The latest Q&A from Hasbro still hasn't cleared up the smokestack issue, but they've confirmed that the US version will also have diecast, something far too many people had been doubting for some reason, and that the US version will have the battle damage. The wording of the answer makes it sound a lot like the US version only will have the battle damage, not the Japanese one. Here's hoping.

Which is why I wasn't talking about problems such as yours. An HLJ calender is a good idea. They seems to have an enormous number of holidays so it really would be a good idea to know in advance when they are.

I've probably ordered from HLJ about 20-30 times over the past few years and I've never had a problem with shipping, either via SAL or EMS. Almost without fail (apart from around christmas) EMS has taken 3 or 4 days and SAL between 8 and 10, with no damaged boxes whatsoever. My last order seems to have gotten lost though, it's been 44 days since it shipped, but it's only something cheap and I'm not too worried. From everything I've heard HLJ are good at satisfying customers with complaints, so once the 60 days are up I'll let them know and hopefully they'll sort it out. HLJ are a damn good company, I don't see why people complain about things that are out of their control. Once a package is posted HLJ no longer have control over it.

My #7 has it on both mirrors. Even though they're supposed to be evenly packed, I only ever seem to see reviews and pictures of #8. It's probably just a coincidence though.

Yup. Damn good thing it is too, probably my favourite of all the EVA versions available. Super poseable, a ton of accessories, the generator battery pack and light up shoulders, the only downside is the difficulty of putting the vinyl over the internal skeleton.
