Andromeda I from 'Space Cruiser, and the Galaxy class starship from 'Trek...

Deja vu, guys. Whether it's the 1/48 VF-1, the YF-19, or the VF-0, first run batches always have more quality control issues to deal with. As I said previously, maybe this incorrect shoulder won't interfere with the transformation process and it won't be too noticeable; then again, I'm not a battroid mode lover so it isn't much of a concern for me anyway. Don't worry though, 3 years from now, when we're staring at the LV2, Stealth and countless other versions of the VF-0 I'm sure that the majority of the issues will be resolved...

As long as it still transforms properly, I could forgive something like that...

That girlfriend of yours needs to be put in her place. What you do with your money isn't anyone's business but your own. If and when you decide to spend any of your hard-earned money on her, she should thank the stars and be grateful. On that note, go out and buy all of the Macross stuff ya' want...

Oh, I hear your praise for the '55. I strongly believe that the '55 is one of the greatest toy designs of all time, however the '55 does not accurately represent what the VF-1 looks like...

Yeah, this will probably water down the BSG universe and it's impact on its audience...

Just because Valkyrie IS sometimes used as an all encompassing word doesn't make it correct. Furthermore, since when have the words band-aid and q-tip been used to encompass anything else? A band aid is just a band aid. A q-tip is just a q-tip. A VF-1 Valkyrie is just a VF-1 Valkyrie; everything else is a variable fighter...

I wouldn't make any changes to any of the variable fighters, especially my favorite, the '21/22. On a side note, only the VF-1 is a Valkyrie. Any other transformable aircraft in the Macross world is a variable fighter...

I could dig that, but they need to do something about the Riker-Troi thing. Having a husband and wife team on a deepspace explorer doesn't sound very exciting...
