Well, I have to say that the final showdown between Desslock and Wildstar was a powerful, evocative scene, every bit as strong as I remember it from the '80s. This story really kicks in during the last 8 episodes or so...

Thanks for the link to the HK sets. Not too crazy about the idea of buying into the HK stuff, but what's a man to do. As for the story, it just doesn't make sense to me: the Starforce and their hijacked ship bite and claw their way to Telezart just so Treleina can tell them something they already know. I don't know. Like I said, I'm hoping the uncut version can fill in the pieces...

I've spent the last decade or so, dreaming about the day I'd be able to watch Season 2 of Star Blazers, the Comet Empire. My own memories as well as the testimony of fans all over the world state that season 2 is the greatest of the Space Cruiser Yamato stories and timeline. So here I am watching it finally, and I'm completely underwhelmed. Hopefully, one of you guys can help me make sense of the story at the very least and keep me from throwing the box set into the streets. Ok, so Derek and the Starforce go out of their way to hijack the Argo, in the process destroying units of the Earth Defense Force, risk their lives for about half of the season just to get to Telezart and meet up with Treleina. When they meet with Treleina what happens? Nothing! She proceeds to tell Derek and the gang that the Comet Empire is about a month away from Earth. Great, it's not as if everyone in the universe didn't already know that-hell everyone knew that BEFORE the Argo even left Earth! They wasted half of a season on a pointless journey, from what I can tell. Now, I'm assuming that the hacked up US version of season 2 is responsible for this confusion, and I'm hoping that one of you is more familiar with the REAL story, if there even is one. Nostalgia? Meh...

I think I'm jealous. I might be able to buy one 10 years from now when they start to fall into the hands of the mullet legion...

Bingo. Besides, it's either keep her in the school girl outfit or put her in some ridiculous 80's-esque Super-Robot-Pilot outfit. Also, those crazy animators and their fans love under-aged girls in school girl outfits...

Don't bother with 'Spider 3-it's the type of movie that has you embarrassed for having even sat down to watch it. As for Bourne, I couldn't sit through it as I found it so boring. I'd explain why, but I'm afraid I'd fall asleep at the keyboard...

Honestly, I don't even remember season 3 as it was so long ago-long enough for me to forget it anyway. If anyone shares your feelings about season 3 I'd say it was because the show is starting to "jump the shark," as they say. I mean, they're at the point in the story where they're out in space, headed towards Earth and there really isn't much more that you can do with the story except, well, get to Earth. Anything else in between that arrival, if it even happens, will be just filler-recycled material at best...

That's exactly what I'm planning to do. I don't want to "re-invest" in the VF-1 but I need at least one '60 scale VF-1 to pose with its '60 scale 'Plus descendants. Finally, getting the 2-seaters will be the long-awaited bonus...

Rockband is the most multi-player fun I've had since the Mario games on the 'Cube. Only problem is, where the hell am I supposed to put all of this stuff?! Lol, the drumset is enormous!

Before I picked up my black '99 Trans Am, I seriously considered picking up a gold 2000 convertible T/A. According to the related forums it's a very rare color, although I just couldn't bring myself to get excited over it-I mean it's gold. Also, convertible T/A's don't get the high T/A spoiler, they get the lower Formula one, and as far as I'm concerned a T/A really isn't one unless it has the high-gonzo spoiler on it. And as for the color, it's gotta' be black OR navy blue metallic...

So the Predalien is a rapist-nifty idea. Well, it was pretty much the trainwreck that we all thought it was going to be, but I don't think anyone here expected more than such. A few gripes about the movie other than its existence: the movie really dragged in the beginning before anything important happened, aliens and predators are reduced to "monsters in bushes," as opposed to the ominous, magnificent creatures in past movies, the Weyland Yutani element was needlessly re-introduced, about 2 seconds long and thus totally unnecessary. I can't or don't really care to think of much more. "AvP" is gene-spliced with "I know what you did last summer, Scream, etc" and that sums up this addition to the franchise...

Minimum wage increases to $8/hour here in 'Cali in January, but it still can't match the cost of living...

Rifles. The best I could legally hope for would be an AR-15 with a fixed 10 shot mag-damn CA gun laws! Anyway, an old high school buddy bought Rockband for me!
