  1. I just recently found out that some of my original Macross resin kits at storage got water damaged. They are all 100% original with all accessories (unless otherwise specified), instructions, decals etc. Luckily these survived the water as they were all packed in bags.

These kits are great for those wantimg to build them rather then collecting!

    - 1/72 Club-M YF-19 Fighter, asking US$100 shipped

    - 1/144 Yellow Submarine VF-1X Fighter With Launch Base (but no figure), asking US$50

    - 1/4000 Yellow Submarine SDF-1 Cruiser Mode, asking US$200

    - 1/4000 Yellow Submarine SDF-1 Attacker Mode, asking US$220

Preferred payment is PayPal and all prices includes PayPal fees (can be deducted if payment is sent as "gift") and worldwide first class shipping with tracking.

There could be a few more kits (but I really hope not), so thread will be updated!

  2. Yeah, BanDai went on the cheap again and issued the variant silver coloured version in the secon or third release of those Kuji lucky draw prizes.

Just beware of knockoffs of inferior quality as I remeber those being availble for a fraction of the price but with horrible paint job!

  3. You might want to contact Cesiry directly! I think some members here know him on a personal basis (aka Blackaces, though a long time ago) and you can then buy his stuff straight away avoiding those high Yahoo Japan agency fees!

  4. I was the one who did the revised version based off an original Musasiya kit, new nosecone, landing gears, pilot etc.

The kit is all sold out but if there is sufficient interest I could make a new mold for it. For this I need at least 10-15 confirmed buyers.

  5. Well, got my hands on the new 1/3000 SDF-1 so looking for my next purchase.

The regult seems like another expensive buy, so for the ones who have it already, is it worth it? Very very tempting but I mean it cost more than the SDF-1 or shall I wait a little while longer and hope that Yamato will come out with a fully painted version?

  6. The 1/60 version should be fairly easy to locate and cost roughly in the region of US$80-100 before shipping.

The 1/48 is a whole other ball game. It was a Macross Chronicles mail order only special (collect two coupons within two designated issues and mail it in with the fee and shipping cost). This campaigned ended already ages ago and was only for residents of Japan. Judging on poor sales of the previous Macross Chronicle special, the 1/48 VF-1A Max TV style. Not many of these exists, about a few hundred. Factoring in the initial cost of the two magazines, cost of the valk, local shipping to Japan you are already at around US$200 the minimum before any other shipping cost and making some profit!

  7. Just as the title says, I am in search for the Nichimo made 1/15000 scale SDF-1 model, either in cruiser and/or battroid mode.

I do not need the vinatge version, the re-issue, two in one will be great, plan on building it anyways. If anyone has one to let go, give me a PM!

  8. Are there any reviews for the VF-27? I'd like to own some version of it and the price looks too good to pass up... Especially considering how much a DX 1/60 can go for. But my biggest concerns are durability and if there's any resale value for an assembled kit should I decide I need to part with it down the road. The whole "assembly required" thing doesn't bother me too much, I have way too much free time.

The BanDai Macross F model kits are failry durable though you should still treat it with respect as it is still a model kit and not a toy. Unless you will paint the kit like a pro and keep it in mint condition, built model kits do not command good resale value.

If you already have in mind in parting with it later on and hoping to get back most of your investment, I would suggest you to stay away from it.

  9. I am not a fan of the TV style SDF-1 but what I would like Yamato to do or well initilayy maybe also include it with the DYRL style SDF-1 are the battle damaged main cannons (perhaps by making them removable for a quick swap!).

This would not involve a new design and mold for an entire toy, just a couple of parts and would for sure be within their budget!

  10. Picked mine up today and must give Yamato two thumbs up! They really went all the way for this and it is just plain awesome, very well built and super sturdy, way up there with the VF-1 v2.0.

Btw, for those living in Hong Kong, the shop owner selling all the Yamato toys in In's Point told me that wholesaler are all out of stock on the SDF-1, so better get your hands on one before it is too late! Sad news also is that he will be closing shop in March, due to his day job he has no time looking after the shop :(

  11. Sorry for hijacking your thread ActungMacross just want to clarify that indeed SMS is a Hong Kong based resin recast company, where all kits are manufactured in China using low qulaity resin. All their kits come in a fancy box, so are very desireable with people who rather collect kits than build them! True model builder tend to saty away from SMS made kits as the resin used is harder to work with.

To be honest, nearly all kits coming from Hong Kong, China and Taiwan are recast from original Japan or Korean kits!
