  1. Wow. That is really freaking tempting. I guess I wouldn't know what to do with the 50 other releases of the 'Falcon I have in hiding...
  2. 4 'o clock in the morning by 'Stefani...
  3. SCAN IT! SEND IT! j/k What a cool find. Are we talking a full sales brochure with all options, or just a basic pamphlet? About the new Mustang, all I can find on google are the concept pictures. Got any real ones? In regards to fancy shop tools, I'm sure 'Emaj is just refering to a greater variety of tools to fill the complete spectrum of automotive repair needs, while backyard monkeys like me are having to scratch heads, cobble things together, "wing it," etc. Not to mention that having a lift makes all the difference. Addendum: I just saw the new 2010 Mustang and...what the heck is new about it? Looks 'bout the same to me as the current one. And is that 315bhp rating truly "it?" My decade-old Z28 and T/A can't stop giggling and pointing...
  4. Quantum of Boredom, is more like it. I don't think I've seen a more BLAH movie since Superman Returns. I mean, here we have a movie where nothing of any significance happens EVER. There's alot of traveling, kung-fu, things breaking and stern faces from M and Bond but that's basically the movie. What? Who? Why? How? This movie failed to get me to care, and trust me, after being blown away by Casino Royale I wanted this movie to work. Epic Failure. And say what you will about Brosnan, but unlike Quantum of Boredom, I never found myself asking just where the f**k is this going during his movies...
  5. Heh, I remember when you were selling your Firehawk-I wanted to buy it from you so badly and I hated you for selling it, lol. I swore from that moment on to get one of my own. I....like the G8's rims, but I drive F body's, my taste standards are pretty low anyway...
  6. Are you still driving your GTO? If you are, will you keep it along with the G8?
  7. Man, what I wouldn't give for access to a lift, or even a "pit" for that matter...
  8. I'm one of the unsuspecting American fans that didn't realize that ST was blatantly ripping off other SF series, but I can safely say that I'm also one of the unsuspecting American fans that doesn't care. I mean, who cares if a story's ripped and fitted into another universe as long as it's entertaining-the idea of an original idea is deader than dead. Actually, the bottom line is that I don't care about 'Trek anymore anyway; 'Trek is what's deader than dead and I'm sure alot of other people probably feel the same way...
  9. Dave, getting underneath your car with nothing but cheap Craftsman stands holding certain death above you is quite a thrill, I assure you. I do most of the work on my cars and every time I make it out from under I appreciate life that much more! Once, I was underneath my Camaro and it "fell" onto the jack stands. I guess I had forgotten to lower the car off of the jack onto the stands, and eventually the car just dropped. Scary moment I tell ya. BTW, what sort of work are you planning to do on your car?
  10. Thanks for the input, guys. Yeah, this thing I built over 3 year ago has no problem with COD4 on high settings so I guess I can wait a bit. Maybe I'll try and buy a game like Crysis or something to distract myself. As for RAID, I guess I'm not really sure what that multiple drive stuff is about, as well as the corresponding numbering that goes with it. As I said, there have been some that have told me that RAID doesn't guarantee a performance increase, but it does sound interesting. In regards to the v-cards, I don't see why a single 9800 GTX isn't just as good as 2 8600 GT's in SLI mode. I guess it looks cooler? I dunno. If anyone has a 'mobo and CPU preference, as well as configurational recommendations, like the RAID, SLI, etc, please throw it out there for me so I can mull over some ideas...
  11. Well, I'll never put together a rig like Dante's, but I'll just live without. Nice system though! Anyway, I'm playing with the idea of building another system, but it's been a few years since I've done so and I have to admit I'm a little lost. To begin with, what's the story on Pentium processors these days? I don't get the whole dual core, core 2, core 2 duo, quad core names for the current processors. I'm not looking for performance 'specs, rather just what processor would be adequate for respectable performance without having to take out a loan. Also, why are the processing speeds lower than what they used to be during the non dual core processor days? For example, I'm running a 3.4ghz Pentium, but I'm guessing my CPU isn't as efficient as the dual core ones that run at much lower frequencies (?). Secondly, with the processor I'd have to pick out another 'mobo; suffice to say I'm not sure what to look for, other than PCI-E for a video card and SATA. Is RAID something I should set up? I've been told that RAID doesn't necessarily guarantee substantial performance gains so I'm not sure about that either. Speaking of video cards, should I SLI or not? Seems like a neat gimmick but I'm not sure if it's necessary. I can't think of anything else to ask right now. I should state that I'm looking for mid-grade, respectable performance out of my system, with a slight nod to graphics capabilities. My current system: 3.4ghz, 2g's of RAM, 8600 GT, 75g Raptor, and I've always been able to play the latest games (up to COD4) on high settings without any problems at all. Any opinions or advice is greatly appreciated...
  12. The implication that the Brosnan Bond was a "dark" character beneath all of the quips and jokes was very poorly made even in Goldeneye. Furthermore, the remaining Bond movies virtually did away with his "dark" side entirely. I believe the only other mention of his past involved a fling with Teri Hatcher. With Craig there is no silliness or boyishness about him, no Q and his stupid gadgets to goof on-he's a hard, able, focused man on a mission...
  13. Only for thinking that there's something wrong with you for liking something...
  14. Just depends on what kinda' Bond you're into. I liked Brosnan because I think he fit the role of the handsome, dapper, capable English super agent with a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor that mirrored the tone of the movies he was in. Craig on the other hand, is a more brutal, hard nosed sort of an agent and obviously 'Royale reflects that as well. Ultimately I think the fun and games days of Brosnan's Bond needed to end; I want to see how Craig's Bond will carry on the legacy...
  15. Maybe this time, instead of rolling the car through the air to scrape a bomb off of it, he'll FLIP the car end over end to scrape the bomb...
  16. Actually, that was pretty cool. The wreck sold for quite a bit of money, I'm told...
  17. I remember when they were clearancing A-wings for like $5 at TRU, I bought like 10 of 'em. Anyway, still no SFX for the A-wing? That's too bad. I've always enjoyed that feature about my FX X-wings. -Question about Y-wings, do any of you guys that own them have the problem of the landing gear not being able to support the weight of the fighter? My 'Y is always sitting on its belly because of this...
  18. Ha ha ha......
  19. Well, considering that most Japanese protagonists, Jubei for example, look about as Japanese as a Ford Mustang, I guess using a studly Western actor will be fine. Is Brad Pitt busy?
  20. Roger that, I mean, running over some broad is one thing, but rolling an Aston Marton?! Unforgivable...
  21. Where does it say that the role of Jubei will be played by a non-Japanese actor? Oh, and I don't care who works on or eventually acts in this, it will abololutely fail...
  22. Well, they won't let 'Snipes play the role from jail, will they?
  23. I'm going as a dumb ass restaurant manager...
  24. That's too bad. Also, didn't they have a similar problem with F-15's a few months ago? On another note, the gf and I were sitting on a dock with our feet in the water, watching some ducks, when the oddest trio of planes I've ever seen flew over us: an F-16, P-51 and F-22, flying so close together, tip to tip it was like a dream; I didn't even know the '22 was in active service yet. Since the Miramar air show is on this weekend we saw a bunch of other planes fly over us as we sunbathed at Miramar Lake. After babbling about how great flying must be and how awesome those planes were I took this opportunity to re-create the scene in 'Plus where Isamu runs up and down the dock, makes a plane with his hand and lands it on Lucy; let me tell you guys, alot of times life sucks but yesterday it was absolutely PERFECT...
