  1. I got a loose, white andtight jointed VF-1A Max, the only issue is that it is missing one leg armour. Have been searching ages for a spare and ended giving up.

Make me an offer I cannot refuse, will post a pic of it later on!

  2. Series 1 will not be easy to come by and even if you manage to find a set or individuals, be prepared to pay accordingly!

Series 2 and 3 are easier to find and many places still have them at reasonable prices. Shops in Hong Kong still offer them (the last I can remember) for roughly US$30-35 a set without the chase. I believe Ebay also offers similar deals!

  3. If you cannot find original spares, you might want to construt them yourself with some acrylic plastic boards. they come in different colours and thickness. Since you are only after a very small piece, scrap pieces should suffice, cut it into shape, sandpaper the angle down and a good buff for the shine and it will look just like the real deal!

  4. Been away for a while and only saw this thread today, really two thumbs up!

The original VF-11 kit was never that great to start with, the original sculptors never gave much love to it, using existing Bandai model parts to save time. Good to see that with the Kaiyodo Revoltech ball joints, one can really make a good looking battroid out of it, makes me want to dig out my kits to build one ^_^

  5. Printer-wise, as long as you are not printing white or anything in metallic, go for a good colour laser printer. An excellent ink jet will also do the job, just rememeber to clear coat it though after printing as you do not want the colour to fade when soaking the decals in water!

In regards to the decal papers, well, over here there are limited choices and I usually stick with the ones from WAVE. there are some chinese or taiwanese ones but the paper seems to be thicker, not to mention the backing paper is white, making white decals hard to see!

If you need to print white and those fancy metallic colours, then your choice is pretty limited to Alps printer.

  6. No trying to had sell you my complete set, but your best bet is to really to purchase the whole set. Of this series, the fighter modes are the most sought after, especially the YF-19 and VF-1J's. If you are lucky enough to find one, it will cost you around $10-15 shipped. This for one fig, while the whole set cost only in around $50'ish, which you can then sell the unwanted ones!

  7. The VF-1A Max is actually in excellent condition, no yellowing. It has a few stickers applied and the only thing isthat it is missing the leg armour. No plans in selling it yet, unless I find a better replacement!

With with the different colour leg part, well give this thread some more time and if things do not change I might consider your spares and will settle for a repaint!
