  1. Do you think the RE100 line will work with the Gundam Builders hands: https://www.hlj.com/1-100-scale-builders-parts-ms-hand-02-zeon-metallic-color-bann11167 I got the 1/144 set for my Advance of Zeta HG kits.
  2. Nice finish. What do you think of the kit?
  3. Nope, this release is wrong as well. As for fixing the modex, you only need 1 decal for the tail and the decal sheet looks like it includes modex's for all 4 models. The are slanted to the appropriate side.
  4. More pictures, if anyone is interested It looks like the included decals allow you to fix the modex issue (and screw up the other side while you are at it). At least you have the choice...?
  5. Links for those who are interested: https://www.hlj.com/plaiobot-tengen-toppa-gurren-lagann-gurren-lagann-set88348 https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail?scode=TOY-RBT-5360&rank= 4200 Yen https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10685475 4050 yen
  6. Sentinel has announced a new line of plastic models, with the first release the Gurren Lagann. Poseability and options look great. Pre-painted chest and face included. Available for pre-order from the usual suspects. 1st release July 2020. From their blog: I participated as a staff member at the time of the original animation broadcast, Based on an arrangement by Tetsu Amemiya (TRIGGER) Designed by Chemical Attack Yoichi Sakamoto (FLAME TOYS). In the Priobot With the same shape as "RIOBOT Glen Lagann", T-REX is redesigned for Prybot. Glenn mark represented three-dimensionally, Solid shape of each part, Waist armor reminiscent of armor warriors , Like "RIOBOT Glen Lagann" The result is a plastic kit with a slightly different impression from the original design. https://ameblo.jp/sen-ti-nel-info/entry-12578460083.html
  7. If you plan on masking the parts in order not to paint everything, make sure you use good masking tape, like the ones made by Tamiya: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=tamiya+masking+tape&crid=3A73WBRAKY5U0&sprefix=tamiya+mask%2Caps%2C154&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_11 It comes in different widths and there is nothing more frustrating than removing masking tape and seeing paint bleed. Probably cheaper at your local hobby store (always support local, even during a pandemic). Also, make sure you have good ventilation and wear a particle mask. Most spray paints are toxic so don't risk your health. If you are looking for decals for markings there are a number of options online (these you can't get at your local hobby store). I don't have the Yamato set, but most toys have a smooth, glossy finish. You may want to consider using some high-grit sanding pads to rough up the surface. Something like 1000 grit or higher so as not to damage the surface. Roughing up the surface will help the paint adhere better.
  8. There used to be a lot of listing for the Marvel stuff on Ebay which were essentially factory rejects. Most of the reviews I saw had badly painted faces, cracked parts, etc. I would not be surprised if there are people in China buying up the factory rejects for the SH Monsterarts and selling those as well.
  9. I know the orange is there for contrast and it fits with the whole comic book esthetic, but it looks like Taskmaster is armed with Nerf toys.

  11. I was in Osaka last year around this time and one of the distributors had their garage door open and I saw piles of Bandai goods similar to this. I was bummed I could not walk in and soak it all in. Also saw a distributor with floor to ceiling gunpla stacked up.
  12. hmmm, tempting... if they are released weekly, you can save up to 2 months work and ship them all at once using the private warehouse.
  13. ToysTV reviews the Fast Packs, in Cantonese:
  14. Yup. PO night was yesterday. Got cartjacked 10 times but finally scored on AJ at 4:32 AM. I haven’t seen playasia post yet though. Got one on Amiami at 2:18 AM EST. NY's stupid wait system would't even let me on the site.
  15. Shipping notice from NY... ... for something that was released in November. Sorry, couldn’t resist. Happy holidays everyone and may the season be full of happiness and valkyries.
  16. Every video i've seen has been treating this thing very gingerly. This video goes through a lot of the gimmicks like the opening panels, etc. My storage area looks like that, then I buy something...
  17. Not quite, Bandai either wouldn't or couldn't open this up to most of us due to a party that won't be named. The skunkworks product would still take up factory time and they could probably do a worldwide offering with something else in their catalog, like Dragonball, that would absolutely pay itself off. Bandai outsources production of the Tamashii Nations stuff to China. They partner, but they do not own the factories. They own the factories that make Gunpla and they do that in Japan. I think that is why they decided to retool and release the 1/60 RX-93 as a "Metal Structure". They probably did the design (they have been talking about it for years), didi the analysis and realized that they would probably need diecast (the old 1/100 had diecast hips and legs) and over 2000 parts so it would not have been economically feasible to do the work themselves in their own factories, because of the opportunity costs and all the other Gunpla lines they would have to put on hold to output this thing.
  18. Why settle for 1/2 scale when you can make a working, life size version?
  19. Trailer 2: Looks fun.
  20. Here you go. Night and day. Just looking at the runners tell you how different this guy is compared to the NG.
  21. Got this today at the local Gunpla shop. Seems like it was released early in North America. It is a Christmas present so I have not built it yet, but the model looks excellent. Highly recommended and looking forward to other MGs using the same frame.
