Neat stuff! Count me in for a set or two!
-
I believe there is a scheduled upcoming release list of all BanDai issued Macross Frontier model kits somewhere posted in one of the threads! As far as I can remember, the Fast Packs are to be sold later on in the new year, while no armour kits were announced!
-
Well, you will need to know that this is a model and cannot be handled like a toy. Since it is also a variable model, after a couple transformations scratched will bound to appear.
-
The completed kit belongs to another forum member. He commissioned it and I do not know the modeller personally. I heard that the valk might be featured in local Hong Kong monthly hobby magazine, so maybe then we will know who he is!
-
Well, here it is, a completed 1/72 VF-11 Full Armour! Kit was based on the 1/72 Hobby Base Retppu VF-11 kit with sculpted armour. Many thanks for the person, also a fellow member here in sharing these pictures with us. My kit is still in the primer stage and hoping to join in very soon, pose is slightly different with missile hatches closed and hands grasping the gun!

I have also bumped into a few people on the train playing the MAF. It has a strong fan following as it plays almost like those Gundam battle games, just much better! Most of the Hong Kong PSP gamers download the crack to play and I always wonder whether team play is still possible, anyone know?
-
Picked up the game yesterday and must say it got me hooked playing games again, just like the good old days of the PS2 Macross DYRL game! I will also trade in my PSP ver. 1 with the latest, newly released PSP ver. 3 today; will give you guys a review on it, whether it is worth trading in/buying or not!

Well, the hot water soaking time also depends on the size/thickness of the resin part.

Coming soon: The return of the 1/72 SF-3A Lancer II

Sorry guys for opening up a can of trouble in regards to the clear canopy mod , so I am more than happy to lend a hand in any possible way! Of course, I am still interested in one to two kits -
What type of plastic is a YF-19 made of, and how do you glue it?
Valk009 replied to David Hingtgen's topic in The Workshop!
If you are talking about the Yamato 1/60 YF-19, your best bet is to ask Graham. When he showed us the prototype he mentioned that Yamato used various plastics and some fins were out of a new kind of plastic, very tough, yet flexible. i believe it is called "POM". -
Been away for a while and only saw this thread today, really two thumbs up! The original VF-11 kit was never that great to start with, the original sculptors never gave much love to it, using existing Bandai model parts to save time. Good to see that with the Kaiyodo Revoltech ball joints, one can really make a good looking battroid out of it, makes me want to dig out my kits to build one

Printer-wise, as long as you are not printing white or anything in metallic, go for a good colour laser printer. An excellent ink jet will also do the job, just rememeber to clear coat it though after printing as you do not want the colour to fade when soaking the decals in water! In regards to the decal papers, well, over here there are limited choices and I usually stick with the ones from WAVE. there are some chinese or taiwanese ones but the paper seems to be thicker, not to mention the backing paper is white, making white decals hard to see! If you need to print white and those fancy metallic colours, then your choice is pretty limited to Alps printer.

Coming soon: The return of the 1/72 SF-3A Lancer II

Count me in for one or maybe even two! Ever thought of updating the kit by putting in real canopy? -
All original SHE Macross kits come with the necessary screws. However you will need to accquire some polycaps, which can prove a task. They are specific WAVE made ones aqnd have been long discontinued. Last but not least, as far as I know, the only SHE recast ever made was the VF-4 All SHE Macross kits use the same polycaps, if you can tell me how many of the large and small ones you need I might be able to help you as I should still have some recast ones!

Kamjin...yeah, count me in for 2 please and I am already starting to droll about the Glaug!
-
Have only ideas on the VF-11 fighter modifications but nothing physical yet. Still very busy at work and trying to complete the painted VF-11 Full Armour, which is closeto finish but left in a corner for weeks if not months now!
-
Completing the game in as many "S" ranks the better as it will unlock more valks to choose from!
-
Yep but not anytime soon, maybe in a few months time. It will not be a scratch build but a modification on an existing kit, most likely the 1/72 Hobby Base Rettpu kit as I believe it is one of the nicer ones around and has sufficient room for improvement! The VF-11 I am planning to release will also have the option of a two-seater for a training fighter as well as maybe a "Elint Seeker" fighter, complete with all the surveillance trimmings!
-
Few kits still available and I am close on finishing a completed and fully painted kit!
-
Planning to buy at least one of the three different company released Armour Rider, so which one is the best?
-
Thanks guys for all the help, will give a few a try!
-
Nloticed that some of my older toy collection, especially white plastic parts have started to yellow slightly I know this is due to the nature of the plastic in reaction with UV light etc. but was wondering if it could be removed as I believe this is only on the surface and not throughout the entire piece. Can it be either bleached or carefully polished off with very fine sandpaper or polishing compound? I am open to all comments and solution

Could it be that BanDai are only re-issuing the standard VF-1J Hikaru, VF-1J Max & Millia and VF-1S Focker is because they do not have the licenses for the other valks? The VF-1S Strike Hikaru, VE-1, VT-1 are all from the DYRL animation!
-
Most Gundams (besides a few, such as the F90 and F91) are a little bigger than the VF-1, so 1/100 Gundam hands fits pretty neat on 1/72 VF-1's; they will look oversized on 1/100 valks though!

Latest updates! All of the pre-orders have been shipped out today and should arrive within a week's time!
