  1. I appreciate the input Thom. In any case, I bought some clay and tried to fashion my very own Amazonian princess who would be absolutely loyal to my bidding but it didn't work out...
  2. Her face, that hair, her Amazonian height, she really owns that role...
  3. Just got back from seeing this movie on a whim, and I'm glad I did. I don't think I've ever been more pessimistic about a movie, but after seeing it I can say that I've never been more suprised about how much I enjoyed it. Gal Gadot may not have the boobs or the butt that I think Wonder Woman should have, and her accent is off-putting also, but she is beautiful and she played the part of Diana so endearingly that you can't help but fall for her and the rest of the movie. I also LOVE what they did for the costume; somehow the update doesn't make a half-naked woman running through a battlefield seem corny like I thought it would. I could go on and on, but suffice to say this is one of my favorite superhero movies to date, right behind Ironman #1, Avengers and the Dark Knight Trilogy. Gal has made me a fan of herself and the movie. I do have questions, though:
  4. I'm certain 2199 will withstand the test of time. The original story by itself is timeless, and the animation/character design is beautiful. The ships, the planes, the GIRLS? 2199 is anime done right...
  5. That level of intensity brought about by competent acting and a gripping story is absent not only in Covenant but most movies today as well. Still a fan though!
  6. I thought the Neomorphs were cute...
  7. I wonder when that giant scale BINDing Non-Virgin Bunny girl is coming out...
  8. I dunno, maybe I'm too much of an Ailen fanboi for anything of that franchise to be wrong in my eyes. I contend that almost 30 years after the original Alien, we as fans of the sci-fi/horror genre have come to have high expectations, especially since we've seen and heard it all. I will be buying Covenant on blu ray as well...
  9. Let's rewind a bit to the part about Yuki losing her clothes?
  10. I totally forgot that they never released Starsha; a wasted opportunity indeed. They could've had her posed with her hand on her belly, the way we last saw her in '99 when it was implied that she got knocked up by whats-his-face...
  11. Love my AvP 2010. And you guys are cruel; Covenant wasn't THAT bad. It failed to capture the spirit or the effect of "Alien," but other than that Covenenat stands as its own uh...monster movie...
  12. The sets and designs of Prometheus and Covenant put Alien to shame, but somehow Alien has the superior story and experience for the viewer. Will someone please tell Hollywood it's not just about CG...
  13. Well, I'm about 11 years late to the party but I picked up a PSP. Well, two of them actually, a 1000 and a 3000 series model. So far I've got Gradius Collection, Afterburner for games with Macross Frontier on the way. I really want Parodius but it's just too expensive. Oddly enough I have about a half dozen UMD movies already. Any of you guys ever get into the PSP or maybe still mess around with it?
  14. Finally saw the movie. Well, some tried to say that this is the "Alien" movie for the new millenium. If that's the case, then I feel sorry for the new millenium. Covenant just doesn't carry the horror or the suspense of the original Alien. Covenant just feels like a standard monster movie with everyone doing stupid things and scrambling for cover. I think, like someone before me mentioned, that if the Alien was more shadow than actually visible then that would bring back a lot of the fear and the thrill of the original movie. Instead, they fully show the creature to bolster the gore effect, which is what this movie was clearly more concerned with. Overall I enjoyed it, but at this point they really should consider shelving the idea of trying to add on to the series, for good...
  15. ^^^Nice, but here's to wondering when the GX Chogokin 2202 Andromeda shows up...
  16. Sorry dad, we'll stop talking and go to bed now...
  17. Drugs again? I wish I could understand how all of that talent, money and fame would somehow lead you to narcotics and then your doom. Regardless, I loved his work and I'm shocked that he's dead at 52. Godspeed, man...
  18. Loved that iconic voice of his. I think my favorite character of his was the Roark guy in Sin City. Godspeed, sir...
  19. I don't know about you but I can't part with any of my collectibles, especially the girl-figures...
  20. If you want to avoid ordering figures you'll need to stay out of this thread. That's what I do when I need to cool it with ordering figures for a while to let the wallet heal. I'm probably going to order that figure you linked to though...
