  1. Moore's BSG was such a great work that of course, they have to put something completely inadequate beside it. Seriously, are there actually any fans of that capes-and-boots gayness that was the original series? I hope this goes straight to VHS...
  2. You know I wasn't sure about that, whether Baroness could still be controlled or not. Wow. I can't believe I'm actually "thinking" about this movie...
  3. Or a 6 pack of $.99 Wendy's double stackers. Yeah, hell it's a movie based on a toy line, so whatever it's a dead topic. When I saw it at a drive-in tonight with some friends which, was a total blast btw, I was more interested in debating which was hotter: Scarlett or Baroness. Scarlett for the mother-freaking win, I say... One thing made me laugh out loud at a seemingly random time though. There was a part where Duke was criticizing Ripcord for not reading the manual on the accelerator suits and I started thinking "ok, in ROTF the "black-bots" didn't read or ever cared to learn how to. In TROC we have another black character that didn't bother to read either. Is Hasbro trying to say something here?" J/K!
  4. They weren't. I think that people are so in love with the style of Aliens' storytelling in the 2nd movie that anything that isn't like the 2nd movie automatically loses in people's eyes. I bet that any alien movie featuring pulse rifles, smartguns, Marine-machismo, lotsa' explosions, Alien-caused-gore and most definitely twin robots who talk hip-hop will be a sure success...
  5. It might cost that much. Let's say the pump is worth 60 dollars, but that's BEFORE dealer/repair shop mark-up; that can almost be twice what the pump is worth. Then, typical shops, at least in California, charge anywhere from 90 to 100 bucks an hour for labor. So, if the pump ends up costing $150, and they take about 6 hours to change the pump, it really can cost $750. If taking 6 hours and $750 seems excessive, my '97 Camaro Z28 would've cost $1400 for a water pump change back in 2003. Luckily, I was able to do the work myself, but seeing how involved the work was (and I was in tears, I kid you not), I can easily see why it takes hours and hundreds for a shop to perform these services. What do we learn from this? Michael Bay sucks...
  6. You know I was just thinking about Ferraris. I forgot how much I loved the F-50 from over 10 years ago and, if I ever had the money and the lifestyle, blah blah blah, I would drive it every day. I've always loved how cars like the F-50 have a 4.7 liter, small displacement engine but have 12 cylinders and mega horsepower, lol...
  7. The vehicles, if you can even call them that, were dorky looking anyway. If some changes to the original designs are necessary to accomodate articulation, then I'm sure those wacky engineers will figure out a good compromise...
  8. If he's that insecure he'll lose her eventually to just about anyone with a pair...
  9. Eh. It's still $200 I'd have to fork out up front, as opposed to the spread-out paying of the season sets, and I would've had to have waited this long to watch the series on DVD at my leisure. Let the ultra-freaks buy that box set. That thing better come with your own programmable 6 hallucination or something...
  10. I'll put in a vote for the Narnia movies. Trying to read C.S. Lewis' books is a sure fire way to put you to sleep. You know, I used to be a MAJOR LOTR-film fan, but seeing how 90% of the movies takes place in slow-motion while Elijah Wood and the cast make silly faces I just don't care for the movies any more. I'll watch it for the charge of the Rohirrim in movie 3, but that's about it...
  11. Thanks to Exo, Gunbuster and everyone else for providing 'info and 'pics!
  12. Beagles, Lanterns, Toynami...who wants to see or hear about that stuff? Where are pictures of the zany cosplay chicks, eager to whore themselves out to anyone with a camera?
  13. So, this douche-bag wants a country's economy to collapse and millions to suffer so that he can watch gay Japanese cartoons from the 80's? Just when I think that I'm the most egocentrical person on the planet I hear about nimrods like this one...
  14. Oh hell no, he can KEEP that 2nd verse...
  15. Eek gads, the 4th movie was uncomfortable to watch, it was so bad. They changed waaaay too many details from the books and, I don't know, dumbed the whole thing down-where do I begin! Those of you who remember the 4th book and movie know what I'm talking about...
  16. Well, the only external hard points the 'Raven has is for those missile/bomb pod things so any air-to-air sex appeal would have to be customized. Btw, what are you looking for in a "complete" Raven? Fighter, driver, file card, blue prints, box, etc? Christ, I saw an X-19 MISB going for a thousand, or something...
  17. That's correct Dave, looking at my 'Ravens, the rear wheels' door should be pushed out at about a 45 degree angle when the wheels are down. The front gear door is almost parallel to the strut. If the doors "fall down" it's because they're missing a piece that the wheels push onto and thus lock into place when they go up. I could see the gear doors being loose when they come down, but personally I'd find that acceptable. Judging by what I see on Ebay I guess I lucked out on my birds...
  18. Dude. I was just gonna' make a mix tape for you, but whatever...
  19. It's actually "To punish and enslave," but whatever...
  20. It comes up every year or so. Anyway, just like every other year I will state that the Sharon Apple/Ghost X-9 would best any of the listed pilots on a 1 on 1 contest, provided that no ramming or cheap suicide tricks are allowed from the flesh and blood pilots...
  21. Oh wow, hey! That's it, thanks for finding it! I didn't know what year it was made so I didn't have a clue where it was...
  22. Lol. Criticizing 'Joe for "impractical, impossible, fantasy" designs is funny when you consider it's a cartoon we're talking about, but then again there're like 4,000 threads debating the viability of Valkyrie technology, so I digress. Yeah the Mamba just looks cool. I'm assuming the outer pods detach or something? Yojoe.com does have alot of pictures and stuff but not too much information on the toys themselves...
  23. It's actually a P-40, and TRUST me, it is a genuine 'Joe toy. I'll let the others chime in on this as I can't seem to find it on yojoe.com...
