  1. I do not think that there is much you can do about it You have to know that the toy is at least few years old, one of the first Macross toys by Yamato (which are not half as good as say the newer stuff, such as the 1/48 line) and god knows how the previous owner stored it. Best bet is either not to play with it anymore or strip off all the paint and repaint it again with some better adhesive paint
  2. Had some discussion with die hard Macross fans the other day and the topic of SD Macross kits came up. Apparently in JAFCON '93 a limited event edition of a SD SDF-1 in Cruiser mode resin kit was for sale. Anyone ever heard of this rare kit or have pics of it?
  3. Yeah...the movie got release early this year in Japan and arrived in Hong Kong over the Easter holidays I went and saw it and I must say it is quite good, perhaps not my favourite Miyazaki work but heard others saying that it is much better than his last movie, Spirited Away! Anyways, just my two cents but nevertheless it was an enjoyable two hours
  4. Ahhh...so a little kick in the butt and I can get what I want Just kidding, thanks a lot guys, will have to somehow convert a pic into a halfway decent looking logo Thanks again, I will take more if there are still any
  5. Come on ...anyone with a pic Andy
  6. Ha...little late my dear friend! Most stock here are all dried up ages ago. Every now and then though, if you are lucky, you will be able to pick one up but at inflated prices. Most common are the Millia Super 1J and Hikaru Super 1J, priced at around $150, I did miss out on the reissue Max 1A a few months back at $90
  7. Hi guys, I am in search of pics, still shots, linearts or anything useful of the Daedelus attack maneuver, which can be used as an avatar similar like the one I am having. Thanks in advance!
  8. Yep...Nevoa is still alive and doing well...just got banned using internet for personal use during working hours and his computer at home is down, hence all the "no reply's" lately!
  9. Yep...those are the ones! Thanks guys, can always rely on my MW buddies Andy
  10. Hi guys, I remember seeing a post way back with a link to a website, which sells aftermarket decals, especially the ones with "day glow" or "glow in the dark" effects! Anybody still have the link or know where to get them? All help is appreciated Andy
  11. Yep, Grayson72's way is the way to go! And if you want to get a really cool finish, after the first clear coat you will need to buff the kit with very fine polish, this will result in the edges of the decals to vanish, giving it a really real and natural finish After that a last coat of clear coat to seal the deal
  12. It also depends whether you have the Fast Packs for it. Just the YF-21 alone, about $200 sounds right, at least that was how much I sold my friends one a few months back!
  13. I believe 2,000 is correct as I have heard/seen it too. Most of the Hasegawa limited kits have a run of between 2,000 to 5,000, I guess depending on demand. Minmay Guard had a run of 5,000 while the Low Vis, Max & Millia 1J's and the Wedding 1D only had a run of 3,000 each! If you go to Hasegawa's web page they will tell you on the quantaty released! Andy
  14. There is always the ueber rare Thread toy or called something like that
  15. Thanks Hikuro! I actually already have the Luke ROTJ and Vader's FX lightsabers but see people mentioning that there is a 3 AA batteries version. I know the original released ones were not exact and true to the original, mainly a little fatter hilt to equip all the electronics and batteries.
  16. Just curious, are there new FX Lightsabers from Masters Replica? it seems like the new ones (or re-issues) use only 3 AA batteries instead of six. Well if it is true, are the new ones more true to the original movie lightsabers as in size and dimensions?
  17. The guy does have a quite nifty minature VF-1 Strike or Elint in pewter! The thing has some detail even though being so small Click Here!
  18. If you are getting it recasted by Hobbyfan, make sure that they are using an original for recast and not a recast as it will severely affect the the quality, not only the shrinkage in size but also the detail Just looking out on fellow members since we are talking big bucks here!
  19. The discount is great but without the diecast parts the valk will sag due to weight after some time Also, does the price include shipping as it is not a light and shipping from Hong Kong can add another $30-40 to the total!
  20. The joints can be quite fragile, especially after a few movements. The kit is supposed to be poseable but in long term a fixed position will be the best way to go Andy
  21. Okay, here goes my PSP collection! Console: - PSP, of course! Case: - Porter/Sony crossover limited edition Pictogram case Games: - Bleach - Metal Gear Acid - Untold Legends - Dynasty Warriors Movies: - Biohazard 1 - Biohazard 2
  22. Got the Vader and Luke ROTJ Master FX light sabers They are really awesome but my girlfriend thinks I am a nut whenever I start playing with them around the house Andy
  23. Out of topic but still Gundam miniature toys related! How come I see not much interest in the BanDai HCMPro Gundam line and all I hear is the MISA line? To be honest are the HCMPro line in comparisson more articulated and better value for money? Just curious, Andy
  24. Hey, can't let this cool kit slip into the second page of the "Model Secton" So, any updates Andy
  25. The special coating is a gimmick from the companies to make you buy more kits Well, in the case of the BanDai model you referred to, it was actually released to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Macross. These special coating kits look only good in the box and quite horrible when built in my opinion as there will be marks on the cuts bits, where it was joined with the sprue and gaps! Stick to the regular kits, especially the re-issued 1/72 variable BanDai ones can be found at very reasonable prices everywhere Andy
