Hi Newbie, should put this post on the "For Sale" section I just recently sold one on behalf of my friend for US$150 shipped and unbuilt, so yours should fetch a little less. The YF-21 from SHE is not as popular as the YF-19, nevertheless it is still one great piece. Try to sell it here on MW or on Ebay but be warned though that since you are a newbie it might not be that easy Gotta build up your reputation or else you might get plastered by many members here as some has suffered bad transactions! Just by reading this gives me a headache and brings back up nightmares! I built one ages ago when my modelling skills are not that great (now they are little better but still miles apart from some of our pros here on MW) and it took so long and the final product was so bad and ugly that it went straight to the bin You will need lots of tlc on this little baby! Yep YF-19 Fast Packs by UN Balance! No scale was mentioned but guessing it will be for the Hase 1/72 model kit as they did the Fold Booster for it the last time round And with any luck I should be able to get hands on a few set too ...fingers crossed Andy

I checked out the catalogue yesterday and although it is very big and thick, filled with lots of Japanese, which I cannot understand, I was only able to locate a few Macross items One thing I know to appear are Fast Packs for the YF-19 by UN Balance No scale has been mentioned but lets hope it is in 1/72 for the Hase kit Andy Added info: If I recall correctly the YF-19 are located in section A06 or A08...Noel get your hands their early and make pics!

Yep, taking it slow as AlphaHX suggests is the best route I hardly paint my models nowadays, unless they are really special ones and if your preparation and sanding skills are good, a pre colour-molded kit can look fab without any seams or whatsoever! The trick is to glue the parts with model cement until some glue oozes out (the cement actually works by melting the the plastic pieces). Then start with sanding from coarse to fine and finish off by using polish paste, again from coarse to fine. The end result will actually look really great! Btw, your attempt on the transformable valk is quite good, since it is a hand job and not a blow job If I can choose, blow job is always my favourite! Andy

Do your homework much in advance as there are places out there (yes in the States and not only in Japan or Hong Kong) where a 1/48 Yammie can be had as little as $70, new! Andy

That is so true what Graham said...buy only from HLJ if you are not in a hurry! I remember ordering a t-shirt from them as a gift for my friends birthday. I ordered it like three weeks in advance and choose the more expensive EMS option Man was that a mistake...it took them nearly 5 weeks to get the item sent from Japan to Hong Kong and I ended up buying something else for my friend There is a consolation prize though as I am wearing the t-shirt now Andy

Okay, I know it is not an original but by the looks of it nobody has mentioned it, it is a 1/72 VF-1S Super in battroid mode by 3 Men In A Hidden Forest I believe! Sorry for the poor pic (mobile phone camera) and the shop owner was not that thrilled either

I atually got a very rare recast of the Three Bad Men VF-1S battroid and it looks fab The style is different than of the Bandai or Hase kits!

Okay, thanks guys for the info! Looks like the Dragon made F-117A is my best, not to mention most inexpensive route Now, need some more help...where to get the kit cheap! There is one on Evilbay and the Seller is asking US$9.99 for the kit and another $9.99 to be shipped overseas, which is imo daylight robbery I did some quick search on the net and found a place or two selling the kit at below US$3.00 a pop. Some do not ship overseas while I am still waiting estimate cost on one retailer. Now...the big question, has anyone got one spare lying at home? I actuallly just need the pilot, so I will pay for the whole kit at reasonable price but you just need to send me the pilot! Andy PS I will also take the pilot of the Arii/Imai 1/144 kits if anyone is willing to part with them

Thanks Phil! Will do a quick search on Ebay. The external layout of the Yellow Submarine is fairly good, so the Dragon F-117 kit sounds good with the more detailed pilot! Andy

Hmmm...interesting but the scale is 1/170 a little too small. Anyways, I will check it out just hope those old kits do not cost an arm or leg Andy

I just started to build a Yellow Submarine 1/144 VF-1S Strike in fighter mode. The kit comes with either a solid resin canopy or a vacuum formed one. I plan on using the vacuum formed one, have the landing gears up and diplay it in flight mode. However there is one little problem, the kit does not come with a pilot I know there are many model fanatics out there, so anyone of you guys came across a kit or optional crew set in 1/144 scale with a pilot figure which I can sort of use as a Macross pilot? Any link or even suggestion would be great Andy
