All this talk about classic 'Joe airpower got me going... I'm almost certain that with the exception of the Defiant all of the other aircraft themselves are 100%. I don't have all blueprints or drivers, but then again I never cared for those. I was there for the planes, just the planes, ma'am. Now, this doesn't represent ALL of my aircraft, I've got multiples of the 'Ravens, Sky Strikers, Conquests, Rattlers; not to mention helicopters like the Tomahawk, Dragonfly, FANG, etc. Of interesting note is my X-19; apparently there were 2 variants, one which featured a landing gear actuator like that of the 'Raven, the other, which is what I have, featured a sort of "tail hook" that you could pull down to drop the wheels. I also like the F-16: there's a flip down handle that, when deployed, starts jet engine, machine gun and missile shot sounds. Another cool feature is that inside of the intake there's a projector that puts up on a wall a target recticle surrounding a Cobra plane. Thanks to this thread I even got to pull out a few obscure fighters that I forgot I even had. Now, this probably isn't even a third of the aircraft available for classic 'Joe, but I'm not a completist, I just buy what interests me. Heck, I may even consider looking for a Mamba someday. Honorable mention goes to my Rolling Thunder, Thunderclap, Mobat, Mauler and Pac-Rats who couldn't drive fast enough to get to the photo shoot in time, lol...

Yeah seriously. Your post is making think that I should probably check my aircraft and see if they're missing anything. Isn't there some kind of internet uber-list that documents vehicles, their descriptions, maybe photos and a complete list of parts, accessories, etc? For example, ever since I bought the Defiant I've wondered as to what I'm missing but haven't had a reference point. Another piece I'd like to know about is the Sky Raven-a bright chrome repaint of the Night Raven. When I bought mine it didn't have a drone like on the Cobra version, but I find it hard to believe they didn't repaint the drone and include it with the Sky Raven also...

Who here has heard of the VF-1B, if so should they make a toy of it?

Yeah reading the book is not a bad idea. Just because ROTF the movie is a complete waste of space doesn't mean that the book is the same way. Unfortunately, I'm trying to read up on Half Blood Prince for next week and I started reading Interview with the Vampire so my T-formers will have to wait... -

Wait, this trash is actually a "book" too? -

I mean, if you're gonna rice out your car shouldn't you start out with the wheels? What's the point of busting for a full on wing/bodykit, stickers and all that but still be rolling on 15" stockers with wheel covers? Jesus...

All this talk about "origins" types of stories about Solo, Vader, Kenobi, etc. is a good idea. Maybe they could set it up with a Smallville kind of vibe, lol..

Just another day in 'Socal... I know you prolly can't see it in the pictures, but the 'Stang is sporting NOS, autobot, DUB and San Diego Chargers emblems. F**king awesome. Who needs Ram-Air when you can have all of that...

Since I work for Target now, I helped to set up an ROC display end-cap on July 4th after we closed. I feel like a part of history in the making! J/K... Anyway, the figures look ok I guess-I'm a vehicle guy. However in regards to the vehicles I was largely unimpressed. That $40 Night Raven is a sorry replacement for the original, and that $100 mobile command center pile-0-plastic is a joke. Anyone pick any of this stuff up yet?

Once again, that isn't the point. We're not looking for Hamlet, Les Miserables or even Boys N the Hood in a Bay-formers movie. I expect ANY action-oriented movie to be somewhat mindless and ridiculous, but it doesn't have to be vulgar and crass with the juvenile, frat-house humor that Michael Bay and this movie franchise believes that you need to have in order to win over your audience. If you wanna talk successful escapist movies you can easily accomplish that by not carrying racist undertones, excessive sexual exploitation and general vulgarity; Star Wars (with exception to Phantom Menace), Wall-E, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek and countless others allow us to "escape" but don't ask us to leave our sense of morality, ethics and too much of our brains outside of the movie theater. A movie that doesn't have a swiss-cheese like plot/storyline, and isn't trying to seem as if the people who wrote for American Pie wrote for this one as well shouldn't be too much to ask. But then again, as another poster previously said, ROTF is exactly what people these days want to see. Well if I'm in the minority then so be it, but that's just really, really, really sad... -

Wow. Is that really what the public wants to see and experience? -

I don't get that at all. The only reason why women are even in this movie is to exploit and objectify them sexually. I dunno, I guess I can appreciate a girl who thinks she needs to be thought of as a plaything... -

That whole bit is hilarious. Are those the same guys that did the "editing room script" for Episode 3? Maybe they hang out together or something, lol... http://www.the-editing-room.com/revengeofthesith.html -
Your words are truly humane and honorable, but I have to say that respect is earned, it isn't given away. Am I glad that a fellow human being has prematurely died? No. Am I glad that a potential-pedophile is on his way to burn in whatever hell he believes in, f**k yeah. At this point, unless you actually believe in some sort of higher ethereal power, the only person that knows the truth about MJ's guilt or innocence has died and taken the truth with him; I say we let the man and his truth rest in peace. Whether he was innocent or guilty doesn't matter anymore...

Let's hear some specifics. What was your issue with the first movie? What about the new one, other than the fact that it's probably too long and that Megan Fox is even more useless this time around? -
Lol, right. I guess that's the trick when you've got a bad concept and you won't let it die: let it bomb now in the present, and then wait a few years to re-introduce it to another unsuspecting generation of people. Knight Rider sucked then, it sucked now, it will suck in the future. If Knight Rider was a woman I'd marry it ten times over, but as for giving it screen time? Definitely not...

JSI 1/18 Scale F-14 Tomcat Announced
myk replied to Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
It's this one, although keep in mind that the bird in the photos has had some custom work done to it-the BBI version isn't as detailed. Looking at those photos is making it hard for me to put this up for sale... http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Gal5..._Doctor/00.shtm -
Alright! Shadow Chronicles FINALLY has some serious competition in the bad CGI department. So what's this story about anyway? Is it more of the "little ship that could?"

Good riddance...

JSI 1/18 Scale F-14 Tomcat Announced
myk replied to Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
This is a completed toy, just like all of those other monster 1/18 scale planes from BBI, 21st Century, Admiral Toys, etc. I have a few examples sitting around opened and in the box and they take up alot of room. Hell, I haven't even opened up my 1/18 F-18 because that thing is over 3 feet long. I'm actually gonna' try and sell it because it's so damn big and I'm just not into it... -
To me drifting is, like someone else here said, an exhibition sport. I do admire a drifter's ability to make a car do something that it really isn't supposed to and in a controlled manner, but only up to a point. I don't think drifting is "great," but personally speaking I'll take drifting over drag-racing or NASCAR any day of the week. No offense to anyone who likes that stuff, but you wanna' talk stupid there're two examples right there; driving in a circle or a straight line really really REALLY fast. Wow... The only car-sport-event I could really give a damn about would be Trans-Am/SCCA/road-course/auto-x racing, or whatever you call it. If you want a true test and display of man and machine it's gonna' be there; certainly not strictly driving in circles, lines or around traffic cones...
