Production of the kit got the green lights!

Once the new mold is complete I will PM each interested member for further instructions.

The kit's overall dimension and most parts assembly was based off an original Musasiya made VF-4 kit! It was then modified by first panel lining nearly all parts, a completely new nosecone sculpt, new pilot, new landing gears etc.

Will be heading over to the caster tomorrow to see how busy his schedule is, if the minimum quota of 10 interested parties is reached and my casting friend is free, work on the new mold can commence!

Found two MacrossWorld member made Macross themed t-shirts, which I bought a while ago but was unfortunately too big (US sizing is a tad bigger than Asian!).

_{It will be a real pain to build it, virtually no mistakes allowed when bending those brass parts, any re-bending will either snap it in two or create uneven surface. Another downside, it will look shiny only for a short time, a little oxidation and it will turn dull and agian almost impossible to clean!}

I think a local shop still has a few sheets of the official Yamato web-exclusive 1/48 waterslide decals for the VF-1, though it is only for the valk and I think they never released any for the Fast Packs!

Awesome stuff but I just cannot imagine any type of shipping will allow the whole diorama to arrive without any damages!

Some shops over here are selling them, like new ones (complete and boxed) go around US$220-250!

Honestly, out of all the Yamato "weathered" Macross items, the 1/60 Super/Strike Parts are the most rip offs!

You hardly can notice the weathering job and cost nearly twice or three times as much, might want to think getting a normal set and do the weathering yoruself!

The armor is fairly easy to find over here (Hong Kong), expect about US$80 shipped to the US and PayPal payment via their personal gift option!

I still have an original Macross Chronicles first release edition, comes with the brown shipping carton! The valk is mint, like new only taken out once to make sure everything is there!

Not to add insult to injury but a while back these (the two versions) were selling at slashed prices for like US$50 or so!

Welcome to the club! I did not make my pre-order for this valk thinking there will be plenty around, seeing it is BanDai. How wrong I am but no worry, as it is BanDai, there will be a re-issue, the first version was re-issued and newer valks, such as the YF-29 also saw a re-issue.

I am hoping BanDai will re-issue the VF-25S near the time of the release of the Super/Armor Packs!

Does it have to be the vintage Taka version or will the many various BanDai re-issues do?

I am not sure if there are any big difference between them but I have a re-issue good for parts!
