Hi guys, I have got quite a few request since posting up this thread regarding these glass portraits. My friend and I are thinking of making a small run for interested parties but it will all depend on the amount of interest, time, price etc... We will also be accepting commission works in a later stage! As for now, have a look at some of our other works and will get back very soon with prices for the pieces! Here is Rei from EVA!

The draft was scanned into the computer, edited and modified as some desgins cannot be mad due to the nature of the glass. Then comes the fun part, carving into the glass This is a real trial and error situation as sometimes when you think you got it right the glass just cracks right in front of your eyes and it is all over again Success rate is a good 70% The small Minmay portrait was pretty straight forward and got it in one go but the bigger version took us three times!

The portrait is actually carved/cut into the glass and the "frosted" effect to create shadows and highlights were done by using acid!

Hi guys, A friend of mine, together with me have been working on this little gem for quite some time now (mostly weekends) and now it is finally done! What do you guys think? The first one measures 20 x 20 cm and the second one 20 x 30.

You people list that there are two variants of the new Hasegawa Super/Strike combo. It came out a months or two ago but never got a cvhance to take a look at it up close. I only know of one, so what does the other look like?

Hey guys, Just wanted to share the good news that some new Macross toys have just hit the stores over here on Friday! The Yammie produced Millia and the Seika made Minmay in Flashback 2012 dress and Mylene! I personally think they are all "so so", Minmay looks the best though!

As far as I know there are three versions out there, two of them legit Japanese release by Victor and the last a boot by a Taiwanese company called SM. The one you refer with the special cardboard outer case is one of the legit version and was the first pressing very very and almost impossible to find nowadays! Valk009

Hi to all you model/resin pros! Just starting to venture into resin territory (an SD YF-19) and would like to know what glue to use? I basically know the rest...lots of clean-up, sanding, filling out gaps etc... but not too sure about the glue...will normal model glue (those little bottles with the clear stuff in it, which also gets you high) work? Rohby does a great recast for the Bandai SD Joke machine and it comes with all different heads. He might be able to help you out!

Don't worry UK stuff are mostly PAL and I have one of those machines which will play anything...all region, PAL, NTSC, bootleg, original, DVD-R, CD-R, porn...ooops did I say porn ?

Another good point to look at is the BIG WEST sticker. Only original BIG WEST endorsed products will carry the stickers.

I am planning on getting the Macross Plus OVA DVD 4 part set but am torn between the UK and US release The UK set offers a neath 3 discs box set, cost less than the US counterpart but only comes in Japanese with English subs. On the other hand, thge US release comes in two parts (boxes), little more expensive but has English dub...so my question is...is the additional English dub any good?

Give Noel (aka Blackaces) a PM, i think he has some other variants at his store. A completed plastic model or resin kit will even bump up the price twofold if not more! Another option would be the Yamato made YF-19 or 19A toys.

Finally a Minmay in the Flashback concert dress, she actually looks halfway decent too! Mylene on the other hand looks a bit funny, especially the mouth.

I was quite in a rush but besides the SD YF-19 they also had the SD VF-1S. I will take a look the next time I go by. So, btw anyone know if the original came with any decals?

Hong Kong, where else do you think you can get great bootleg stuff I do not support bootlegs but there are just times where you cannot get the original anywhere else or if you do you have to pay through your nose!

I just found a place where they sell a whole wide range of anime recast resin kits and was able to pick up a Tanmen's SD YF-19. The quality of the recast is superb, no bubbles and a very smooth finish! My only question though is did the original come with a decal sheet as my recast did not. If it did, does anyone have it who might able to scan it for me so that I might be able to ask Devin to make me a sheet?
