  1. What's with the wingless Sand Serpent in the pictures, lol...
  2. Tokyo Drift was a great movie...for what it was. Lin's good at making "those" kinds of movies and that's fine, but this is certainly a direction that Terminator doesn't need to go. But, I'll echo what others have said about the Alien franchise which I ironically disagree with: all of the movies after the first two are a waste of time anyway. As far as I'm concerned, they can reboot Terminator all they want but the best years of that series are gone...
  3. Or the cost of the set. So has anyone seen the movies on blu-ray? How do they look?
  4. Dang I gotta see that episode. Also, Armed Force was my favorite up until I actually bought a Quick Draw, which wasn't until a few years ago. In all honesty I liked all of the vehicles that this series offered-hokey as they may be...
  5. Actually, didn't Jayce and Audric see each other from time to time through trans-dimensional mumbo-jumbo, only to be torn apart at the end of the episodes? Quick Draw FTW, btw...
  6. Lol, that's why "I" was always late for school...
  7. Lol, it's been posted before but my favorite trailer for the new Mazin-K is this one: First the evil mechs sexually assault the girl mechs, then the pilots of the evil mechs assault the pilots of the girl mechs. LOLZ....
  8. I can't argue with those points. My lift mechanism never functioned properly either-did it work for anyone? As for the wheel situation, you can see that the crawler's wheel assemblies have about a 1/8" thick piece of plastic holding them to the chassis to support all that weight, lol. I have my Defiant sitting on an upside down food service pan that is well concealed beneath the undercarriage of the crawler because those wheels would snap over time, for sure. Honestly, many of the 'Joe toys are great ideas with poor execution. The Tomahawk, WHALE, Rattler, and countless other vehicles are great designs but are grossly under-engineered. Nevertheless, if you can find clean examples of the Defiant and these other weak-structured toys they can be enjoyed as long as their faults are known and treated accordingly...
  9. Funny, the only big Joe thing I've ever owned is the Defiant. I had a chance to buy a boxed FLAGG but....a friend of mine told me it wasn't a complete hull, that it was a cut-away so as to give play options for the interior of the ship; I was disappointed and passed. I still maintain that the Defiant is on my top list for GI Joe or toy anything...
  10. I just thought he was a bad actor, period. I even hated the way he drank his beer-he "knocked it back" because he was trying to be so cool. I dunno I guess you'd have to watch him to see what I'm babbling about. I'm pretty sure this guy and Hayden Christensen went to the same acting school...
  11. Lol. I wonder if anyone makes or is planning retro 'cell phones. I'd love to walk around with a shoe box Zach Morris phone...
  12. I'm pretty sure both versions were released at the same time. If anything, I'm guessing the tail-hook setup was an earlier version that was replaced with the sliding lever; most of the X-19's that I know of have the sliding lever, including the very first one I bought back in....when the hell was that? lol...
  13. Curious-what type of landing gear lever do you have? My first X-19 had a lever that went in and out of the plane body. My newer X-19 has a lever that almost looks like a giant tail hook...
  14. Kinda reminds me of the Game Cube remake of Solid Snake, where in a cut scene Snake jumps in the air and bicycle kicks away a bunch of missiles being shot at him. I wouldn't say I despise the movie, rather I'm disappointed to see the spirit of the original series being crammed into a limited time format; it's almost like watching a slideshow or highlight reel of the action scenes from the original series. Then again, I'm one of those fans that never thought EOE or any other Evangelion works outside of the original "in-Shinji's-head" ending was necessary-I liked Eva just as it was all those years ago. If you wanna talk about despising something, I'll nominate Mari-her character stinks up the screen and is just an annoyance, IMO...
  15. You know what I gotta say I'm mildly intrigued. And that Cheetara was lookin' mighty fine...
  16. Keep in mind that the wing/gear set up is a gimmick to keep kids excited. Push a lever, watch the wings go out AAAAANNNNNNNNNDDDDD the wheels come down. Kinda bothered me, but I got over it really quick, as the rest of the plane is pretty cool. It's a big F14 toy so it's all good with me...
  17. Don't have cable, but I still gots my season 1 & 2 box sets...
  18. Lol...If they move the decimal over to the left one spot I'd consider buying it...
  19. You guys remember how the Night Raven's air brakes would come up when you dropped the landing gear? It'd be cool if they could do that with the new XP-21...
  20. Well it's all relative man. The '787 thing was funny, rather the actor playing Hitler was amusing, but I'm not one to care about passenger jets so......what'ev I guess...
  21. Sorry if this is a repost, but everyone on the GM and Ford boards can't get enough of this and if you're an ardent new-muscle fan this is just too hilarious: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXpECrDIHjc
  22. Wow this thing looks breathtaking on blu-ray. Also, I wish I had known this would be playing in theaters locally-looks like it was here a coupla months ago...
  23. Ha ha, I'll kill that debate right now. Vanessa Warfield was dating Brad Turner. Everyone knows a girl is worn and useless once she's been with a musician lol. Besides, Gloria's all sweet, pure and virginial. Who doesn't want a crack at ruining that? J/K...
