I think that they do look pretty good, the only one that I don't dig is the Baroness' glasses it's freaking huge Harry Potterish. Waiting for Zartan to show up now. I'm crossing fingers for Quick Kick.

I still like these 25th anniversary versions, the details finally look updated compared to the new 3 3/4 that's been coming out the last few years. I'm kind of over the re-issue of the original 3 3/4 Joes, they already did something kind of similar in the late 90's with the main characters in 3 packs but with some modified colors. I do have one issue....what's up with Storm Shadow's slippers? He's a freaking master ninja ready to kill in the name of Cobra and not about to drink a mai tai at the local beach.

So anyone watch the recently released The Invincible: Iron Mad animated movie? I just saw it today and while I thought it was much better than the two Ultimate Avengers movie, the animation was kinda faux-Saturday morning-like that didn't feel like a "feature". The trailer made it look like Tony used a lot of the armors but he only had three in the movie, the gray version, underwater and the red/gold. The war machine, ultimate avenger-types shown in the trailer were just shown briefly in a hall of armors. The story seemed a bit rushed trying to fit in the Mandarin plot as well as a company takeover plot/fugitive arc. I do wish Iron Man would've shown a lot more gadgets and weapons though. What I was really impressed with is the Dr. Strange trailer showing the intro to the movie which had a bit tighter animation and better editing. Too bad it doesn't come out til August 07.

1/60. Price wise you can build an army more than if it were made in 1/48.

Hot diggity that looks tight. I will def. get that even though I have no money. p.s. What's that Low Viz 1/48 box about in the lower right corner of the page?

I have the Matchbox re-issue and it's just like how I remembered it. It's big heavy and bulky and un-poseable. You can move the arms up or down, that's it and the thing is unstable and will fall unless you prop it up. My friend has both the Matchbox and the Toynami and I got to say the Toynami looks good and the proportions in robot mode looks great. I know people com[plain about the lion dimensions but when you pose it in your display it will be in robot mode the majority of the time and that mode looks good.

Yes, thanks for the info. I did get the Alex pilot last year when that female Gundam PVC set came out since I like getting the Gundam characters in their flight uniforms. I wish they got Bernie or the kid made as well.

baronv replied to Dangard Ace's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Well, I hope the prime trucks they end up making an all black "Scourge" version. -
Thanks Major Tom, that thing is da bomb. I'm into collecting PVCs of Gundam characters. I wish they made some for the War in the Pocket of Bernie and the kid and from o8th MS Team.

Ooh nice I've been wanting the SV-51 since I'm not interested in the 1/48 two-seaters at all since I like the 1/60 scale more. Wonder how long til the Nora paint scheme comes out, hopefully before the end of his year, I'm digging the yellow and pink-tastic look!

Nice work. Looks good and tight.

Transformers Super Thread 4: The Return
baronv replied to Dangard Ace's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
So those two images of the prototype toys, the Primes looks different. One's kinda tall and gangly and the other is kinda hefty. Is the one shown with Megatron the clost-to-final version? -
Oh snap Major Tom, where did you get that Zabi family figure set. Are they gashapons, PVCs?
-
Wolfpack looks nice, reminds me of the VF-11B.
-
I say why not, they'll need to figure out a way to re-package the valks anyways why not a "panel-lined" version. I would like to see the 1/60s VF-1S with panel lines, maybe a darker shade of white or something.

Display Your Collections...
baronv replied to bryan_f_davis@yahoo.com's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Wow sci70716 you have one great display case there, very professional. -
I'm actually winding down my collection slowly, I made some multiple 1/60 valks purchases in the last few years to mod but then I just suck at painting and such that I've sold some on MW and eBay. I just ran out of room storing them, right now I'm getting ready to sell some of the Toynami valks (VF-1S and Max FAST pack) since I don't like having 2 Roy 1/60 VFs and a 1/48 as well of his, I'm over the having all variations of the same toy. So I'm pairing down my entire toy collection that I don't LOVE as well as my other previous hobbies (animation cels, martial arts weapons, video games) etc. and selling them off and hoping to be able to get an upgraded home theatre system instead.

WHile I like the TF a lot, this trailer didn't wow me at all. Looked like standard scf-fi with robots to me. Hedck the trailer for TF: The movie cartoon was better.
-
Nice, please post pics when you are able to with the valk in a plain background so we can see all the details.

I tried to do a search on the previous topic I saw last year on recommended FREE anti-virus program to download as a replacement to my Norton anti-virus program which the subscription to is ending. DO you have one in particular you are using that is a good freeware program that also updates it's virus definitions regularly? Thanks.

Looks good VFRF1, your valks just need their stickers on and panel lined.
