  1. You can. We can. I will!
  2. Not even for $12.99 would I deem that a good buy. Aren't genuine '55 reissues going for reasonable prices these days anyway?
  3. I can't imagine stores overstocking these things to the point where they have to clearance them out-gone are the days of the $35 Naboo Royal Starship. If stores did have to make such a move, I'm sure people wouldn't wait to snatch these things up almost instantly...
  4. I think that would end up pissing me off in the long run. What if you forgot to do something at the other end of Hyrule and didn't think of it until you were halfway across? Would you have to travel another 23 minutes just to go back, then travel another 45 minutes just to get where you were originally trying to go?
  5. Can't wait for Dave's response. Anyway no, Battroids can't fly because they're not real...
  6. Lol, that does look pretty bad, like a custom done by someone who's never held a paintbrush before. I think they should've left the 'AT colored like the ones in this photograph:
  7. I'd say if you don't already have the 'AT then it's worth taking the plunge. Although the 'AT is clearly out of scale to other vehicles and itself, it's still a large, well detailed vehicle that most fans would be happy with. I'm hoping that they keep the electronic sounds and firing missiles. Did the original 'AT walk? I lucked out on my AT's, as I waited for them to be marked from $90 to about $30 and then picked up about 6 of them back in '99 or so...
  8. How much bigger would the B and Y wings be if they were scaled to the FX X-wing?
  9. Well, they've just reissued the Snowspeeder so I wouldn't be surprised if the Y Wing got another run. I'm sure that just like the Snowspeeder and previous Y Wing releases though, it'll be a Target or TRU exclusive and it'll be hard to find; I really hate that. Also, I wonder what paint scheme they'll use this time...
  10. Well control for one thing, as the "Veritech" in BC is a craft that is reasonably pilotable, unlike the VF-X's control scheme and camera angles that just didn't make any sense at all. I don't even want to mention the fact that the VF-X's had MAJOR graphical errors like constant pop-up, distorted character models, objects and characters that were there one minute and GONE the next, etc. The soundtracks for those games were also murder on the ears-I'd rather listen to Enya's greatest hits than anything the VF-X games had to offer. "Get Free?" Get me away from those games, is more like it. Don't get me wrong, I WANTED the VF-X games to be the killer Macross 'apps but they were just too sloppy and I have no patience for that. Say what you will about BC's repetitive and frustrating missions but the game is executed smoothly and the game was designed as such that in the heat of battle, transforming on the fly, I truly felt that I was piloting a Veritech/Valkyrie...
  11. So, the newer ones come with swamp moss... Anyway, I wound up with 7 of these because I purchased one during the initial release. Then Kay-Bee toys had a mega-discount promotion that included the FX's at like, $25 each so I picked up 4 more and kept them in the box. A buddy of mine running a toy-collector place got two loose ones and so I picked those up as well. They should have at least kept the launching proton torpedo, that's an integral part of potential X-wing play after all. Which reminds me, anybody have spare torpedoes I could buy?
  12. What's wrong with the Hornet?
  13. Do the later versions of the FX X-wing mold still come with the collapsable handle on the bottom? Do they still feature that spring loaded proton torpedo? The FX X-wing is one of my favorite pieces of all time-I've got 7 of those things, lol...
  14. Yeah, they should've given it a 9...
  15. Lol...
  16. Lol, Macross fanboys in College don't get girls so spend away!
  17. Unabashedly Contrarian indeed. I would gladly pay twice the price of the '19 for a '21 that captures the anime version as closely as possible...
  18. Weeeell, you could help us out with that though...
  19. Well, I think this show was far too generous in its praise of the 2nd generation Dodge Charger, especially when quoting performance 'specs and how it ran against other cars and engines, but it's always nice to hear good things about your car: http://www.aros-max.co.uk/holleystuff/ultimatecar.wmv
  20. Thanks for the pictures Graham. This is looking to be the best $200 I ever throw away..
  21. Time to break out the Dreamcast...
  22. Good God, to hell with a Yamato produced, DYRL-style SDF Macross. An SOP Andromeda would be the ship of all ships...
  23. The criticism of the game's excessive escort missions is wrong, or at least misplaced. Considering the period of the story, where the RDF was nearly destroyed along with Earth, there was little more to do than protect human military and civilian assets. Besides, the game would have been equally criticized if the missions were composed mostly of kill-all-the-bad-guy scenarios. Man, I'm really getting into this game again though. I'm glad I have the VFX games to use as pretty drink-coasters...
  24. Yeah, but when are they going to release that Andromeda mechanical file? I love my Yamato mechanical file ship, but there can't be any substitute for the diecast/plastic piece of work that Bandai has/is making...

    Graham's Sig

We should just drop it, we're only making it worse on ourselves...
