  1. Better yet, refer him to this site, post his work or a link to his information and methods...
  2. I'm not too keen on my SDF Macross. Is that before or after he died? If it's after, I mean c'mon now, Claudia wasn't that hot, lol...
  3. Suicide or self-destruction seems to be a favored tactic by the REF in this movie. If you can recall, Marcus' wingman Alex destroyed himself to take out seven enemy fighters...
  4. Cottle's so damned funny, that I hope another doctor character won't diminish what little of him we see...
  5. The kit requires cement, paint and minor electrical work for the lights and radio controlled gun turrets. I'd say it's worth the money and effort if you're that big into the 'Space Cruiser. I'd certainly go for an Andromeda myself...
  6. Yeah, YEAH! Ariel's where it's at. Oh, about Punky Brewster, she did in fact receive a breast reduction. Word has it that she was so large that she had debilitating, chronic back pains as a result of her God given gifts...
  7. Why would they design the landing gear so? Also, I hope all of the people that keep insisting that it's the owner's who can't figure out how to deploy the landing gear outward read your statement, Graham...
  8. Nostalgia won't be much of a factor when it comes to watching this story. For something that keeps touting the continuation of a story after 20 long years, there's nothing other than a few old character names to help fans associate or feel any sort of connection to the Robotech stories of old. Additionally, unless you've read the less than stellar Sentinel's novels a person would be lost and unfamiliar with the setting and characters of the Shadow Chronicles. Janice Em? Haydonites? Vince Grant? Huh? Fans looking for nostalgia will find themselves lost in space like the SDF-3. Well, at least the Ariel and Janice Em character designs are pretty yummy...
  9. Speaking of Graham, what the heck happened at that meeting with Yamato on the 5th?
  10. Waffles FTW...
  11. Some of us would like a perfect transformation '60 series VF-1 because 1/60 seems to be Yamato's declared scale for their newer releases. Furthermore, there are those of us who want to display the VF-1 with Yamato's latest releases, such as the '19 and the upcoming '51, however in proper scale. Personally, I think posing a '48 VF-1 besides the '60 Zero and the '100 VB-6 with a Joke Machine up front and a 'Taka SDF-1 in back and a Hikaru man-doll to the right is....silly. As for the looks of the different scales, I and others like the looks of the '60 VF-1 over the '48 that looks wierd and disproportionate in different modes. All of this of course, is just a matter of personal taste-to each their own, and it really isn't a big deal either way, at least not to me...
  12. Yeah, 'Eman was pretty bold and broke the shoulders apart...
  13. Ok, the indentation on the strut itself is there, but it still wasn't enough to allow the landing gear to deploy outward far enough, hence the 'modding on the carrier of the strut...
  14. I see a perfect square, guys. The before and after pictures of the people who 'modded their struts says it all. Maybe we're not talking about the same area?
  15. They're probably out of the price range anyway, and I'd rather not introduce this young collector to Yamato's "infamous" quality control. Heck, I think I'm gonna' buy those 100's after all. The King needs some company...
  16. I was considering buying some of the 1/100's to pose next to my 1/100 Koenig, but when I compare them to the 1/48 or even 1/60 VF-1's I can't justify the expense. I would recommend that you try to buy a 1/60 or 1/48 scale VF-1 by Yamato, although I sense you're more of a Robotech fan, so maybe the Toynami 1/100's are right for you. Besides, they're cheap...
  17. If you're going to have a movie about buxom, bouncing fighting babes, then you'd better cast buxom, bouncing actresses to fill those roles and those cup sizes-they didn't in this movie...
  18. Unless there are 19's with different landing gear struts, the proper indentation for the correct deployment of the landing gear is not present, preventing the landing gear from extending fully; it has nothing to do with paint or instructions. There's a whole thread about this in the customization section of the forum...
  19. Wow, really? Anyway, my 4 in 1 action-replay-plus still works despite being 10 years old. I did forget to change the battery in my Saturn, meaning that my saved game information is gone. Oh well. DYRL wasn't difficult to play, anyway...
  20. I say that the Ghost would have worn the pilots down eventually, and one could assume that the YF's were running low on 'ammo as well (didn't Izzy lose his gunopd?). The limitations of humanoid piloting was given all of the proof it needed in that last battle with the Ghost. This is all hypothetical though, so who knows. What I do know however, is that Myung was a waste of time-that girl had way too much baggage anyway...
  21. N-no. I can't believe people actually saw the entirety of this movie. The beginning of the movie had me reminiscing about the time I had 3 root canals done in one session...
  22. Lol. The material of the landing gear "boxes" is so weak that people have been able to just push the landing gear struts into position, thus making an indentation large enough to properly extend the landing gear...
  23. What method did you use to fix your gunpod?
  24. That's pretty cool. How about a shirt featuring Nora ripping her top open, like when she did so for Shin?

I trust Graham's words, and I'm trying to point out to the whiners why Yamato seems indifferent to the problems we are having. Buyers outside of Japan, U.S. buyers in particular, seem to think Yamato "owes" them and they don't. I certainly am NOT a defender of Yamato or their shoddy production techniques that should have seen improvement over the last six years, but I've always accepted that I'm taking a gamble by purchasing their products because I will not have their support. At this point we can continue to provide evidence of design flaws and hope for the best, stamp our feet and whine, fix brand new toys with recastors or ignore their products altogether. I'm starting to lean towards ignoring their products because these toys, their stratospheric price tags and conversely horrible quality control don't need to be in my life... <<<<<<<<<<<<<< "Everything you own in a box to the left..."
