Goyer wrote the Nolan Batmovies. No reason yet to doubt this one. But Goyer did also write/direct Blade 3.

Seems like a vast improvement over the Armada figure. Except for the loss of ratchet joints, of course.- 16945 replies

Wow. And they pretty much have the lowest priced 3rd party toys available. Glad I nabbed the few I did.- 9240 replies

If enough parts of the Toynami Alpha are replaced, it could surpass Gakken.

Prime is probably an example of one of the bad Alternators. He wasn't even intended to be Optimus initially, but Takara twisted arms because a pickup truck wouldn't sell in Japan. I'd say the Silverstreak mold is one of the best and Hound is middle-of-the-road.- 16945 replies

Ugh... Why is TRU.com so damn inconsistent? One week they're doing preorders, then the next they're being release date Nazis. All of which would be moot if the stores were stocked.- 16945 replies

I picked up a Sandstorm this past weekend. Was surprised to find one so soon. Definitely worth a double dip. He's only technically the same mold as Springer. Peaugh's video review points out that there are more unique parts on each figure than common ones.- 16945 replies

Nope. Alternators are 1:24 scale. And if I'm not mistaken, Alternity are 1:32 (roughly the size of Deluxe Class TF cars before the downsizing a couple years ago).- 16945 replies

That's what I took from the discussion. The Matty Voltron was aimed at adult collectors, not kids. Had that been the prevalent line of thought from concept to execution, many of its gimmicks would have been dropped in favor features that would have earned praise from collectors rather than their ire. Smaller pilots, more complex transformations, and lions with necks, for example.

Man of Steel - Superman movie has a director

I totally agree. I think the one lesson he took from Pa Costner was "Hide. And if the thought of revealing your powers should cross your mind...hide even harder."- 442 replies

Man of Steel - Superman movie has a director
RD Blade replied to Mr March's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Saw it last night. I dug it. It seems they borrowed quite a bit from Smallville's Zod and Jor El relationship. The Kryptonian tech practically co-starred in the flick as it is so unique.- 442 replies

The Megazone 23 Garland By Yamato Thread
RD Blade replied to Renato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I checked out my Garland. The new shoulders have held up fine. However, the metal swing arms seem to have eroded. I will definitely be ordering a plastic set from Veef along with a ton of other stuff when funds loosen up. Hopefully the Alpha hands will be in his store at that time.- 1056 replies

The Megazone 23 Garland By Yamato Thread
RD Blade replied to Renato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The shoulders on the newer ones (after the MZ1 Garland) and the replacement ones Yamato USA was sending out are reportedly made of POM plastic. I got a replacement set years ago and the plastic used definitely had a different finish and color than on the original shoulders. I haven't checked my Garland to see if the shoulders held up, but will try to locate it and take a look.- 1056 replies
