  1. Nice job on the Monster! Btw, are those 1/72 Hase VF-1's in the background? I see the one on the right seems to have gone through some kind of custom job (missing some body panels)
  2. Btw, I know of some member here who has recasted the metal parts for this kit and apparently still has a few sets left...so for those die-hard fans, maybe you can give him a PM The member is Blackaces (hope you do not mine Noel, me trying to make business for you )
  3. I go to Korea quite frequently on business and I must say that there are not many anime shops around...at least the places I go There are some shops in the COEX Mall (situated on the south side of the river and right above the "Samsung"metro station). But be warned beforehand though that the prices in Korea for imported goods are very high! I Hasegawa model will cost you at least US$30-40!
  4. Need some advice and views guys I am planning to pick up one of those many variations of PS or PS2 Super Robot Wars, any suggestions on which is the best one? I heard the original on PS and the latest one on PS2 are the best...but how about those "alpha" variants, btw what are the differences?
  5. I do not believe the Fujiko figure Gozilla is after is from Medicom. Here is a pic of the entire collection of Lupin III's 12inch figures released by Medicom. The Fujiko pic by Gozilla looks far better in any way
  6. Just had a chat with one of G-Systems supplier and apparently their mold for the 1/48 kit is exhausted and the original kit is long gone. It will take them some time to track down a kit for recast!
  7. Just to make your life easier, I believe a member here called Rohby used to make recast parts for the 1/55 Macross toys. There are of course others too, but just cannot remember the names right now

    VF-X & VF-X2

I have the VF-X2 import version for sale but seems like the copy version is already available As for the Macross Plus game, as far as I know, Graham has one for sale...brand new and still originally shrink wrapped Perhaps give him a PM whoever is interested
  9. Ha...might as well join in So, how is the progress doing, summer is nearly over...pool water is getting cold and kids need to go back to school
  10. Hmmm...guess my Japanese is after all non existenz So, it is this other company who is releaseing the FY-19 with Fast Packs all in one go, not to mention it is a battroid mode and not fighter mode. Any idea if one of our members here got lucky this time round with the Liquid Stone kit?
  11. Noel is already in Japan, so we will be bound to get another great report Now the only question is, will he be attending Wonder Festival or the other big hobby convention (a joint venture of JAF Con and something else). Those Japanese had to put the two greatest hobby conventions on the same day
  12. Just got a chance yesterday to flip through the Wonder Festival catalogue yesterday! My Japanese is non existing but did manage to notice that S.H.E. will be re-releasing the variable YF-19 with Fast Packs... ...Liquid Stone will also be selling their version of the variable YF-19 at a whopping Yen30,000 Does anyone else know what Macross items will be on offer?
  13. While talking about the SDF-1 cruiser in mode, anyone have the SDF-1 in attacker mode kit for sale? Original or recast will do
  14. Hey Goshawk, nice work there you got going! Now I know why you have been stocking up on kits
  15. Try giving www.1999.co.jp, I know they once offered the service of getting spare parts from kits too!
  16. Are those bases already for sale or are the pics CAD drawings? I would immediately get a few Btw, can the base be made hollow (less weight, less shipping cost and the end user can add weigh afterwards if it is planned for supporting a valk in fighter flight mode).
  17. After seeing so much queries on this I asked my friend in regards to the authenticity of the kits. They were purchased back in the early '90s at JAFCON (now called Hobby something). The design is not much to write about and the main sculpt and dimensions were based on the model kit, of course with modifications! Although his collection is not what it used to be anymore, he is more than happy to share the pics and for use as reference in the model archive on Macrossworld.
  18. Haha...well, those kits are technically not mine, just selling them on behalf of myu friend. He has over 3,000 kits (original and recast) of all types dating back to the late '80s...he is just trimming it down a little As far as I know or what my friend told me, the Glaug and Regult are very limited and only appeared in the first or second JAF CON event. He still has a few surprises...such as a fully variable 1/12 Cyclone bike resin kit form the Mospeada series...a 1/4 Macross pilot helmet...a 1/72 Zentradi soldier resin kit...and more!
  19. Well, with all those high Ebay fees and then later on the PayPal fees for some...btw you can lose up to 15% of your final sale price; it is no wonder that people come up with all kinds of tricks to avoid these fees!
  20. Here is a pic I pulled off earlier from Yahoo Japan (hope the owner does not mind ).
  21. Any pics of the con? Eager to see who attended and what was on display
  22. That puzzle was from many years ago! I doubt it that any retailer will still have them in stock, even if they do, for sure not at retail price. The last set I saw was for more like $80-90 bucks and used, gotta count all pieces before parting with your cash G-System in Hong Kong has one framed and for sale but at ueber people price, like $250!
  23. To HWR MKII: I am not sure if they will just sell me the waterslide decals on its own but I will ask! I do see them offering the photoetched parts for around $25, so I do not see a problem in just getting the decals To jorawar_b: Currently the shop has two sets on sale/display but says that more can be ordered; turnaround time is give or take 2 weeks. As far as I know, there is no minimum order but just hoping that the more kits ordered will give me more bargaining power for lower price
  24. Okay, here is how the kit looks like! The cast is nice and crisp with all details still there where it should be and there are no signs of warping. The instructions are nicely photocopied and bound together, waterslide decals and photoetched parts are also present.
  25. Hi guys, Located a shop in Hong Kong with stock of the 1/48 Club-M recast and able to get more. The cast is done by a reputable comapny in Hong Kong called "Hobby Club" and the kit comes with waterslide decals, photoetched parts, vacuum formed canopy and quality resin with harden resin for the wheels. In struction manuals is also neatly bounded. The cost of it is at the moment $280 excluding shipping and PayPal fees. the price is straight from the shop but maybe can get it lowered if there are more orders. Also combined shipping to one address in the States should further reduce the cost. Let me know, if there are any interested parties!
